If you acquire any furniture from Hudson's, strongly recommend you DO NOT buy the warranty. Hudson's contracts out the warranty to a third party - "Furniture Care Protection" and they have about the worst warranty service one can get. A piece of our purchase failed in under 5 years (a problem in itself) and Hudson's takes no responsibility. Furniture Care Protection has ordered parts and shipped to the wrong address, only to discover the part was not the cause of the failure. 2-16 weeks - yes, two to SIXTEEN weeks to get the next part. Furniture Care Protection is a scam. Hudson's uses that scam company to eliminate their warranty responsibility. Be careful - DON'T buy the warranty, and think twice about Hudson's as they take zero responsibility for their products once it is at your home. read more

He pushed that more than the mattress to the point to where I got annoyed. I'm not in the market for a mattress warranty but for a good quality mattress that shouldn't need additional warranty. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE- TOOK ONE YEAR TO GET! We picked out 4 pieces to a black colored leather sectional January 2023 but were told it had to be custom made and would take 12-14 weeks to receive. We signed and paid the entire $4500 at the time of the order, not a cheap couch at all! Then we waited. And waited. And waited. We received minimal communication regarding the order status other than it is still being made and no additional delivery updates could be determined until they received it. What a terrible supply chain process! Finally mid JULY 2023, we received delivery but 2 of the 4 pieces were incorrectly ordered by them (the order invoice reflected correctly) and they were not automatic recliners as ordered. We dealt with the incorrect pieces until the 2 could be remade and delivered. Waiting again. And waited. Mid DECEMBER 2023, the replacement pieces finally came in but now upon delivery again, the 2 new pieces DID NOT LINE UP with the original 2 pieces due to differences in manufacturing batches. I went in to speak to a manager about what compensation they could offer for this headache of a terrible product sold to us! They offered only a $150 Hudson gift certificate - that is a 3% compensation (like I want to purchase anymore items from them!) and a service call for them to inspect the differences, which they came out wasting more of my time and said there was nothing they could do as that is how they were manufactured. Don't waste your time unless you have a year to wait and want to be DISRESPECTED thinking you are getting a quality product! The leather on what we thought was our beautiful, well-made easy chair is peeling off and now looks horrible. Interestingly, this is happening on areas of the chair that are not used (eg, under the arms of the chair, on the back), so this is not an "overuse" or stress issue. The chair is less than 5 years old. The same thing is happening to two smaller leather chairs that we purchased from Hudson's. But what angers me is that the company has refused to respond to my inquiries/-initially phone calls, then text message, then letters, and, finally, certified letters. Not a peep!! I went to just about every furniture store in a 10 miles radius in search of a nice black leather rocker-recliner to replace a decades-old one (a time when great high quality, long-lasting furniture was made - more on this later). Christina G. provided a warm greeting immediately upon entering the store and began to show me around at all of the options they had available to satisfy my requirements. Christina was great to work with. After about 30-45 mins of internal debates with myself, I settled on a SAFE BET SOCOZI POWER RECLINING IN VALENTINO BLACK LEATHER 912-13 WITH BLACK STITCHING. Essentially a custom-ordered leather recliner because of the black leather that I knew I wanted. I knew it would take a couple of months and Christina advised me that she would provide regular check-ins via email to keep me updated on the build process and delivery dates. Fast forward several weeks and I received an email from another rep who advised me that Christina was no longer working there but that she would be keeping me up to date. I eventually got my delivery date in May (Ordered in March) and the delivery team was great. The rocker