The water was a bit calm but there were a few parts that were crazy. I was in the back of the raft with our guide so that made me feel a bit safer (I'm adventurous but this definitely had my heart racing as a newbie). My fiancé and friends (they've gone white water rafting before) thought the water was too calm and mentioned coming back when the snow is melting and there are more white caps. Our guide was fun and was trying to get us to "surf" our raft next to a rock which was cool. He also jokingly led us into a rock and I flew forward (luckily he caught me before I went too far ha). When you do go, they provide all of the gear you need and more. Buses take you to and from the river. You will also have to help lift the raft to the water with your group (I ended up slipping and falling on the rocks going down to the river so that was "fun", there are snacks/lunch provided when there's a break in between rafting. Towards the end, it was so calm, we had to row for a good mile or two to get us back. When you get back, dinner is provided and it was delicious! I had a fun time and I do want to come back when the water is choppier. Summer was a good choice for a first timer. All in all, I loved this company and our guide (I want to say his name was Buzz). Also heads up, the tubing spot only has one portapotty, so plan accordingly.

This is the second year I've gone rafting with this group and I love it. First of all, I love how…read morethey are so organized and how they emphasize safety AND fun. This activity is good for families and friends. If you're going with children, make sure that you have enough adults to paddle with you for a more exciting and safer experience. Second of all, I have never experienced surfing on a raft until I went with this group! The 4-5 hour drive from the city is totally worth it. It is such a cool experience to surf the raft in the surf holes. Our guide, Mark, is so experienced that we were able to surf almost all the surf holes and enjoy the rush of water as we were surfing. The experience was a good mix of adrenaline rush and relaxation. There were parts where we just freely swam in the water, there was a part where we jumped off an 8-foot rock, there was also a part where you can ride the front of the boat as if you were riding a mechanical bull. This is going to be an annual trip and I look forward to the next year! I forgot to mention - their porta potty's are the cleanest porta potties I have ever seen in my life. They have hand sanitizers and all the supplies you need.

You used to be able just to show up and if they had time they'd let you try out a boat but due to Covid-19 you need to call in advance and make an appointment. They set aside a 90 minute slot so you get a good understanding of the boats. Andy discussed with us what we were looking for and brought out a few canoes to paddle around in their pond. He explained options, styles, accessories and how to get in and out of the boats. He was informative and very patient answering all of my questions. We're going to place and order, put down a deposit and wait 30 long days while they make our boats. When we go back to pick them, they'll fit the foot braces and make sure that everything is good. On our first day, they graciously allowed us to drop off our unmotorized kayaks. Inside the bowed workshop slash hanger a seaplane which was someone's pet project. When ask if it was one of the guys, one bark out with a side smirk, "I only fix 'em and there's no way you'd ever see me trying to fly one, so I guess I'd never own one." Behind the Hanger, three tier storage barn, with neatly wrapped boats in storage. Across the main road on an open parcel, guessing 10+ acres, full of other boats similarly wrapped on trailers in storage. The crew was busy prepping as orders arrived for the summer season. We debated a rental if the kayaking began to fizzle - that never happened. They service, store, rent, and sell a mix of water craft.
