I love my new GE PROFILE Refrigerator. Famous Tate in Largo exceeded all expectations. It was a fantastic and delightful sales experience. Steve is a true appliance professional with many years experience. His breath of knowledge greatly assisted in our selection and purchase of a new GE Profile Refrigerator. Additionally, he was so professional and friendly interacting with us as thought he had known us for years. As we completed the sale, Steve also registered the warranty for us and set up delivery. Delivery was absolutely perfect, on-time, and pristine---It was the best delivery experience I have ever had. Famous Tate has their own warehouses and delivery personnel---They set up and tested the refrigerator, removed all the "blue protective film", and did a great clean up before departure. The value was superior beating even the best price of some of the "other Home/Hardware type big box store's prices". Service and quality is a top focus at Famous Tate--making sure you have a least 30 days to test out your appliance. Although my new GE refrigerator ran perfectly from the the very start, Famous Tate assured me if there had been a problem, Famous Tate would step in to help get it resolved with the manufacturer. Famous Tate really cares about customer service and customer satisfaction. I will absolutely continue to buy all my future appliances from Famous Tate. THANK YOU FAMOUS TATE!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!! read more

It gets busy here on the weekends, so be prepared. They have pretty much anything you could want on display. A few floor models are available, but most things will have to be ordered. They offer friendly first impression. However, the follow up and service after the sale is not congruent. The first set of appliance were delivered by a tam that left the tape on, styrofoam in, poor experience overall. Teh second purchase, the deliver company "Premier Installation" provided a different level of service. They would get 10 stars from me. However, Famous Tate ordered an incorrect piece for the oven. Even though they had the appliances for well over a month, no one bothered to confirm that all the correct pieces were there. We have an oven without proper ventilation due to their mistake, it is still unusable and even though I have made several calls, no one has reached back out. It has been weeks now, not days. I have spoken with managers and sales people add left messages more than once. Crickets. This is the reason for the one star rating. read more

My new dishwasher arrived in store shortly after I paid over the phone to guarantee that I'd get one before they were quickly sold. Patrick arranged for installation with a contractor Tate's uses and everything went well. The contractor called to make the installation appointment and showed up on time. The installers were obviously professional and knowledgeable and installed my new dishwasher in just under 1/2 hr. That included installing an electric socket ($85 surcharge that I agreed to when making the appointment), testing, and cleanup. read more

We had been looking all over for just the right fridge for our kitchen remodel- Famous Tate had a beautiful GE model on the floor at a better price than even the big box store remodel: construction places! Great service, the sales guy, the delivery guys all top notch- Highly recommend!! read more

Brandon did a great job getting me the info that I needed. The prices were way better than box stores and they can deliver the appliances much quicker than other places! read more

Where to begin? 1) The appliances came in 5 deliveries and we still didn't get all the pieces we paid for. 2) I paid 6 months in advance to "assure I wouldn't have to pay price increases" but in the end, I did have to spend over $800 more than quoted. 3) My sales person said I'd be reimbursed but now he's ghosted me. 4) The high-end Thermador Range that we purchased was broken and the sales people kept telling me that is was because we installed it incorrectly. We had and electrician install it, then we hired appliance installers, and then we hired a master electrician. It still didn't work. Finally we had to hire a Thermador rep to come and fix it - it needed a replacement part. (argh!!!!!) DON'T EVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU'RE BETTER OF AT HOME DEPOT... AT LEASE YOUR EXPECTATIONS WILL BE MET. read more

Do not use their delivery service! Guys refused to remove Fridge Doors for delivery (which is standard, even Lowe's delivery does this!) and had my contractor bring it inside. They said this voids the warranty and refused to install. Absolutely useless. Will never purchase from them again. read more

Well, I know what they're famous for - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went in on a Monday to buy some water filters for our refrigerator. They were out, so Leticia says, "I should be able to get them from another store. I'll call you." She called on Friday and said she had finally found some and I could pick them up on Saturday afternoon. I went in on Monday evening. Oh, guess what? They weren't in and wouldn't be there till tomorrow. I just drove 20 miles round trip for nothing. The man who was helping me, was of the attitude that he could care less. No apology or commiseration, nothing. I know that it was only a $100 sales but the next time I redo my kitchen, you can be sure I won't be getting any of my appliances from those jerks. read more