recliner was everything I had expected and more. I was able to take many great naps on it for about 5 months, which is when the power controller decided to stop working altogether. What's worse is that the recliner was now stuck in the full recline position, essentially rendering it non-functioning. It was at this point that I was sure of two things: 1) I missed my decades-old recliner, and 2) I was glad I got the extended service plan. I proceed to contact the store on a Tuesday (Oct 4th) and was told that someone from the service company would be contacting me to schedule an appointment within two days. Two days came and went. I proceeded to contact the store again and left a voice message as it was just a few minutes after 5 pm. Friday came and went with no return call or call from the service company. I proceeded to contact them back on Monday (Oct 10th). I went through the same process and again I was told that I would be hearing back from the service company only this time it would be "much sooner". Sure enough the next day I did receive a call from the service company who advised me that they literally just received the request that morning and that the soonest they could come out would be on Oct 20. I expressed my dissatisfaction with having to wait that much longer and she advised that she would contact the store to see about getting someone out to me sooner. I also contacted the store myself, which I later discovered is really just a customer service call center - not the actual brick-and-mortar location. This time I was told that they were going to work on getting someone out to me this week and asked if that would be OK with me. Of course, I said Yes, and asked if she would be calling me back to confirm and she advised me that she would in fact be calling me back. It's been three days now and still no phone call back. Later that evening (Tuesday, Oct 11th) I proceeded to send an email to the sales rep that took over for Christina, and I CC'd the CEO and a few other top executives of Hudsons Furniture. Late the next day, I received a response from the sales assoc advising that she was extremely sorry to hear of my experience and that she had forwarded my concern to her general manager as well as the customer care manager. The next day I received an email from the service company asking me to choose a time for the repair on Oct 27th, two full weeks out and actually WORSE than what I was told the first time. This is still not resolved at the time of this review. What's worse is that I know firsthand what great service is from a furniture store, as I also had an issue with a sectional power recliner that was purchased from another company and was fixed within 3 days of reporting the issue. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. BUYER BEWARE - you will get great service in the store. You will get LOUSY service if you need anything whatsoever post-sale/delivery. They will just tell you whatever you want to hear to get you off the phone. I decided instead of just going to a bunch more stores I would call around. I called Hudson's and was put in contact with Rocco. Rocco worked with me to find us exactly what we wanted and we are so excited to receive our new bedroom set from Hudson's soon. Rocco was great to work. Really bad experience. Furniture 3 months late after being told in January it's in the warehouse 2/15. Then it's not and if we pick from the 4 fabrics readily available it's 3/5, changed to 3/15, 4/5, the salesperson Rachel was of no help. I wanted free delivery and set up after being disappointed time and again. She agrees in writing to the free delivery/set up...well they can't even get that right. They dump it in my kids apartment and leave. Oh and they can't seem to get the simplest instructions correct. I gave specific direction regarding which phone number to call. The Memorial Day Sale prices were 50% off of greatly overinflated prices. We looked at a relatively simple manual recline sofa and loveseat in fabric, not leather, and 50% off price was $4500. I do not believe the normal price was $9000 and quality was certainly not worth that. I bought elsewhere based solely on the dishonest pricing. Not sure if I'd go back and can't recommend a place that does this type of advertising. Seems they assume customers are just stupid. read more

