My husband and I visited Circa69 about six times before they originally closed, and unfortunately the food and service were always inconsistent. We were hopeful when they reopened with a new chef and decided to give it another try. Today my husband went with a friend, and the restaurant was completely empty. Despite that, the service was still slow. The appetizers were very disappointing. The lobster rolls had a very strong smell and tasted bad, and the beef shish kebabs had no flavor at all. For three drinks and two appetizers, the bill came to $140, which felt extremely overpriced considering the quality. This place truly has so much potential, but the food and service simply are not up to par, especially for those prices. Unfortunately, this will be the last time my family and I visit Circa69. read more

The only regret I have is not visiting Circa69 earlier during our visit. A week before we left to go home and armed with BOGO burger coupons we came and feasted on perfectly cooked burgers. (rare and medium rare). Burgers had a great taste and came with fries. Coupons are nice but these burgers were worth full price! Our server that day was brand new but you would never know it. Super friendly and always there with a refill. We enjoyed her service as much as the food. The day before we left, we decided to go back for happy hour. We drank and enjoyed bulgogi meat tacos and chili dusted lemon calamari. The server from our last visit Annelise was working in the bar today so we were lucky to have her again. Both appetizers were superb. The rest of the menu deserves serious consideration as well. You enter Circa69 through a somewhat open bar area. There is bar and high top seating with the dining room off to the side. The interior designer who designed or decorated these areas must have had a field day with creativity. There is a guitar display in the dining room with guitars from artists like Jimi Hendrix. With so many new favorite restaurants in the Hutchinson Island/Jensen Beach area, we seem to have no choice but to extend our visit next year so we can hit them all! read more

I don't think thus reboot of a restaurant will make it..... again. I'll start by saying the deviled eggs are the best thing on the menu, although I don't think the price supports two eggs. Our waitress said the meatloaf is the best selling item on the menu, I'm gonna say meatloaf medallions. As you don't get much meatloaf and it's wrapped in a soft fatty uncooked piece of bacon. I think their Burger theme is a knock off of the McDonald's big Mac. It's good, but the bun is terrible. It falls apart not a very good texture or taste. I'm not really sure what to say about the drinks. I've been in there a few times and every bartender makes their drinks different so there's no consistency. You should be able to go into a bar that makes fancy cocktails and it doesn't matter who makes your drink they should taste the same every time, not the case here. And to make it worse, every drink, I've ordered, I've been there several times, has had lipstick on the rim or some sort of lip gloss smeared. It's really gross. This last time I was there there was red lipstick and all the waitress could say was oh no Maybelline. She didn't offer to replace it. Get me a new glass. Take it off the bill nothing. She just joked about it as if it's a common occurrence. I would describe it as a place where you can get your choice of 30 beers and a slightly elevated menu at very high prices. Love this place! It's on the round a bout at the Jensen Beach bridge. The sign is wicked cool. The ambiance is nice, a bit upscale without feeling over or under dressed. They have many rotating handles, the bartenders are knowledgeable, the team work impeccable. We ordered their Korean bbq wings that were some of the best I have ever had! EVER. The blue cheese dressing was not a stretch, really delicious. I have a degree in beer as I went to beer school so this place for me is a delight. I am disappointed that the Happy Hour menu has changed. The previous menu had a selection of fun drinks at a great price. The flip side featured a nice selection of apps at a reasonable price, as well. Now, it is just a couple of bucks off the regular price. And the Tuna poke nachos are not on the HH menu, anymore. My wife and I have been wanting to visit this place since it opened but hadn't had the chance until today. We saw this place build up over the past year while driving around the town and visiting nearby businesses and the beach. Today we finally had the opportunity to visit and we had an amazing time. It was Saturday at around 3PM so there was no crowd at all and we basically had the restaurant to ourselves. The design of the restaurant is beautiful and it kind of fits everyone. There are tables and chairs for more formal dinners. A bar, booths with small tables by the bar if you feel like just going for drinks, tables around the bar to sit your drinks while watching a game, etc. Everyone was amazing and helpful, truly welcoming folks and made us feel right at home. Our server Kayla was incredible. She went above and beyond to help us (and I mean this. Our toddler was infatuated with the flowers outside and wanted to play with them, she went out to grab some for him so he could play. At another point our toddler saw us get water and he wanted some on his own water cup and she served it to him. She even entertained him while we took the phone away from him when he wanted to play with it. We were truly thankful and impressed with the quality of service she offered us. We have had great servers in the past but she really stood out) We had the Firecracker Shrimp and the Poke Nachos as our appetizers. Both were delicious!!! Our toddler loved the beef sliders