Purchased a pedestal to go under a dryer also just Purchased. Delivery made while I was at work. Came home to find the pedestal looked like someone had stepped inside the drawer and put their weight in it leaving a black make and white stress marks through out. Sean, Manager in Largo insists it is a new pedestal and refused to replace it offering a 10% discount on what looks like a used product. If we wanted used, I would have purchased it elsewhere. read more

I used to buy all my appliances from Apsco. They did everything in-house. Famous Tate bought Apsco and I thought great, still a local appliance store. Let me tell you, Famous Tate is no Apsco. For a start, they don't do their own delivery and installation. It's farmed out to a third party company you've never heard of. Got a problem or need service? Famous Tate will happily give you the manufacturer's phone number to call. Unlike Apsco, Famous Tate has no service department. While Famous Tate does have knowledgeable full-time salespeople, other than that, it's no different than buying your appliances at a.home improvement or big box store. No in-house delivery or service.... just a sales department. So disappointing. read more

I purchased a dishwasher and when it arrived it was cosmetically damaged. The delivery team, a contract partner of Famous Tate, told me Famous Tate would replace the damaged part. I called Famous Tate after delivery and they indicated they would not take responsibility. The damage was noted on the delivery ticket. Luckily, the manufacturer, Bosch, has agreed to replace the damaged part. Be careful, Famous Tate does not stand up for products they sell even if delivered by their delivery partner. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

I'm sure beacause I was a single senior woman I was ignored for almost 30 minutes while shopping for a new washer and dryer. sales men walked by me eager to get to male customers. I was not greeted nor did any of the sale men acknowledge me when they stopped with customers next to me. because if that they list out on a sale of Maytag w/d for me a sale for whirlpool w/d for a friend rehabbing his place from hurricane who ended up going to Lowe's and also bought a complete upscale kitchen appliance set. I estimate they lost $10000 in sales due to their ignoring me. good job!!! read more

This store has lots of choices on the floor however they order your appliance knowing it will take multiple weeks to obtain the item.. if you can wait more than a month you can order.. the sales people should warn you ahead of the long wait.. the local hardware store won't place your order unless it's in stock which is the right way to treat your customers.. read more

This is the second time we've bought something from them and had another great experience. It started with Steve Klinger who listened to us and then guided us through their inventory. We needed a new dishwasher and refrigerator. He helped us through the differences between the different brands and made suggestions of what might be best for us. He was never pushy but was patient and factual with us. We made our selection with fair pricing and then for us was the critical timing of installation. For the dishwasher he was able to find a date that worked for us. The company they use is Exquisite Home Services for dishwashers. They were excellent! On time and very skilled in the installation. Flawless. The next week we had the refrigerator delivered and again it was flawless. They gave us a window for the delivery the day before and on the delivery day they texted when they would arrive. I believe these were Famous Tate's people who were also superb and did a fantastic installation! read more

We were searching for a dishwasher and garbage disposal. Thanks to our salesman, Sean S., we purchased a Whirlpool Dishwasher Model #WDT750SAKZ1 and a Moen 1HP disposal. It was installed by Kyle from Premier Installations and Logistics a few days later. I highly recommend Famous Tate for their products and great service. Sean went all out to help me get a great dishwasher that looks fabulous in our kitchen. My husband was so happy that the minute he got home from work, he loaded and ran the inaugural first load. . I also highly recommend Kyle at Premier. He did an excellent job and he was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about what he was doing. You can't go wrong with this duo. Famous Tate and Premier Installations. They will both make sure that you are pleased with your purchase. We certainly are. read more

Somehow, I didn't know about this company , but as I needed a new fridge, we decided to look for something other than Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy, and found Famous Tate. Went to the store and was very impressed. The store was nice, no sales reps harassed us, but they did touch base and made it clear that they were there if we needed help. We found Steve K. when we were ready and he was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful, and he made the purchase very easy. The prices seemed like the standard pricing for appliances, not like places like Conns where they overpriced their products. Fridge was delivered in 3 days. The gentlemen who installed the fridge were amazing as well. They were friendly and seemed to know exactly what they were doing and installed the fridge quickly. When we need future appliances, we will definitely be coming back to shop! read more