Mary Claire at the Pinellas Park Hudson's Furniture is such a professional and pleasant designer/sales representative. I had an opportunity to work with her while refurnishing a good deal of my home. I never felt pressured or persuaded. She has a very good eye for design. She understood the look I was going for and helped me make it happen. She also went above and beyond o work with my schedule and m need for vegan materials (no leather or down). Very knowledgeable and a sweet and easy going person. Also of note, one of the pieces was broken when it came but I didn't realize until a few weeks later. Hudson's Customer Care Advisor Ashley was prompt in her responses, sent out a new piece to replace the broken one, and offered to send a tech to repair it for me. I was so impressed. read more

Even though he know I wasn't buying right away, he helped me with dimensions and showed me options that he knew Mom would like. When I mentioned the day I was coming in, he took time to contact me and be there to help. I got there before him and one of his associates offered to help as she said they work as a team and look out for one another (loved that!) After Hudsons replaced the broken section, evidently they did not let their Furniture protection people know the parts were no longer required. 2 days ago I received an email from UPS saying they were delivering something from Hudson's. I called Hudsons customer service and was advised that was an error that nothing would be delivered. Today I received a Box from Hudsons. I called customer service again. They have no clue what is going on, tried to blame their Furniture protection people. Very difficult to get your money back. Don't let them take over 60 days to get your goods delivered because after 60 days, one cannot dispute the transaction with one's credit card company. Delay, delay, delay is their end game. I bought some furniture , paid in full for it, later found out it was discontinued, and now they tell me it will take 2-3 months to get my money back. I think not. They had awesome Google reviews-- but wish I had checked with the Better Business Bureau. They had a B- which is basically giving them an F ! Cause the BBB gives almost everyone an A ... So is a B- is a big deal. My advice-- don't wait too long to dispute the transaction with your credit card company because you only have 60 days to dispute. read more

What a terrible experience. One that appears to have no ending! We were originally told 4 to 6 weeks for delivery of our furniture (three rooms in total), but "most likely closer to three weeks". The bedroom was "in stock" and delivered, but once delivered, they realized the hardware for the bed wasn't included and it would take another two weeks to order! For the balance of our furniture, we are now on week 11 with every delivery date they give us getting extended over and over again. We have NO idea how much longer it will take, nor do we trust any future delivery date they provide. The salesperson/company never takes any responsibility, yet continually blames everyone else for their failures. Just be honest, rather than leading us on for so long! I had a challenge for whoever was going to help my 91 year old uncle. We visited a number of furniture stores, and Hudson's provided the best combination of product and service (and it wasn't even close). My uncle lived in a double wide that was overcome with mold. Six months later, with the old joint demo'd, a new home sits in on his home pad. He was able to save a few things, but needed a bedroom set and pieces for the living room. My uncle does not make decisions quickly, so a lot of patience was called for. Enter Penny. As we walked the showroom, she gave us the space for my uncle to look and try things without feeling pressured. As he identified pieces that were of interest, Penny was able to step in and help without bringing any pressure (it would have killed the deal). He found a bedroom set that he liked, and several other pieces, although he felt that the price was exorbitant. The next day we visited several other stores, and he wanted to make a beeline back to Penny and Hudson's. Following the sale, she did a great job of staying in touch via text (my preference) and made herself available to be on hand for the delivery. Great service, and more important, she had a wonderful knack of making him comfortable during an uncomfortable shopping trip. read more

I had an unpleasant experience with Hudson's Pinellas Park. My sales clerk was Alyse and she absolutely has no follow through and poor customer service. I spent several thousand dollars with Alyse in June and was told my purchases would be available in 4-6 weeks. Well here we are in September and there are 2 items which are fully paid for and I have not yet received. I'm being informed the 2 items were special order. I was not informed of this at the time of purchase and would not have purchased either item. Hudson't has been paid in full for months and I'm being told I can not cancel the 2 items that I still don't have, however they have all my money. No thanks I won't be shopping with them again. It is simply terrible that we still have no furniture and ordered and paid in full in cash on July 12, 2015. We repeatedly call the store (Pinellas) and have gotten told different stories. Even called the manufacturer who stated that they had not received the order yet. Please, PLEASE, is there ANYONE at HUDSON's FURNITURE COMPANY who can help? IF you cannot get us the items we ordered, please refund our $$ so that we can shop elsewhere. The good news is that Broyhill Furniture is very responsive. They shipped me the missing part promptly and then I had to contact (again) the store to arrange for the part to be installed. I had a similar experience to the other on here regarding ordering the furniture, paying for it and then weeks later being told a few of the pieces I ordered were discontinued. Now it is almost 2 years later and the bed I purchased broke. When purchasing the furniture they advised that I should purchase the insurance to go with it especially since purchasing a white sofa. I was told if anything happened it would be replaced. My bed broke on March 7, which was a Saturday and started calling Monday. First it is almost impossible to get anyone to answer the phone at Hudsons customer service. Then I was referred to Uniters, which is the insurance I purchased. Everytime i called I was number 15 or more in line to speak to someone. I followed all the direction they gave me regarding uploading receipt and pictures. I was told I would be contacted in a few days by a service company to repair the bed. I heard nothing for a week and contacted them again. Then an appointment was set. The repair company called and cancelled as their only repair person had a personal emergency and would call back to re-schedule. No call so I reached out to them and was told it would be 2 weeks until someone could get there. That would mean 1 month with no bed to sleep in. I called Hudsons as they should stand behind what they sell, including the insurance. I spoke to one of the store managers and she emailed customer service, The reply from customer service was "I cannot help you." When I told them that was an unacceptable answer she dismissed me by saying she had no authority in the scheduling of the repairs. All I asked was for someone to get involved and make a phone call. I received no help at all. It seems once Hudsons gets your money they could care less about you. They sold me a bec that turned out to be defective. Sold me an insurance policy where no one wants to help you. Then tell you that it is your responsibilty to take care of it and do not stand behind anything they sell. My advice is NEVER purchase anything from Hudsons!!! BTW I would have given less than one star if I could. read more

