Andrew helped my husband and I when we came into Hudson's Furniture for the first time. We had already been to Kane's furniture, Blocker's Furniture, Rooms to go, and Ashley's Furniture. We were on the hunt for a new sectional and just couldn't find anything we loved at the other stores. Hudson's wasn't on our radar at all, and we had no idea it was tucked back being Home Depot. This was our last store for the day before we gave up for awhile and boy am I glad we decided to walk through their showroom. They have so many beautiful sets on display in their showroom that we didn't see at other furniture stores. It seemed like the first 4 stores we went to all had the same exact furniture. We learned that Hudson's can custom make your furniture from a whole stack of fabric colors and patterns they have available. We sat on this sectional in the store and didn't want to leave it. They had a friends & family sale a couple days later so we decided to come back then and order the sectional. Andrew was funny and helpful. He never rushed us or pressured us to buy. We got our new sectional delivered within 1 week. It is gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. It has extra deep seats and a huge matching ottoman. We will spread the word about Hudson's to friends and family to let people know about this hidden gem. read more

Horrible customer service!! They are very eager to sell furniture, but that is the end of it. We bought the protection plan because they assured us any nicks, everything would be covered. After a few years when we call to have a few nicks repaired, furniture protection, people ruined our furniture. Look at the pictures, we would have left the nicks if we knew how they were going to ruin the furniture. After 6 months of phone calls they offered us $80 to have it professionally repaired! What a joke! After getting upset and talking to managers they came up to $150. We have had the worst experience with the counter stools we purchased from this store. Of the six chairs delivered to us, only one was not damaged. The backs were split on two on them, one has a nail protruding out of the veneer and two have insects eating the stools. We purchased a brand new house and everything in it is new. We immediately contacted the customer service rep when the Hudson furniture was delivered about the issues. We were told they could not send a tech for a month and that we could not move the 2 bug infested chairs into the garage or it would void the warranty. After 2 months of Hudson's not returning calls timely, they are offering us a store credit. There are no other stools that go with our design but our only choice to to select something we do not want. Meanwhile, we were expected to keep the bug infested stools at our home for over 2 months. We offered to at least drop them off at the showroom for them to keep them but they have refused. We are so frustrated with the lack of customer service and resolution. We also purchased furniture from City Furniture, Pottery Barn, Macy's, Birch Lane, and Wayfair. I highly recommend you purchase from one of these companies instead of Hudson's. At some point Hudson Furniture needs to stop pushing the blame onto others and step up their customer service game. I'm tired of being told, "you're not the only one", " We don't know what's going on" or "it's not us, it's the times" We placed an order in May with a 50% deposit and over 7 months later, we have no idea when or if it will come in. To make us feel better about our situation the sales manager inform me they have customers who have been waiting for a year to receive their orders. I'm not sure what to do with that information, but I feel like there was a hidden message in the story? I understand we are not the only people in this situation and being told that multiple times does not make this easier or better. Continuing to sell product you don't have and have no idea when you will get in. .... is not okay! You took our money and as the customer left me with no options. Absolutely TERRIBLE Customer Service. When message chair was delivered the programming mechanism was broken. Said they would have a technician contact me. 2 days later I got an email from technician to schedule a time for 2 weeks later. Gave me a number to call to reschedule. When I called to reschedule I was told I had to cancel from and they would have a technician contact me again. We couldn't talk to a technician or know when we could get this serviced if we canceled. Can't talk to Manager unless you tell them the problem and when you tell them they say "the manager isn't taking calls now." I REALLY was dreading going furniture shopping as it's always a headache for me. First you usually get attacked at the door and have someone hound you around the store. This was not the situation when I entered this conveniently located store and was greeted by a salesman name Kiah. He defused my anxiety right off the bat by asking what we were interested in looking at and said he wasn't going to come with us unless we wanted. I said we're good, and he told us the where area we needed was. This guy was AWESOME. He was able to offer advice on the size and colors we need in furniture and asked if we had dimensions of the room and any photos. We did and he came back with a computer generated diagram of our room to see exactly how out selection would look. The guy is as personable as he is professional. Look for Kiah when you come to this store as it has a huge selection and he was the perfect person to guide you from start to finish. read more

