The quality of instruction provided here is superb. Adam-sensei's attention to detail is top-notch, a fact which is attested to by the seriousness found in his higher-ranked students. Anyone who has trained here can tell you that the intensity, precision, and dedication found herein are rare treasures. I've had the pleasure of training with Adam-sensei and his students many times throughout the years, and it is something that I always look forward to. Attention is paid to the details- be it the preservation of the classical arts (and correct pronunciation of the Japanese terminology), the feeling of 'reality' which is presented with knife drills and sparring, the correct hip position for leveraging someone who outweighs you by 50 pounds for a proper koshi-nage (hip throw), or just the right way of passing a sword from one person to another. Correct presentation of the classical arts is a very important aspect of the training here. Studies of the classical densho (scrolls) and an understanding of the poetically named techniques are critical elements in learning to uncover the 'flavour' of each form. However, training with present-day ideologies is still presented in a manner which, to use a rather cheesy phrase, "Brings the wisdom of the ages to the modern training hall". Sorry about that, but it truly is an apt description. Go check it out. I promise you that you won't be disappointed. And who knows, maybe you'll see me out on the mat getting thrown around. I can promise you that I'll have a smile on my face!!

The classes are taught by Sensei Adam Mitchell who has the utmost respect and passion for the martial arts. Everybody at the Dojo is super friendly and nonjudgemental of your ability. You will fall in love with the Japanese culture and history while learning traditional combative skills that are also extremely practical for self defense. They are also a fantastic workout. If you are thinking about learning a martial art definitely stop by and try a trial class. you will be pleasantly surprised. having tried boxing and several other commercialized McDojos prior to enrolling at the Jinenkan Dojo, I can assure that nothing else compares.

Sadly life gets in the way of plans and I was unable to continue training. I have stopped by over the years and was inspired everytime I watched classes of all ages that the attention to detail was still very obvious. I would recommend this school and it's instructors to everyone without any reservations whatsoever. I would trust Shihan and anyone he trusts to deliver the best training possible. My experience was fantastic and the only thing I regret is letting it slip away from me.

So my question is those words are from a professional person that who is working with kids? I don't think so! I don't recommend this school at all, if the master instructor doesn't have patience please don't accept kids. Also why they made me pay for one month if after 2 weeks they called me to say that my son isn't ready to take their class? I paid for one month and he just go 4 times in 2 weeks. Very disappointed!
