    Hudson in STL airport

There are two Hudson shops in the A Gates area and they are exactly the same. Snacks, drinks, magazines, books and Saint Louis memorabilia. All the things you might need for your upcoming flight to somewhere else. The store is tidy and packed with merchandise, all of it at full retail price. If you've made it this far and you didn't bring your own bag of M&Ms or tube of Pringles or a book for your flight, that's on you. Plan better and you'll save money. The young lady who rang up my purchase was helpful and provided the receipt without asking. Good. [Review 14475 overall, 1801 of 2020, number 104 in Missouri.]

Very nice airport shop with all the essentials. It's especially convenient for those on short stops, as I was, awaiting the second part of a two-flight journey. Whatever you need: books, magazines, newspapers, drinks, snacks, phone charger, etc. is here and the location is well-staffed with pleasant people who help you get what you need and go on your way to the next part of your trip.

Simple and easy transaction. Prices are high, but you pay for convenience. Large selection of sundries, souvenirs, reading materials and snacks. Located across from gate S15.

While this store typically has what I need, $4 for chapstick is insane. This store price gouges every chance they get for basic items.

The baked goods are very dear both in cost and taste. I got some of the best lemon pound cake to celebrate freedom of speech. I felt old because the cashier didn't know what a post card is but I found some nearby at Left Bank Books and besides I am old.

Straub's Fine Grocers is the Erewhon of St. Louis--minus the overpriced smoothies, plus a chicken…read moresalad so legendary you'd think it was smuggled out of the Louvre. People here don't just like it--they lose their minds over it. I've witnessed stampedes toward the deli case that would make Black Friday look like a polite book club. Mention you've had better and you'll be shunned harder than someone who double-dips at a garden party. The thing is... the chicken salad is fine. Solid, even. But I've made better at home, barefoot in pajama pants, with a jar of mayo that was flirting with its expiration date. Shopping here feels like you've been invited into a members-only grocery lodge. The produce is flawless, the cheese selection could make a Parisian weep, and every item has a backstory worthy of a TED Talk. You're not just buying bread--you're procuring a "heritage grain boule, hand-shaped by sun-kissed artisans during a waxing moon." That wedge of cheese? It's from a small goat named Gerald who only eats lavender and listens to classical music. Of course, this level of "curated grocery chic" comes at a cost. I left with a bag the size of a throw pillow and a receipt that looked suspiciously like my car payment. But the place is immaculate, the staff is gracious, and the people-watching is world-class--equal parts country club and culinary cult meeting. Bottom line: Come for the spectacle, marvel at the devotion to chicken salad, and if you're feeling dangerous... casually say, "I think I've had better" and watch civilization collapse in the dairy aisle.

Walk-in vending machine for the 200th review- all to replace Apu!…read more http://www.lyricspedia.com/simpsons/who-needs-the-kwik-e-mart-lyrics/ I wanted to find a interesting business for the my great landmark in yelping. (I find this funny because I did not pay attention to what I reviewed for the 100th) The business was presented to me as the first self serve mini-market in St Louis. Think of this as part mini-market & part walk-in vending machine. No teller to greet you, thank you or wish you a good day. Just a faceless black box to scan your items then take your account info, credit card or foldable cash (no coin). While the 24 hour (with access to building) convenient ability of buying sandwiches, salads, chips, drinks, ice cream, gum and cereal sounds great... I still feel like I am cheating someone out of a job. I decided to buy a pack of gum with no price on it, but it was $1.99 plus tax & two packs came up on the screen. I decided that was telling me I did not need the gum. The $3.99 salad (pic) looked better than anything I have seen come out of a vending machine. The ice cream was only $1.39. I just keep thinking I am going to see "The Simpsons" episode with Apu being replaced by a black box. What is going to happen to all those babies? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eight_Misbehavin'