and to be honest, so did we! Fries were really good as well. We also shared the Lamb Smash Burger and it tasted amazing!! I tried the beer flight, 4 beers samples for $12, not bad! I'm not a fan of IPAs but I checked out the Circa69 IPA among the other beers sampled and it was a winner! The only thing we were not a fan of was the Keylime Brûlée, it was the best choice for us among the other dessert options (we have tried the ones at Kyle G's Prime Seafood & Steaks and liked that one better) it wasn't as creamy as other ones we have tried. I was happy to see they had espresso coffee so I grabbed one. It was good, just a very small amount compared to other restaurants. Not a biggie, this doesn't change our thoughts of the place at all Overall we truly enjoyed our visit here. The restaurant location and view from the bar is amazing , overseeing the bridge. I have been hesitant to try this place because I thought it was going to be like the majority of restarau ts in the area: over priced and poor quality. But I was pleasantly surprised. When I try a. Ew place I normally start with an appetizer and cocktail because if you mess that up there is no way I am buying an entree. I ordered the Ceasar salad and lobster crab dip with the "I am putting g a spell on you" cocktail. So here ya go: Cocktail: an upscale version of a Pina colada but with style and less sugar. Ceasars salad- excellant flavor profile with the fried capers adding a nice acidic punch, crisp romaine, and a well balanced dressing. I will crave this one. Crab lobster dip- also cravable flavors here. They do not skimp on the meat, and the seafood flavor really comes through. I was not as big of a fan of the crackers served with them. They had a stale texture and were not very practical as they broke apart easily. Staff- bartenders were attentive and friendly. Cleanliness- all of the bottles at the bar were dust free, surfaces clean, pour spouts clean, glasses polished. Check out: They do add an automatic 16% service charge. Arrived 630 pm. Two large parties in the dining area and the manager tells us a wait staff had to leave on an emergency. Great job letting us know in advance. We seated and a waitress brought waters and menus. She came back took drink order. She was hustling. The manager stepped up and came by and took our order. Two bistro burger Dinners and two Snapper dinners. Food came out pretty quick. The food was excellent all around. Came out hot and fresh. Burgers done perfect and fish was also perfect. All around the service was excellent with the staff stepping it up to cover each table and provided exceptional service. The Chefs prepared great food. Will return. GROWING PAINS...LEARNING CURVE I went here on March 1. I believe it had opened for business the day before. So the place was still finding its footing. The ambience is very nice. A cool bar that opens to the outdoors and has beautiful ethereal blue lighting. There are also tables in front of the bar for those who want to sit outside. The interior is very nicely appointed with a lot of modern metal, glass, and shiny wood surfaces. The kitchen is pretty visible, and you can see the plates sitting under the heat lamps. Many, many waiters and waitresses were in service. Our waiter was very pleasant. We were a table of 8 women coming from playing golf. We were seated at about 5:30 and he took our drink orders right away, came back with them, and took our food orders. Separate checks (a usual practice in Florida) was not a problem, he said, (until it became one at the end of the meal). The menu is a typical Kyle G's establishment type...a bit pricey, a tad pretentious, but from what I was told by my friends, worth the price. I ordered the Marguerite flatbread...a good value for $11 because it was Happy Hour. One other person ordered that, too. The rest ordered tacos and a burger. It was a long while before the food came. I saw the flatbreads sitting under the heat lamps for a good 10 minutes. When they came, they were both not hot at all. The fries that came with everyone's tacos and burgers were not hot, either. I mentioned it to the manager who came over to ask how everything was. He said they would address that. OK. Second day, I understand. My check came, and it was $11 plus an added 16% gratuity that is automatic. I don't care for that practice myself. I always give 20% anyway but I want the option to do it. But I could live with this. I noticed the checks all came as little pieces of paper...no no leather bound cover into which you put the check and credit card. The waiter walked away from the table with all of our checks and credit cards in his hand. It was not surprIsing, then that a mistake happened with my check. He came back with my card and a check for Baja Tacos and a Miller Lite for $29. (I had an $11 flatbread and water.) When I pointed out the error, he seemed confused and was sort of suggesting that there wasn't much to be done about it. I was pretty incredulous at his inability to deal with a minor charge problem. I told him I was not paying $29 for an $11 meal. He suggested maybe I would want to talk to the manager? I said yes, spoke to him, and he took my card back to his office. Thirty minutes later the same waiter appears and hands me my card. I asked for a receipt. He didn't have one because they didn't credit my card. So, it was another 15 minutes before I actually got the receipt from him. I told him then that I still hadn't paid for my own meal. He said it was "on him." Not sure if the manager took it out of his earnings or what, but it was a long way to go to fix a simple transaction error. My suggestion is to have clipboards or something in which to place the checks and credit cards as so many other restaurants do. Not sure if I will go back...not a big fan of Kyle G's. But I do think it will do a booming business, as it was pretty busy and my friends all enjoyed it. read more

