Today I made arrangements with my teammates to go to the batting cages. Only four of us were available for practice and going to a field would have been kind of useless. So I went on Yelp and began to look up nearby locations and this is the first place that popped up. Took a moment to look at their rates and was pretty impressed with what I found. Great place to keep in mind if I ever have a kid because the staff is full of professionals with prior baseball and softball experience. Early this morning i made a reservation and I took a deal today which was $50 for one hour. With the $50, you get one lane and can have up to six people with you. Once inside I went to the register in the front. Payment was easy and the man helping us was extremely nice. Everything was all set up for us when we arrived. The guy at the register was more than happy to also adjust the machine to our needs whenever we needed it. I liked this as opposed to a regular batting cage because you have the ability to adjust the pitch. In total, there are four lanes inside the facility. For an hour the four of us were able to take more than enough swings (it wound up being only $12 a person). I was kind of disappointed we didn't bring gloves because we could have even thrown around a little bit! Next time! The one thing I would like to point out is that facility is not for individual use while batting. You need someone with you to feed the pitches to you. All and all, I consider this place a homerun! I will be more than happy to return in the future!

I have experienced some really good ones and some really bad ones-- Puzzle Out and Grand Theft Jersey City would rank in the top of the middle. On Friday night, we booked a room for 10 of us friends for the following Saturday Night. I was surprised they had availability for their 10PM session. I gave the room a call first to ask if it would be possible to have a private game since there were so many of us. It worked out because they have two of the same rooms-- a walk in came so they were able to put them in the other room. The website says that up to 30 people can play in this room (which is CRAZY) but I don't think that's correct. 10 in the room is the perfect amount. The game itself was fun. I haven't done one where there was more than one objective (i.e. to get out and get more money). There were a few broken/notworking elements which essentially hindered our overall performance (if we were able to use it properly we would've gotten out). The debrief at the end was also a little unorganized. All in all, I'd come again or go to their Hoboken location to try another room.

My husband and I woke up with hand, foot, and mouth disease this morning, which we caught from our…read moretwo year old daughter. My husband is miserable and I am in a lot of pain. Neither of us foresaw this and we were both looking forward to attending prior to becoming ill. I am aware that there is a $30 rescheduling fee (which seems high, as each of our tickets cost $30 as it is) but I thought that illness might be an exception, especially as this rash is highly contagious and I did not develop the blisters until this morning (the day of the booking). Unfortunately, upon calling, the employee informed me that his manager could not authorize the waiving of our rebooking fee. I honestly find this to be ridiculous! When exactly does the manager find a situation necessary for the fee to be waived!? Only after someone dies? Am I really expected to come in and participate, possibly infecting all those I come into contact with and while in pain? My husband and I are first time parents and live in Jersey City with no nearby family. We literally had this date night planned for weeks and it was devastating enough just to have to reschedule it, let alone find I needed to cough up ANOTHER $30 just to schedule it for another day. I am not made of money as it is and have to budget out the things we do paycheck to paycheck. Not only do I not have an extra $30 on hand, I also feel strongly that it was not fair or just to expect me to pay. I honestly feel like the manager I spoke to had no empathy or compassion for my situation and when I expressed my frustration with him and ultimately told him I planned to communicate via the website and other online forums about my feelings he smugly told me to use my freedom of speech and hung up the phone. I am now out $60, with no experience, and feel like I've been treated like a dispensable piece of garbage. I will NEVER give my business to puzzle out again and will specifically seek out alternative puzzle room companies to give my business to in future. I also plan to provide an in depth review of the company and how I was treated to every website I can find. Your employees should really be trained to have more compassionate toward their customers and attempt to treat people with more genuine respect.

Not sure if that a correct explanation but it's perfect for beginners like us. Arsenio was our staff belay person and he was great at encouraging my son and I (especially) to keep going to the top and we did on a couple walls! Staff here is nice and welcoming but we were a little confused on where to leave our things but luckily I spotted lockers in the bathrooms, no lock needed - there's instructions on how to set it up nearby! We had so much fun challenging ourselves to something new like this and will be back again, soon. Parking in Hoboken is always tricky but not too bad on a Thursday night when we came just arrive early to look for a spot. And book online!

Snack Bar was a new concept from the folks behind the nearby Schmitty's. While the latter had dim…read moremood lighting, live music, and a rear garden, Snack Bar was bright and offered a back room for kids to play. Giving parents a venue to enjoy a beer while their children mingled was an interesting concept. I was unsure how the vibe would be to visit without kids, but, thankfully, it was not too rowdy on that Saturday evening. It was around 6:30 pm, and there were two families in the main sports bar area, but their children were quietly enjoying themselves. The back room seemed to have wrapped up for the evening, so we did not feel that out of place indulging in our cocktails in the main room. We sat at the bar and received excellent service from a friendly bartender. We did not order any of their light bites or snacks, but were really there to indulge in a beverage. While it was more of a sports bar, they did offer several custom, seasonal cocktails. I tried the Apple Cider Spritz, which included prosecco, Aperol, apple cider, and cinnamon. The bitter Aperol helped balance the sweetness from the cider, but the drink could have used more bubbles. After we finished our beverages, the bartender showed us the kids' playroom, which had air hockey, some small climbing platforms, a small table with chairs, and so on. It was mainly a large space that was on the empty side, but perhaps they will add more interactive toys as times goes on. Regardless, it definitely was an unique spot that would clearly attract families with children of all ages. We will go back, but will try to stick to times where it will be more peaceful and adult-focused.
