The restaurant employee stated it doesn't come with cheese although queso cheese was specified in the description. I said please just make sure there is no cheese. She basically made me feel as if I didn't know what I was ordering and I was truly unsure of what I would be picking up. Upon pick up I was directed to the back counter where I stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me even though there were three team members in the immediate area. After a long day of traveling we decided to get take out from this restaurant that was in our hotel parking lot, so glad we did. Hubby said catfish dinner was very good and French fries were the best, packed well and was hot. I got the mushroom Swiss burger and fries and this was super great bun was so good, almost like a brioche type, super soft and toasted with butter on the grill, meat patty was at least 1/2" thick covering the WHOLE bun done to perfection with slight pink and char kiss from the grill. Our hotel was right across the parking lot from Hudson's and they offered a 10% discounts so we thought we would try it. The first night we went they had a hard time seating us even though no one was in there. Once we were sat no one came to take our order so we left. This place is awesome. Very cool decor with vintage auto industry tone. It's just off the highway in hotel row, with plenty of parking or an easy walk from several hotels. Varied menu including several sea food dishes, steaks, burgers, various sandwiches, salads and several specialities. Healthy menu too. Full bar, and the Margarita special was great. This review amounts to 3 stars for food and 1 star for service. We were a party of 4 and were seated within 3 minutes. Drinks (fountain sodas) took about 10 minutes and food took about 40 minutes to come even though the restaurant was only 1/4 full. I ordered iced tea and it was gross. There was a dirty funk to it and the server blamed it on the brand (Fuse) but I think the cup or dispenser were dirty. The server did not check back and was pretty careless of our party. My kids enjoyed their quesadilla and cheeseburger and my wife enjoyed the French dip with cheese curds. I had the whitefish basket with tater tots and it was mediocre and the fish overcooked. It's a shame because the restaurant is located less than 5 miles from Lake Superior. Oh well. Our bill was supposed to be discounted 10% as we were staying in the Days Inn which is attached but we did not get it and I needed to move on. We will not be back. read more

Stopped at Hudsons because of their pet friendly patio where our furry little guy was served his own bowl of water by our friendly server, Kelly Sue. Bacon cheeseburger was magnificent, white fish bites were superb, as well as the cole slaw, onion rings, fries, & cold beer. Rave reviews from these Texans! The only reason I am giving two stars is because of amazing service from our waitress, Heaven. We were staying in a hotel directly across the street, and decided to try this restaurant. The wait was 45 minutes which would be understandable if they were very good and therefore popular, but they had many empty booths and would not seat anyone. I asked twice how long the wait would be, but when I got five minutes both times and resorted to looking on the list. There was one family ahead of us, who walked in after us and had a much larger party. The food was mediocre at best, the fries were good, but the burger tasted like there was mold on the bun. The service was ok once we were seated, and I would honestly recommend McDonald's over this place. Normally I will eat whatever is put in front of me no problem and I downloaded Yelp specifically because I have never had worse food. read more