A great visit to Circa 69. We were greeted by the manager when we walked in the door. Nick was our server and did a phenomenal job serving us. Drinks were always full. He checked on us multiple times and gave great recommendations. We enjoyed every single thing we tried. The cauliflower had great flavor and the sauce was perfect. The blue crab and corn chowder was heightened with a pesto oil drizzle on top. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the Parmesan truffle fries were the best fries we've had in awhile. Love this place! Food is fantastic, drinks are amazing and the service is top notch. Annelise has served our large group twice now and has done it efficiently and professionally. We were greeted by such friendly smiles by the host and Annalise. AJ was so attentive and friendly at the bar. Make sure to sit outside the bar area. They have an outside sitting area that has AC and great music playing. I recommend coming especially when Nico James and Vern & Coby are playing live. Another place to love! I've only eaten at the bar, the bartenders are great! Great drinks, great attention - even when they're busy. The food is delicious, I've had a few smaller seafood items and never disappointed. The ambiance seems a bit split. One the side with the bar seems to have a more vibrant crowd and on the other sit down dining area, it's a bit more serious and quiet. Let me start by saying that I never write reviews. But this place really upset me: my husband and I wanted to check out this new spot with our one year old daughter. They sat us right away and then the servers completely ignored us. We were there 15 mins and no one even offered us water. Well it doesn't state that on Sunday there is just a brunch menu so all of the things I wanted to try were not available! Settled for the Nesha Farm Salad that offered a bunch of tasty filings but when the salad came it was missing 2 of the listed toppings- the applewood bacon and cucumbers- there were 3 tiny pieces of the roasted beets, bummer! The bartender was great and went and retrieved some bacon. There was a healthy slice of avocado and egg whites chopped up but the missing beets, cucumber and bacon would have complimented the huge portion of lettuce much better. The green goddess dressing was very tasty. The atmosphere was phenomenal though, outdoor seating that was air conditioned. I had the cod and it was very dry as were my friend's food. The portion sizes were small. I would have expected the quality to be better considering the average price of entrees were $30+. We started with the grilled chicken kabobs with tzatziki and pita and the deviled eggs. My only regret is eating them so fast that I didn't get a photo. If you are a fish lover, get it - you won't regret it. Get extra butter sauce also. My husband and daughter both enjoyed the slammin jammiin Jensen burger with fries. Third day in and I can see they are working hard to tighten their ship. What a great vibe! The servers are super friendly. They were only offering late night menu when we arrived so a few things were already sold out. We tried the calamari it was ok. The beef sliders were delicious as was the queso and chips! The buffalo chicken tenders did not disappoint we dipped them in the queso YUM. They have valet parking. Designated gender bathrooms. It could be a bit pricey but if they continue serving top quality food we believe the restaurant has the potential to be a real gem for the area. Finally decided to try this place out when my youngest daughter and her husband came for a visit. We went on a Sat night around 9 or so and were happy to find 3 seats at the bar. The gentleman singing was nice to listen to...mellow and not overbearing. We ordered drinks including a $16 Espresso martini. The bartender left a lot to be desired. Not engaging or very friendly- perhaps it had been a long day. I always wonder why people choose this profession if they're not interested in interacting with customers. As the personality of this place, and based on the lackluster bartender (and some inflated prices) I'd recommend you try Crawdaddys. Will probably not go here much all though it's right down the street from where I live. We did order a dessert- key lime brûlée I believe. First bite we were happy that it wasn't super sweet but quickly agreed it was missing something- not sure what ingredient but unfortunately can't recommend it. Our second night in Jensen Beach proved to be a phenomenal dining experience. We decided to check out Circa69, and it was great. We sat at the bar and we're glad we did. Caleb is an outstanding bartender and waiter. He is attentive and makes a great margarita. We weren't really that hungry, but after ordering our first appetizer, the Tuna Poke, we knew we had to sample more. We also tried the Firecracker Shrimp, and the Steak and Mushroom Flatbread. All three were wonderful making us assured that the rest of the menu must be as well. We've already decided that if we're stumped as to where to try next for the remainder of our vacation, we'll head back to Circa69 and keep sampling the menu. Please note: I am a veteran of the customer service industry, especially critical, and hard to please. Terrible service from top to bottom. Ordered the filet medium and when it came out grey inside I sent it back. The manager proceeded to bring the over-cooked piece of meat back to my table, shine a flashlight on it and insist it was cooked to order. IT WAS NOT! Insisted on another piece of filet and when it was presented the "chef" came out with his flashlight to insist it was prepared to order. WTF??!!
