Hudson florist makes beautiful arrangements that may KILL your friends' pets. I ordered flowers with written instructions to leave out lilies, stating they are toxic to the cats in the house. Flowers were delivered WITH lilies. When I called to ask what could be done- they offered to deliver a new lovely bouquet. This never happened. I called to follow up and literally have been hung up on. Told, "It's too late now. It's too late now." I was as polite and respectful as any Montana gal can be- but this shop has shown NO accountability for its dangerous conduct. read more

The owner and employees are always very sweet and helpful. The flowers are always fresh and vibrant. They will tell you when new shipments are coming in. They never try to push a sale on the older florals. They place a cart of fresh flowers on the sidewalk, sure it us to draw customers in to make a sale but it makes the sidewalk so colorful. They also showed me the garden that they built in the back alley of the store... WOW, they just love to brighten up the neighborhood with their passion for floral displays. Really bad experience. Placed a large "upgraded" order. Flowers were delivered in the evening (after the work day). The recipient didn't receive them till the next day. I called to check on them during the day and were assured they would get there. When I called the next day to voice my dissappointment the management team blamed COVID. The store is a little disorganized so it's kind of disconcerting at first. There's not much on display so when we asked for examples of what arrangements are available, the owner called us behind the counter to look at the website. Not what we were expecting but he asked good questions and directed us to some reasonable options. Because the flowers are in cases in the back instead of on the sales floor, you kind of have to take on faith that you'll get what you asked for. Ultimately we ended up with a large "In Memoriam" spray and two potted peace lilies at reasonable prices. We mentioned that blue was Granny's favorite color and the owner went the extra mile by adding blue ribbon and dying some of the flowers blue. The standing spray was HUGE. Flowers were very fresh and it looked as good, if not better, than the pics on the website. The experience was very emotional but the proprietors were very kind throughout and assured us that we would be satisfied. I was looking for a florist around the neighborhood that I can support and go back to. This place had good reviews figured I'll go check them out for my VDay purchase. It was a little crazy since it was the day before VDay, they had a guy upfront very friendly but just kept up selling everything. I was trying to ask for a nice arrangement of roses (no vase) but he was too focused on selling me some of the pre-maid bundles, finally I agreed to the dozen for fifty reasonable price. I really liked some of the arrangements that were maid and waiting for pick up but when I asked for pricing they just said they didn't know. Paid for a dozen roses 50 added 25 for them to make it a little bigger (I even said I could go to 85). Called same day to order flowers for my daughter for her birthday. I found a beautiful arrangement on their Instagram page and asked for her to replicate it as closely as possible but add a vase and make it a bigger arrangement. The flowers arrived on time and were stunning. Usually I'm somewhat disappointed when I deliver flowers and people send me a picture of what arrived. I loved what they did and the flowers were modern and somewhat exotic compared to what you normally see. Not the typical carnation or baby's breath filler. It's very fitting that Hudson Florist be my first review on Yelp. I've been coming to this place since high school. The couple who run the shop is incredibly sweet, and definitely aim to please; and when their kids help out, they are equally helpful! The prices are fair and the quality is top-notch (in terms of the flowers' BEAUTY and longevity). By the way, I usually just tell them the amount I'd like to spend and occasionally a color theme to follow and let them do the rest. I always wind up with absolutely supreme value. read more

I needed flowers for a funeral, quickly, so I jumped on Yelp to find a Jersey City florist. I called Hudson Florist and the person who answered directed me to their website. I was able to place my order on the website within a few minutes. We were pleased to see the flowers looking fresh and full and lovely at the funeral home, and they remained that way until the burial service the next day. The price didn't seem unreasonable, although I don't have much experience ordering funeral flowers so I have no comparison. But they looked nice, so that's what counts. I don't know how this place gets five stars and all the nice reviews on Google. The people working there (I'm guessing the owners) are the most unfriendly people I have ever seen, especially in a service oriented establishment. They are not ready to help or make an effort to serve customers. What a sloppy job they did, when I asked for a 'beautiful birthday bouquet' for my mother-in-law! I spent $50, hoping to get a decent looking bouquet, but what I got was old flowers, bunched up together with no attention to color or arrangement. And I have had the same experience a couple of times before too. They just want to rush you out of there. I only used to go there because of their convenient location to my home, but not anymore. I am extremely pleased with Hudson Florist. I have been using them as a concierge for a large hotel in the area. Usually I have weird requests and alterations that I can't do on the website and they are very accommodating. Very recently I needed some last minute flowers for a wedding and was able to get a beautiful arrangement in less than 30 minutes delivered to the hotel. Over all I am extremely pleased with how prompt and professional they have been with my ridiculous request and highly recommend to anyone who needs a florist who will try to make your day a little better by finding a way to satisfy your need. read more

Recently stopped in to take a look around. I am new to the area and wanted to brighten up my new place with fresh flowers. They had a great selection and were able to masterfully design a vase arrangement. During my visit I was engaged in pleasant and fun conversation by the two women working. They were polite and professional. I mentioned that I planned on a PINTEREST DIY for my bridal shower and asked if I would be able to purchase red roses in bulk from them at a closer to wholesale price. In chatting with the ladies, they were enthused and excited about my Kentucky Derby theme and said that they would call a few wholesalers and see about getting me the best price. They also mentioned that if they could get them at a decent cost they would be willing to help work within my budget to arrange the roses as I had envisioned. Everything turned out amazing! Just placed an order online for an arrangement to welcome our first grandchild. The order was completed and my credit card was charged. I then received a phone called advising me there was a $60.00 minimum and I was a dollar short, I offered to pay another dollar as the website did not mention this. I was told they automatically cancelled my order. I was then asked questions about the type of housing the order was being sent to, which at this point should not matter since they cancelled my order! I was rudely told there was nothing they could do for me, it was a busy day. I find this shop authentic, and the phone number on the website is the actual number, not a fake one like the other florist. Sitting in Texas I wanted to send flowers to my husband on our 2nd anniversary, and had few questions. So called the number but it went to the voicemail. I'm pretty disappointed with the arrangement that was delivered. I ordered the 'How sweet it is - deluxe" bouquet for my mother's birthday. On the website, the flowers were arranged beautifully, but in person, it just looks like a bouquet that one would get at a supermarket for much less money and then put in a vase, not an actual flower arrangement. I'm glad that they were delivered on time, but I don't think I'll be using them again. read more
