I'll start by saying that the less than stellar reviews was keeping me away. Then a friend who we know enjoys good food insisted we try this place out - so glad we did! Megan was over the top profesional and helpful. All her suggestion were on point. The drinks were done right. The food was good. We had the empanada my only wish it was hotter (temperature wise) otherwise quite tasty. The snapper my husband couldn't stop bragging about it. I had the salmon while it was good something was off not sure I'll order it again. With that being said we will go back!! The views from this place are stellar. Plenty of parking. First and foremost, the atmosphere is fantastic. From the straw chandeliers to the wood finishing, it's stunning. They did a fantastic job capturing the coastal vibe. However, that's the only positive experience this place has to offer. Our bartender lacked joy, personality, and urgency. As a restaurant, if you're going to charge an 18% gratuity, then we should receive the service we are locked into paying for. Now onto the menu....we had the raspberry oysters and they were good. We had to flag down our bartender for hot sauce and salt and pepper but we never received the pepper. We also ordered a side Caesar salad that was drowning in a tasteless dressing and way too much Parmesan cheese and served with a cold chewy piece of bread. The "homemade" stuff chorizo mushrooms tasted like Hormel chili from the can. I actually think what I feed my dogs is better than that. It's highly disappointing living in downtown Stuart and having a great space like Hudson with so much potential, and the food and service were just horrible. The bar was empty on a Sunday for lunch, that should've been our first red flag. We ended up leaving after the round of apps and went to Sailors Return for great service and live music on the patio! We might give them one more try for dinner and see if the food and service improves. I hope this review helps make positive changes to this establishment. read more

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have close to 5 stars. Valet parking. Great ambiance and design. Service is wonderful. Super attentive. Brought a friend for her birthday and they gave us complimentary cocktails. We shared the Arepa as an appetizer. I had the Mango Cucumber salad with blackened shrimp. She had the Mahi Mahi Tacos. All great. We both had different types of mojitos - perfectly made. We had desserts. The Coconut Cream (came with a birthday candle) and the Chocolate Flan. So yummy. It was raining outside so we stayed inside. Live music was happening. The portions are smaller than other places but packed with flavor. I'll definitely be back. read more

Hudson's! What has happened? We've been enjoying this establishment for a few years. I wanted to treat my sister to a good dinner at one of my favorite places. It was such a disappointment. Our server read us the specials. I never thought to ask for pricing. Well, lesson learned. $65 for an appetizer was such a shock. 6 little Kobe beef tips (maybe 1 1/2 - 2 oz) on a fried rice.. $65!!!!! They brought everything together , instead of appetizer first. My salad order came out incorrect and it took over 20 minutes to receive another. My sister had finished her meal, by the time mine arrived. No check up in between on drink refreshment. I don't usually mind the 18% service charge, but I expect to receive good service. Normally, I would add extra. But my salad, my sister's salmon, appetizer & 2 diet cokes = $180 , $25 being the tip, it was sticker shock. When servers are telling guests off menu items, disclosing the price should be routine. On top of everything , the valet did not put the ticket on my keys and did not know which was mine. A confrontation with valet and management was taking place out front as well. Valet person expressing his dislike for the police who arrived. It was not a good look as a whole for Hudson's. I can't recommend this establishment any longer. read more

Beautiful restaurant and located right by the water. It has a beautiful outdoor seating area. The location also has a small bar to the side of the entrance for a quick drink grab. Food was great and service was fast , friendly and presented beautifully. Regardless of group size there is a 18% gratuity on all checks. Parking is a maybe difficult at times due to its location and many businesses near by but they do offer valet services on some days. Bathroom was decorated simple but cute and most importantly clean. This is a hidden gem. The venue and view are stunning. The menu has a lot of exotic and slightly unconventional options. Lots of unusual and delicious options. The sushi is beautiful and delicious. Fish tacos were full of Asian flavors. Mahi sandwich was good, but the fish was a little small. We tried the yuca fries and the French fries. Both were good, but the consenus at the table was Fries Win. The yuca is still worth a try. Full bar. Lots of nice wine and local beer Our server was efficient and readily available. Hudson's adds 18% gratuity to your check automatically regardless of party size. I don't have a problem with that, but others might. Just a heads up. A great experience. read more

This newer restaurant located on the river in Stuart has the nicest views. We sat outside on the patio overlooking the water. Luckily there was an overcast and we were under the umbrella. We started with the Arepa $16 which comes with a salad as well. I had the Shrimp and Scallop sandwich $17 with the yuca fries. Everything was delicious but I wouldn't get the yuca fries again. They are so heavy, you can only have a couple. The inside has a nice vibe and many windows and would sit inside next time. Our server was very nice and helpful. read more

