She gave recommendations on how to take care of the flowers before the wedding an packaged everything nicely for transport. We did experience a slight hiccup with pickup times not being aligned, but Dorothy worked quickly to make sure that our order was fulfilled in time. She worked with us to come up with a plan that fit into the venue's motif and our vision and was responsive and affordable and executed the plan exactly as discussed. I purchased a bouquet online to be delivered for a friend's birthday, but at the very last minute I found out she was going out of town. I recently moved to Jersey City and just got married yesterday actually! Working with Dorothy was absolutely amazing! She's so kind and professional. The flowers were lovely and she listened to my requests. I asked for whiter/pale roses. She forewarned me of the shortage due to everyone getting married. Just try buying a suit and wedding dress or scheduling a court date to get married right now or the last couple months it's been quite the ordeal. Anyways, it's easier to call and order through the phone I found. You can order online but some options it's difficult to navigate the website, the option to add a boutonnière is not there but they offer it. Delivery is free. I mentioned to Dorothy, I'm a smaller woman so I wanted a bridal bouquet more appropriate for my size that wouldn't make me look like a child bride. They were tasteful and lovely. Honestly they came out even more lovelier than I imagined. I'm currently pressing my husband's boutonnière and want to open up my bouquet so I can dry it. His boutonnière really brought out the color of his suit and eyes it was quite appropriate for a fall wedding. Dorothy basically gave me the flowers I didn't know I wanted. I told her light colored preferably white but do what you need to do and smaller, you're the professional. I've never used Noah's Ark Prior since I just moved here. I like to shop local. I will definitely be buying more plants and floral arrangements from here and would highly recommend them for everyday and especially for special occasions. This was the best floral experience I've ever had! I live in BK but my friends in Jersey City, and just had their first baby. My coworker at Estée Lauder, who lives in JC recommended Noah's Ark. I ordered a flower bouquet online, to be delivered in New Jersey. Before making an order I e-mailed them a few questions regarding the online options and making modifications, since I'm living overseas I wanted to make sure everything would go smoothly. I was happy to receive a quick answer from Dorothy who was very reassuring and helpful. After making my online order I sent them an e-mail with inspiration photos and my general vision of what the bouquet is supposed to look like. The colour combination I mentioned was "burgundy / blush with cream white", since I specifically wanted to avoid very intense pink flowers, sadly this is exactly what I got. The bouquet itself is beautiful and fresh but I was a bit dissapointed by the arrangement, because I hoped for a more natural look, which I also mentioned in the e-mail, with a slightly different colour pallete. While the customer service was excellent and very forthcoming, the final outcome is only subpar satisfactorily. Maybe I could've given more information on what I wanted or maybe even less as to not hem the florist and their own vision. They are still open even with Harborside being quieter than usual and construction going on inside as well. BUT it does not give anyone the right to treat a customer with DISDAIN just because that person isn't there to buy a bouquet of roses. Apparently, a part-timer felt I was not worth it for her "effort" and tells me "She's got no time for me, it's Valentine's Day, and I should just come back next week" With a look that says "I was too 'stupid' to realize that today is THE Valentine's Day, and should just go away if not buying roses". The delivery was made by a very nice woman who apologized for the late delivery as she said there was a mix up in orders. This was understandable as I'm sure Valentine's Day is a hectic day for them. However, to compensate for the late delivery she included a box of delicious chocolates which I thought was an extremely thoughtful gesture. I'm surprised by the positive reviews, as I've struggled to have a positive interaction with this florist shop on three separate occasions, most recently today. Forget a warm greeting, as there is no greeting at all - upon turning up to the flower stand ...when I was finally acknowledged, I was immediately made to feel like a (begrudging) favor was being extended ...not a (potentially) paid service offered, including responses to reasonable inquiries like best conditions for specific plants and what pots were available. My first encounter, I made a purchase ...second and third I walked away empty handed. Sad, as I really wanted a new office plant but I'll be damned if I beg a business to take my money. She even went the extra mile and put little water test tubes on every rose. Almost a week later and the roses are still gorgeous. This is the WORST florist ever. Save your time, money, and aggravation. The owner is rude, condescending, and does not appreciate customers. They have the absolute worst customer service. They missed their delivery date by 2 days and tried blaming it on me...nice, huh? And when I tried to explain what happened, she just kept interrupting me, trying to talk over me. Being new to the area I had to find a new florist, so I tried Noah's Ark Florist based on the positive reviews. I planned a nice romantic dinner at home and knew that the flowers would get there by 8pm at the latest. As it is, when 9pm came and passed I decided to show my wife the picture of the $100 bouquet I got her. At 9:55pm the flowers came looking nothing like the picture online. Dotty did an amazing job for our party! Before we met with her at her shop in Exchange Place, we emailed her a picture of a centerpiece (flowers and candles) that we liked. We met within a week, and Dotty constructed a sample that nearly mimicked the picture. We were surprised at how similar it was to our vision! We still requested some changes, which Dotty incorporated without question. She was so helpful and responsible throughout the process. She answered emails within a couple of hours, which was fantastic. She even met with us at the venue a couple of weeks before our party to show us how the actual arrangement would look. The centerpieces for our party wound up being beautiful and elegant - we had nearly 20 of them. The flowers were fresh and vibrant. Dotty's price was incredibly reasonable, especially when you compare it to the prices in NYC. There are many florists in the area, and you could spend a ton of time researching them like I did.