We had shopped at several furniture stores before coming to Hudson's in Ocala and will most likely never go anywhere else! Our sales person, Taylor was amazing and really helped us pick out exactly what we had in mind. Pretty much everything in this store can be customized to what you want! It will take several weeks to get our table and loveseat, but we were able to order them the way we wanted and did not have to settle for something that we "sort of" liked. All the negative reviews show exactly how you are going to be treated when you do business with this outfit. I wish I had read them beforehand. They'll tell you what you want to hear but never but follow up on any commitments. The entire management chain is completely useless starting with the Ocala Sales Manager, Bill. Once they have your money you will never get it back, no matter what the reason. This is a poorly run business and should be avoided! If they had any motivation to improve they should have long ago. Based on the other reviews it seems this kind behavior has been has been tolerated for quit some time. My delivery experience with Hudson's Furniture, Ocala, FL, was an absolute nightmare. Their delivery team is a wrecking crew. I paid $179.99 to have one small sofa delivered. They drove a huge tractor-trailer onto my property, carelessly drove off the driveway and crashed into a 40-foot tree. Their truck remained trapped under my tree for over two hours. They tore up my yard, damaged my tree, and just created chaos. I reported this on the company website, and to the Hudson's Furniture store directly. I have yet to receive any appropriate response from Hudson's. In addition, they turned my personal information over to the driver, who is a contractor and not an employee, and now I have to deal with this. Intimidation? I am extremely upset by the treatment I have received from Hudson's Furniture. If you need an alternative, in and around The Villages, try Blocker's Furniture just across the street in Ocala. read more

Never again. We purchased two queen foundations at the Ocala, FL, location. We were told they were out-of-stock and we would be called when they were available. Two weeks passed and we called the store to check. We were told they had actually been available, but a mistake was made and we were never contacted for delivery. When the foundations were delivered, both were damaged with torn fabric (all the way to the wood) on multiple corners. We were told replacements were out-of-stock and we would need to wait for a call. Two weeks passed and we called customer service to check on the replacements. Similar to before, we were told a mistake was made and we were never contacted for delivery. In the end, it took another two re-deliveries before we wound up with queen foundations that are acceptable. But even those seem to be more poorly made than the original, damaged units. Both creak and feel less supportive. Between poor quality of the queen foundations and the lack of organization in their offices, this is the first and last time we'll shop with Hudson's Furniture. read more

Ordered a dining room set that was custom built and bought the extra warranty for well over $2500. I called Hudson to notify them the chair is coming apart not even 3 months later and was notified a 3rd party would have to inspect it ( furnature solution). After taking off work and getting stood up from the technician I called Hudson customer support to ask for a manager and was told I would receive a call within 24/48 hr later ( it's 72 hr later ) and no one has called. I called the store for the 3rd time and was advised an email was going to be sent to all managers to escalate the issue and would get a call by the end of the day. It is now 24 hours later and still have not heard from the store. Tomorrow I will go to the store and get the information about the manufacturing company and go down that route. It's rediculious you pay a lot of money and buy the extended warranty and can't even get the first year factory warranty covered and addressed. We were guaranteed no hassle replacement on defects but this company keeps avoiding the problem and again I have to now stop what I'm doing and waste more time dealing with something that the manufacturing warranty should cover but Hudson refuses to be responsible. read more