Service was friendly and attentive. There were 4 of us and everyone but myself got sushi. Only one person said their sushi was flavorless. I got the ribs, full rack. The rack was a very good size, flavorful and just fell off the bone. Unfortunately, they came with fries as the side. They were horrible. A little pricy at $39. We went on a Monday late afternoon. The place is beautiful, big artwork on the walls. Walking in past the hostess stand you see the gorgeous water view and bridge as well as the nice outdoor seating area. The chandeliers are beautiful. We sat at the bar and the service by Alex and Bradley (?) was terrific. We were pleasantly surprised that they offered a happy hour. Welcome to the neighborhood! This new establishment is located downtown but closer to the Stuart bridge. It's directly on the water with amazing views including the bridge itself. The best time to go is at night when the bridge is lit up and the moon is out. The building was recently built with a beautiful Hudson sign that's colorful. Hard to miss when driving by. They do have valet, so no worries if you have a hard time finding a parking spot. The inside is very beautiful with large handmade paintings throughout. Once you pass through the hostess stand, you will see a very large bar with plenty of seating in the middle of the room. You will also notice the large windows throughout the restaurant overlooking the beautiful water view. There's plenty of seating inside or outside for small or large groups. On a beautiful day, I would highly recommend sitting outside. The menu itself has a large variety of different kind of menu items. This menu was definitely thought out and creatively done. It's honestly rare for me to be introduced to a brand-new restaurant with so many items that I wanna order at the same time. This is our second time stopping by. Both times we already went to dinner elsewhere. And just stopped by to ordered a drink and a food item. Appetizer -wahoo- These tiny thin slices of wahoo was such a disappointment. Over priced. We did get a dessert the first time around... Rum cake. It was a bit dry and needed a shot or two of rum over it. This menu is pretty expensive so I would hope the portions match the price. My wife and a friend met up for cocktails and appetizers at the bar on a Friday evening. We ordered three appetizers: Spicy Tuna roll, hummus and coconut shrimp. I thought all three were delicious, although my wife and friend thought the hummus was a bit greasy-- I thought it was delicious. The hummus was a slant on the traditional in that the chips were Nori (seaweed) and deep fried hot peppers (right up my alley). They had a good selection of craft beers and a varied wine menu. As for the ambiance:: it is beautiful, with custom weave hanging lights, nice wall murals, and open air dining. The views at the most northern end of stuart are second to no other. I think the reviews are startup accurate, but as time goes on and the staff and kitchen get into their groove, this place will be hard to get into. Starting this Friday (Friday the 13th in May (yikes), they start happy hour, which should help out during these inflationary days. read more

Literally SLAYED. Best espresso martini I've ever had. Crab rangoon dip, mangrove salad, the duck, surf & turf sushi roll were quite literally incredible. The calamari was mid tho.... The first time I went to Hudson's was a great experience. Inside, the decor was excellent and elegant, but it still seemed like a casual dining experience. With barely two weeks since their the grand opening, I expected some delays from the team. Good service out of the kitchen was a little slow but I am confident that those minor snags will be smoothed out the next time I visit. In terms of the food, everything was excellent. Braised rib empanadas were served as an appetizer; the meat was soft and delicious, and the crust was nicely cooked. It wasn't greasy and came with a couple of little dipping sauces. The Tuna Poke bowl was amazing, and the Blackened Magi sandwich was also a great pick for an entree. read more

The decor is modern with very high ceilings and very nice, the view of the river is great! It was very noisy the first time I went because there was some office event, the second time wasn't as noisy but still was. Both times we were seated right away, we went during the week both times. Service was very good both times, the second time it took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The first time I ordered the Rissoto which was very bland in my opinion, large portion, enough to share. I have to say that the manager felt so bad that the Rissoto was brought to the table too soon, as we weren't done with our salads or appetizers yet and by the time we ate it, it was lukewarm so he gave us a free deconstructed coconut pie which was delicious; the second time i went, i ordered the Mahi Mahi with rice and beans, it was good but nothing to rave about. The restaurant is very pretty and upbeat, for those who don't want to spend a lot, it's pricey but I'll probably return but for lunch. read more

Terrible. Went there for Sunday brunch. No parking and no valet. Sat inside on a table next to the bar and my chair was continually bumped by people walking by. Ordered food and never saw the waiter again while we watched diners on adjacent tables that sat down after us, get their food and finish eating. He finally shows up to tell us it is finally ready in the kitchen, at that point we requested it to go. A manager shows up and started with "I understand you want your food to go?" No apology; no offer to make it right. "We're very busy" said she, but had no response when I pointed out at least half the tables were empty. Then, we received the check with a 18% TIP ADDED ON FOR 2 DINERS ,this after complaining about the s*&%$y service!!!!!!! Clearly this place prides itself on lousy customer experiences and management doesn't even pretend to care. Lots of fine establishments in Stuart, no need to spend your hard earned money in Hudson's. WATERFRONT AND BOATHOUSE OFFER BETTER VIEWS OF THE RIVER, ARE NOT ADJACENT TO THE HIGHWAY BRIDGE AND BRIGHTLINE TRACKS, OFFER SIMILAR MENU'S AND SUPERIOR SERVICE. My sister and I stopped in for lunch and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere, staff and food are all amazing!! We had oysters to start. They were shucked properly and so fresh. They might have been the best oysters I've ever had. She had the muscles in coconut curry sauce and I had the Hudson salad with blackened chicken. One of our top spots. Great bar. Love the room and no it's not too loud. Best view on the Treasure Coast. Everything we have had to eat was very good. The Octopus Hot Dog is unique and delicious. The staff is always a lot of fun and Alex the Bartender does an awesome job of anticipating what I'm looking for. We won't be back. Although the restaurant has a nice ambiance, the service was slow and the climate was uncomfortably cold. My filet was undercooked and the sides, a baked potato and asparagus, were lukewarm-warm at best. They recooked the filet to the correct temperature but the sides were completely cold when they reserved the filet. The clam chowder soup was also lukewarm. The Ahi tuna wasn't a quality piece of fish as it was very fatty and the scallops were very salty. read more

I recently tried this for the first time and would have made it a regular spot except for one issue. I made reservations for 7p on the patio and it was a rainy day, but it had cleared up by 4. So I called the restaurant about 5 and asked if the patio was open. They told me it was and I rescheduled my reservation for 530 on the patio and drove right over. When I walked in we were told the patio was closed and we would be seated inside. They had absolutely no issue lying to me and wasting my time to get me to come in. There is no reason to tell customers the patio is open when it is not. Well you got my $100 dollars congratulations, you will not be getting anymore of my money for your dishonesty. read more
