In my first visit to Dr. Totonelly an ultrasound was performed on both my legs which helped to identify damaged veins. I was then very well educated by Dr. Totonelly regarding the varicose vein treatment I was to receive to relieve my vascular problems. I was really happy when my Aetna insurance approved the surgery, called Endovenous Ablation. That surgery was done in the office under local anesthetic and no hospitalization was required. It took approximately 45 minutes per leg, which were surgically repaired with a one week interval between the two surgeries. In both instances I was able to walk without any problems the same day of the respective surgeries. Amazingly, within a couple of weeks after the surgeries I STOPPED FEELING burning and annoying pain in my legs. On the next day she was admitted into hospital. All the staff we met when she stayed there were responsible, kind, and patient. Especially Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa, who was in charge of my mother in ER, was very experienced and rich in medical knowledge. He diagnosed accurately and gave the best treatment quickly. He was also very patient when explaining the situation to my mother and persuaded her to accept the next step treatment ASAP, which allowed her symptoms to be relieved the next day without need of surgery. And comforting. The nurse Lisa would actually call me at home when he made any progress. Mike the nurse was my husband's favorite nurse. The experience was a great one even in a very scary situation. Physical therapy needs attention. I recently went for an evaluation for PT. I have family members…read morewho have had positive experience with the Chiropractor and one of the PT workers (younger male). Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience. The afternoon PT worker was more interested in pushing his MLM that helping me with my treatment. At one point he took my number, I assumed it was for appointments purposes. Odd because the front desk has my contact information. Turns out it was to send me a video to push a "miracle oil". I decided not to return and to elsewhere. Best thing I ever did. The new practice was wonderful. We did a number of exercises, gave me a workout plan for home, discussed what to look for with footwear and suggested adaptive equipment my insurance would cover. What a difference! I feel sad that people come for help and they are being pushed a product. People who need PT are vulnerable, often elderly or young kids on sports teams. They need help getting back to their normal activities. It wasn't professional or at all ethical.

Dr Rosa is one of the most caring doctors I have experienced in a long time. His education and…read moretraining in upper cervical trauma along with intracranial hypertension was impressive. I have been to several neurologists and a neuro-opthamologist along with a neurosurgeon who did not understand how the upper cervical spine could be causing my symptoms and that I did not have intracranial hypertension, but none of them did an upright MRI with flex/ext or imaging that looked in this area. I was made to feel like it was all in my head and that I just needed an antidepressant. I am tired of being dismissed by doctors who don't understand this complex area of the body and how it relates to your brain/body function. I don't feel the neurology group is serving their patients since they cannot find or explain their symptoms they are put into a catch all diagnosis of function neurological disorder. If you are experiencing symptoms that your neurologist can't explain go see Dr. Rosa. He is amazing and a ray of hope!