If I could give a lower rating, I would. We bought a kitchen table, chairs and bench in August of 2022. As of March, 2023, we only have 4 chairs. 3 tables were delivered damaged, two benches were damaged and now the bench "will come soon" for months. Get the run around from our sales person, customer service bounces us back to the store, the store manager does not return phone calls. Worst experience of my life. After waiting for a couple of months, the last part of a large order was to be delivered this afternoon. We were given a window of between 12:30 and 3:30 pm. We have been home all day just in case. About 12:53 we got a call saying the driver couldn't find our house and would have to reschedule. My wife got ahold of the drive about 7 minutes later and he essentially said tough luck; we'd have to reschedule. We called customer service and got the run around, including from an Anthony who tried to tell us they came to the house but we were not home! Complete lie!!! One person, Heather, called us back and told us to call the driver and see if he'd deliver it!!! Check the replies from the "owners" to the many complaints. Puts the burden on the customer to send an email to the "regional" manager. Why not follow up directly with the customer? Why so many negative reviews? BUYER BEWARE... We purchased a new couch for $3,500.00 and it has a defect where the factory tag was attached by a tagging gun. The tag with literature was shot through the leather. The leather is marred (on top of the couch) and there are two small holes with discoloration. This was not noticed upon initial delivery because the tag was covering the area, but a few minutes after the truck had left. Pictures were taken and sent to the sales person immediately after being found. Our Ocala salesperson has tried to help to get a replacement couch, no response from Hudson management. I received a call from a Hudson tech who wants to come and repair the area, we didn't pay $3,500 for a repaired couch. I was hoping for zero stars, but will take the 1 star rating. Ok, bought about 26,000 bucks worth of everything for a new apartments. Then it all fell apart on the customer service side. First, the bed was NOT assembled correctly and came apart within 5 days. Called repair and they actually sent out 2 guys with a wrench who assembled the bed correctly this time. Ok, disappointing, but understandable right? Wrong. This was just the start of something that gets worse. Last month, yes 5 weeks ago, a power recliner stopped working and would not lower the leg rest. Called again and they said it would be 4 weeks, which was last week. They called the night before and said it would be another 14 days as they did not have the correct leather dye to match the couch. ????????? nothing wrong with the leather but the electronics are broken. Called Hudson's Ocala 3 times and finally talked to a human who said she would assign a different repair technician. They never did or at least no one called me back to complete the repair request. So, all in all I spent 26,000 dollars for furniture that does not work, and have a company 5 year repair/replace policy that is worthless obviously. Save your money and shop around first. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Hard pass on this company, spend your money elsewhere! Furniture damaged and customer service couldn't care less (yes, I paid for the warranty and extra services too). I have been on approximately a dozen calls with them for over a month with constant "passing the buck" behavior, no accountability and no return calls that were promised. This is in dispute with my credit card company. I have a brand new piece of furniture, half of it is stuck in the relined position in the middle of the room and the electronics do not work. The piece has been damaged from the moment it arrived in my home and I have been dealing with this for over a month now with no result. Delivery dates of a replacement piece have been moved out three times. This is unprofessional and completely ridiculous for a company to work in this manner.... I do not recommend spending a dime here. If this gets addressed I will update my review, however, I am not holding my breath. read more

Purchased a massage chair. I was told it would be in soon and would be able to be delivered around our moving date. I contacted Hudson's just prior to the date we had set up to have delivered (sales associate said she would schedule it for that delivery date once in warehouse). I was told it was not in warehouse so could not be delivered and should be in warehouse "soon". It has now been 6 weeks since purchase. I called the location to ask about the order and was rudely told "it is not in warehouse so we cannot deliver something we don't have." I stated that I would like my money back so I can purchase from a location that has a chair. I was told I could not get my money back because I "signed a contract". I would not do business here again in the future. Customers certainly do not deserve unwarranted rude treatment and sales staff should be more transparent about inventory issues and their "contract" that doesn't allow refunds of products not even in stock. read more

We moved from Wisconsin to Ocala in September of 2020 and went to every furniture store within a 50 mile radius , and decided on Hudson's. Sharon, our salesperson was very friendly and helpful. She told us right up front that our living room furniture would not be in until the end of November or early December. She explained that "the factory in Tenn. had been shut down, but was now opened and they were running to catch up on back orders. That's why the delay. We were fine with time frame, since we were happy it was American made. November/December turned to February/ March, then April we got part of our order. I was in contact with the store every other week trying to get some one with some answers as to why it was taking so long. Never heard from our sales person until June. As far as Jessica, the store manager she was never in or was to busy, every time I went into the store, which was 6 different times. She never returned any of my calls. Finally got the coffee table delivered and it stated on the bottom, Made in Vietnam. I called customer service and was informed that they had factories all over the world. When I told them that I was told it was made in Tennessee her comment was " We don't promise that." The last straw was on June 8th 2021 I went in to the store to buy my end tables again... The sales person looked it and then said " You are in luck there are 2 of them coming in on June 22nd I can reserve them for you". When I told him I am already waiting for some he became very rude. Bottom line is they have no idea when my tables will come in. I canceled the order and was informed that I could not return the coffee table. This store is horrible! I will tell everyone I can about the poor or not all customer service. They don't care.. read more