Failed to deliver their promise. Paid upfront for LG KITCHEN package. It has been almost 70 days, no word from the store, no estimate. This package was recommended by the store manager. Recently purchased a Zephyr 42 bottle wine cooler at the Clearwater store. From sales to delivery - and hauling my old broken wine cooler away - everything was first rate. This is is second appliance I've purchased from Famous Tate and the experience has been excellent each time. From the helpful and knowledgeable sales staff to their delivery crews, you can't go wrong. I live in a 2nd floor condo with no elevator. Their free delivery saves me money every time. And $20 to haul away the old appliance is a game changer! I'm remodeling my kitchen next year. You can bet I'll be purchasing my new appliances from Famous Tate. read more

We ordered an Electrulox washer and dryer combo from the Famous Tate in Largo, FL. When the delivery men arrived, they stated that they were not given the stacking kit and would not be able to install them. We called Famous Tate and Brandon, the manager, stated that they just ordered the stacking kit and they could not tell us when they would be delivered. They recommended we order the kit from Amazon and they would reimburse us. I asked Brandon why they don't just order from Amazon themselves since it was their mistake, and he stated that they do not have an Amazon account. I told him that I don't think that is acceptable and he said, "It's not like anyone died" and I said that that is such an inappropriate thing to say since my father passed away on April first." Horrible thing to say when he could have just apologized for their mistake and not try to just make excuses. I will NOT be shopping at Famous Tate ever in the future. read more

This would be the second appliance I have purchased from Famous Tate. You can't beat their family style customer service. They had a huge selection in the show room and we found what we wanted. The price and warranty are a good value as well. Highly recommend. Ask for Robert he was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. read more

The 4 was due to the problem we had with our GE Microwave which we've had for four years not really Famous Tate. The microwave stopped heating. Fortunately, for us, we had a warranty, Unfortunately, there was some confusion on the warranty. But everything worked out in the end. Bruce W. went above and beyond to stay in touch and push the process forward. We have a new and functioning microwave and are happy. read more

The sales people are good at taking orders but not delivering orders. I paid 25% down for new kitchen appliances in Sept 2024. This was supposed to ensure I wouldn't have to pay any price increases. Fast forward to March 202, I paid in full and tried to set up delivery. I was told that I had to take delivery by the end of the month (the next business day) or appliances would go into a new inventory system. I said "ok but I can only take delivery after noon". Of course, the delivery was scheduled for 9am- 12. I rescheduled the delivery for a week later (so they could get their act together). of 10 pieces, 4 were missing. The fridge did not come and I was told the range was backordered... with no estimated date. What?? Not only that, they charged me an additional $850 because the range and fridge had price increases. Lastly, they charged $150 for delivery of these appliances which was never disclosed AND they wouldn't take them off the crate. read more

This was my 1st time shopping at Famous Tate. They were very highly recommended by my sister in Brandon. Both my refrigerator and dishwasher needed to be replaced asap and I had the best experience and quickest delivery ever. Thank you Robert for working with me. Everything went so smoothly. I am so happy with my new appliances. The delivery crews were great and on time. Answered any questions I had. Highly recommend Famous Tate for all appliance shopping. read more

The prices are good. They were willing to price match the online sale of the manufacturer. Sales people are friendly and helpful. I wanted to purchase locally to support a local business. That being said, I purchased two appliances in the past 3 months. Famous Tate subs their installation out to 3rd parties currently, and both my installations had issues, and I was out of pocket to hire professionals to resolve the problems both times, as neither Famous Tate nor the installer could solve it. I called the first time, and they were happy to reimburse me for the cost. Which is great, but if I would prefer it just be done right the first time. 6-8 hours and multiple phone calls to Famous Tate, manufacturer, warranty company, Vent cleaner etc. And waiting around for the person to come do each step. To find out it was installed wrong. I haven't even bothered to try and get compensation the second time. I'm just too annoyed. Installation company is giving me a song and dance about the plumbing that my long-time plumber says "That's 100% not true." I should have just had the plumber do the installation - not Famous Tate. I would have been cheaper in the end. So, if they have a good price, I would purchase here again. But only pay for delivery and haul away unless they decide to bring delivery/installation in house and not sub it out. Because I feel like I could have bought these appliances anywhere and had the same experience at this point. It's not the Famous Tate of years ago. If they brought installation in house and took ownership to make sure it was done right, this could be a 5-start company every time. read more