Dollar for dollar Hudson's had the best VALUE proposition -- quality, price, and service. My design specialist/salesperson Penny was the BEST. (She was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. - She also has an awesome British accent too !!!). Our design and sales executive, Jeanne Bessler, was absolutely fantastic during the process of buying our living room furniture and rug. Not only did she have patience while my husband and I moved cushions, thumbed through books and walls of fabric samples, and even had the underside of the floor displays shown to us, but she was extremely knowledgeable about the various pieces. We also did our research online and returned to the store to buy Flex Steel living room pieces (which averages 5 star reviews - and we agree!). Jeanne also kept us up to date about our delivery process - until the contracted date passed. After that, we had to do the calling to find out the status of our furniture. We knew that Flex Steel took weeks to make, and that by customizing the fabrics, it would take that much longer. But not almost four months! Our invoice dated January 27, 2017 state that the furniture was "to arrive after" April 16, 0217 (10 weeks). I suppose that is, in fact, a true claim, but we were going off of the verbal statement that the invoice date was the worse case scenario. After making numerous phone calls after that April 16th date, we finally learned that the furniture was sitting in a warehouse in Texas waiting for the truck to be filled before shipping it out to us in Florida. Jeanne was super apologetic about the delivery "delay" at first, but then it felt as if she knew all along that 10 weeks was NOT the "norm" for Flex Steel. We finally received our living room set on May 3rd (13+ weeks). My husband and I just wished we were told that it would take at leas three to four months to get our furniture. If it came in earlier, then it would have been a pleasant surprise. And referring back to the wording on the invoice, "to arrive after", I believe it is Hudson's policy to cover their bases instead of being forthright with the L-O-N-G delivery time frame of Flex Steel. Bottom line... this review could have been 5 stars had the delivery time frame been presented to us with more accuracy. With that said, go visit Jeanne... but ask for an ACCURATE delivery date. read more

I ordered a sectional from Hudson's and it was delivered before Thanksgiving. Hudsons delivered 2 different color pieces of furniture and has tried to deliver 2 different replacement pieces that are also a different color than the piece I have and the display model that was in the store. After over a month and having taken three days off of work for delivery of incorrect furniture I was offered store credit to pick out a new piece of furniture. I went to the store today and the only thing I wanted was the furniture I already have. I ordered it in a different color hoping that Hudson's can get me a matching sectional and was charged an additional $200 to get the exact same piece of furniture I already have in a different color. My sales rep tried to have the manager waive the additional charge and he declined and didn't even come by to see if there was an issue. I was also told that the extended warranty I had purchased on the first sectional likely will not transfer to the new furniture. This store treats customers horribly and I am actively telling everyone I know how horrible this experience has been. read more

