Rude? Yes. When I shopped for bikes for my kids, I bypassed the place and bought mine in Ft Lee! After 20+ years of patronage, I am never to step in there again because the owner condescends on his customers! Not everyone who rides a road bike rides 10,000 miles, but a local shop owner should not make them feel inferior when they have supported them for so many years.

I took my bike and walked it home. As I was walking the bike started to move as normal. Right after they told me the motor blew up, if a motor blew up it can not just magically come back to life. They been scamming for years and years. Everybody in the heights always says do not come here , they just lie to your face, Dominicans just getting drunk watching tv with people who don't even work there, the whole place is disorganized, and every time I talk to victor He is always Drunk. He is so lucky I didn't put my hands on him.

But when Victor, waiting in the street, saw us approach with a loaded bike and flat tire, he grabbed the bike and had it on the repair stand faster than most people say hello. We were riding into Manhattan for a birthday celebration and Victor had us on our way quickly. He even adjusted a brake and offered a bungee cord to help our journey. This guy probably isn't a speed shop, but there are fewer and fewer people like him in the world. Note that he says he's open 360 days a year including New Years... this is clearly his passionate avocation.

Back to shop, fixed tire and when I asked the price, they said $25, but I mentioned the wall sign says $20 fixed rate. I give the $20 and they argue with me, and someone not involved gets involved and I feel like I'm being attacked. I leave the shop again, and the back tire, just "fixed" is completely flat by the time I got home 5 blocks. I thought the shop was going to be OK, but I cannot recommend it. Plus, I have a completely flat back tire.

They have plenty of bikes available, altho pricey, they are of good quality as is known for Trek bikes. I thought about waiting to write a review for this particular store but since we visited twice at this point, what really had me decide to just say/write something is the excellent customer service here. Each and everyone of the staff know their stuff! They are also very polite and personable. First visit on 7/16/20 we were assisted by Daniel and had a very pleasant experience with him. He was very patient and answered our questions. Knows their products well and their specs. Today we were also greeted by Abe, who took our temperatures before we got in, he too was also very friendly. Next Paul helped us get some accessories. Both he and Chad assisted us with bike measurements and were great. Would recommend this place to Trek and bike enthusiasts! Great location too with ample parking and lots of space if you want to test your bike out for a little ride.