The service is great as long as you are in the store. The selection was good but the sales people leave a little bit to be desired. Case in point, I recently purchased an induction range from Frigidaire that is also an air fryer range. The model on display has the air fryer rack and basket inside, so I assumed that the basket and rack were included but no it is an additional purchase that the sales person never mentioned!! I spoke to the store manager about the issue and told him that no matter what the customer thinks it is imperative the the sales person should go to the type of appliance the customer is purchasing and completely explain to the customer what does and does not come standard with the chosen appliance! But I have a hard time with the fact that it was an air fryer range and does not come with the rack and basket! The salesperson said that he was an experienced appliance salesperson and had been in the industry for a long time. Famous Tate you don't have my vote!! read more

On 4/9/24 my husband and I went to Famous Tate to buy a stove and microwave. We selected both totaling $1,105.76 and put down a $200 deposit. We were told that before the appliances could be delivered that we had to call Florida Premier Services and have them come to our house to evaluate what needed to be done electrically for hookup of the new appliances. FPS came on 4/16/24. They charged us $50, pulled out the bottom drawer of our oven and said we needed to hire an electrician to put in a plug for the microwave. FPS gave us an estimate of their future charges $35 - $375 to remove old and install new microwave with backsplash and $75 - $125 for a $220 outlet for stove. We then set a date to have the work done and the new appliances delivered. FPS called Famous Tate to confirm date.. Famous Tate then called me and said the stove and microwave were on back order and wouldn't be available until at least June. They had never volunteered this info when we purchased the appliances. I told them we could not do without a stove for 2 months. They did agree to refund our deposit. We went to Lowes that evening and purchased the same stove and microwave. Lowes was great charged us $50 for delivery and removal of old appliance. We had a private4 electrician install the appliances. Famous Tate never told us it would take them over 2 months to get the appliances. Florida Premier Services is a rip off. They charged us $50 to look at the stove and remove the bottom drawer and were going to charge us over $500 to deliver, install (not including the microwave plug by a private electrician) and remove the appliances read more

About a month ago, my nearly 60 year old wall oven died. I was forced to find a modern replacement. As anyone who has shopped for a wall oven will tell you, "They ain't cheap!" So, I checked online and with Home Depot, Lowe's and Sears. However, I have never walked into a Famous Tate to see what they had. This is a new location for them and it's in the same building that once housed APSCO Appliance on the north side of East Bay not too far west from US19. I was pleasantly greeted. I told the salesperson what I wanted and how much it was at the other retailers I had investigated. They met the lowest price! Sold! They recommended a local firm (Pinellas Installations) to install the oven and that would be a separate transaction. My cabinets needed a slight adjustment for the new oven and I was charged $150 which I thought was fair. Many of the retailers didn't offer a carpenter at all or the charges were exorbitant. It took about a month to get the oven (special order) and it was installed today! (see pic) I couldn't be more pleased. You should definitely check out Famous Tate. read more

We work with John up in Clearwater there on spot with our order we purchased all of our appliances with them high on my list

I originally went in to replace a stackable washer/dryer. My sales person, Rob, was very helpful making sure the new one would fit into the small closet. He guided me through all my choices and I ended up buying a full sized energy saving set that I never considered as I didn't realize it would fit. The delivery was timely. The only thing I didn't realize was the washer needed a 110 outlet which was not in the closet at the time as the older set fed off the dryer outlet since it was a combo. If I realized that I would have had one installed before delivery. The machine works fine. I would purchase from them again in the future as they included delivery, take away and hook up without additional charges. read more