OH HOW I WISH I HAD READ THE YELP REVIEWS OF HUDSON'S FURNITURE OF OCALA BEFORE I EVER SET FOOT IN THEIR STORE!!! They sold me a recliner that I was told would lock in a reclining position, told me Best Mfg. was building and delivering custom covered chairs ( even during the pandemic) in 28 days. On January 31 21 I ordered the recliner, paid $1,373. They were all smiles, I left the store happy. 7 WEEKS LATER THE TRIP TO HELL BEGAN. They never contacted me to tell me the chair had been delayed, I had to call them. The day it was delivered I fully reclined in it. It didn't lock in place, the back bounced back up when I leaned forward just the slightest. I thought it was broken on the day it was delivered! I called the store. they told me to call Customer Care, was told they couldn't come out for 13 days to repair a brand new, non-functioning chair. I finally got repair out and was told there was nothing wrong with it. It was a model that was NOT designed to lock in reclining position. I HAVE BACK PROBLEMS, I paid for a recliner that I was told locked in recline but I was delivered a chair that didn't! To be fair they did offer to order me another chair but why would I be fool enough to want to keep dealing with this business and have to wait 8 -12 weeks to get who-knows-what? I began trying to get a refund. Calls to the store and to Jessica weren't returned for weeks, then she would call and promise a refund was coming, then NOTHING. Before buying from this Ocala store (or any Hudson Furniture store), please read all of the other Yelp reviews as well as read the Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating (D- as of 1/17/23) and related reviews. There are lots of complaints against this company (both on Yelp and on BBB). Buyer beware if you choose to do business with them. Personally I would advise that you avoid buying anything heavy or bulky that is to be delivered to anywhere on an upper floor. Hudson's in Ocala does not have a delivery crew, rather they contract out deliveries to another company. And that delivery company has lots of rules against moving items to any upper floor. In our experience, the delivery crew looked at our two stairways to our 2nd floor and decided they would not be able to get the bedroom furniture up either of the stairways and thus they did not even the unload from the truck nor did they even try. Subsequently we purchased another bedroom set from another furniture company and they had no problems getting the bulky heavy bedroom furniture delivered to our 2nd floor bedroom. It also took us more than a month and a lot of negotiating with both the Ocala store and their corporate office to even get a refund of our money for the furniture they refused to deliver. There are a lot of other furniture stores in Florida that have better ratings from the BBB. Other furniture stores are able and happy to treat their customers better than does Hudson. Would not recommend this furniture store Yesterday a leather recliner was delivered. I had purchased it on Monday and it was sent from the warehouse. After it was set up and I sat in it, the chair was so different from the one I tried at the store. The seat was smaller, the electric controls were not working right and after sitting in the chair I almost toppled over as the chair was tippy. I called the store the next day and the sales person told me Hudson Furniture has a no return policy, but I saw no mention of this on my sale receipt. The sales person said only the manager, Jessica, can approve a return however the manager will not return my calls. I am 82 years old, have hurt my leg badly and needed a power recliner to help me get out of chair.. The recliner cost $1069.00 and I am so distressed that no one will return my calls. read more

Charles Diamond was the designer we met and we knew right away he was a great fit. Charles, and Jessica DeVaney (Store Mgr.) took the time to work with us to understand our style, our needs and budget. Charles even went with us to the design studio to help us select the cabinets, colors and flooring that would complement our new home. There was no pressure, and Charles and Jessica wanted to make sure we were happy with our purchases. My wife and I could not ask for a better experience. Be very careful of Hudsons Furniture's Service Plan through Furniture Care Protection! These folks only have one answer! 4-6 weeks. That's all they know what to say when a simple claim is filed and one part needs to be ordered. Hudsons and Furniture Care Protection would rather give you this answer versus researching to find out what the problem is. Went in there planning on spending $1500, ended up spending $7300. Was told it would be 1 week before they delivered part of our order and the rest would be there in 3 months. Had to go pick up our first 2 chairs unless we wanted to wait 3 weeks. Then 6 months later still did not have the rest of our stuff. Every time I called and asked to speak with the manager was told she wasn't in and would call me back. Finally got our sofa and rocking chair in November 8 months after we ordered and was told the rest of the order would be in by December 8th. Called again on December 15th still no tables, was then told February sometime. Feb 4th went into the store and was told May they should be there. Told them that I wanted a refund to which I was told to call their customer service number who told me they couldn't issue refunds I had to speak with store manager. So after almost a year we finally got the money back for the tables only so now we have 5 chairs that matched the tables we were supposed to get but never did. They are still selling the same tables in the store even though they can't get them in. Worst customer service ever and they should fire the manager as she has the worst people skills I have ever had to deal with. read more

We worked with Kiah Manning and he took his time with us and explained everything about the furniture we were looking for. We bought a new Tempur-Ergo bed and I asked if pillows came as a free perk like all other mattress places. I was told No. Kinda disappointed in that. We've had two other Tempur-pedic and always got free pillows. I changed my mind on a bedroom suit 3 times but he never got upset with me and took extra time looking for what I wanted in catalogs.