I'm extremely happy with my purchase from Hudson's furniture. I bought a large dining table and 10 chairs. I got a fantastic price at their Black Friday sale. I was disappointed that my purchase didn't come in time for my family Christmas dinner but knew that was possible. It was delivered the other day. The delivery gentlemen were polite, organized, called 15 minutes prior to their arrival which was almost a full hour earlier than my scheduled time. That was an unexpected surprise. But I was home and ready for them so it was a pleasant one. My only complaint was that the hardware for the table was not included in the delivery. This is really unacceptable and should've been checked at any number of stops along the way before arriving to my home. So whether it was a manufacturing issue or delivery issue is of no consequence someone probably should have checked somewhere along the way that the table could be assembled on site. I am still giving five stars because my salesperson, Rachel was wonderful, delivery was easy to schedule and on time and the driver had a huge toolbox filled with nuts and bolts of all kinds and thanks to him the table was able to be assembled with leftover pieces he has kept from other installations, and it looks beautiful! He saved the day and what could've been frustrating wasn't. He is a valuable employee, a real keeper! Oh and as a side note I found the table and chairs online at several places and all were higher priced (some double and triple) than shopping local!! So I saved money and supported a local team. read more

Needless to say, took much, much longer than that. When items did arrive I was contacted and asked when I wanted the delivery. It just so happen I was off work that week so I told the person, either today or tomorrow. She told me that it would be several days for delivery. Each time Glenn was polite and professional as he answered all of our questions. Before we purchased the furniture Glenn and Denise came and measured the condo to assure that the furniture would fit and allow for the desired traffic pattern. Once the furniture was ordered, the items that were in stock where scheduled for delivery. We also received a delivery date for the furniture that wasn't in stock. Our deliveries occurred on the date scheduled and at the time they were expected to arrive. Glenn kept in contact with us from beginning to end so that we knew the status of the order. This would have been our forth delivery from Hudson's. I purchased a Bali kitchen set weeks back with custom upholstery and was informed that it was in store ready for delivery on Friday 6/9. HOWEVER, we were told "in lieu of our delivery trucks "zig-zigging" all over the county..we need you (the woman housewife) to be available ALL DAY on Friday 6/16. Really, zig -zaging is not my problem... Plus no window of delivery time was ever given in advance....until late in the morning of the scheduled 6/16...it ended up being later than quoted.....4:30 in the afternoon!, SOOO BASED ON THE HUDSON'S NEEDING MY ENTIRE DAY.... DOCTOR APPTS FOR MY MENTALLY DISABLED SON HAD TO RE SCHEDULED.. which of course gets him off schedule. Shame on everyone! Our time is valuable, we are spending lost of money and expect professional service from HUDSONS! Well, don't bother "zig-zagging" to our home - you ungrateful, lazy company. I have had a poor experience with this store. I bought a leather loveseat with a console. After the warranty expired the console wouldn't open. I noticed that the plastic box in the console was broken. I paid for a new one. I was sent the wrong console and had to make several calls to get the correct console. The console still won't open and close correctly. I called hudsons twice over the past year and did not have my calls returned. I had a mechanically inclined friend work on it who thinks the hinges are defective. I called Hudsons a third time and I am basically on my own other than being referred to a furniture repair company. I do not want to keep throwing money at this problem. I would not shop at Hudsons again as I expect a leather couch to function longer than two years without me throwing money at it trying to solve problems. read more

Beware Hudson's Furniture Extended Warranty Option..! Waste of money.... We purchased an entire home worth of furniture and decorator items three years ago, along with their extended warranty. We were very happy with our designer and with our purchases... until recently when we made a claim on a single item that is part of a three piece desk set. (This desk set represents about 5% of our total purchase.) What we thought would be a simple process has now involved several weeks of interacting with Hudson's personnel, insurance company personnel... visiting the store, talking with managers, playing phone tag, etc, etc. This has left us with a very negative impression of Hudson's customer support and commitment. The outcome of all of this effort is that they will essentially give us the insurance payment back for the desk and we keep the damaged furniture... or.... we give them back the three piece set and have enough insurance benefit to purchase about 50% of the three piece set... so essentially, Hudson's wants us to pay more just to get back to what we originally had. The bottom line: The extended warranty offering is a total waste of money and Hudson's is not willing to make the effort to support their customer...! read more
