Ok, I'll give them 5 stars. First, they were packed. Of course, they just opened and we all want to support the new local businesses. That being said, the nice people behind the counter made the difference for me. Smiling, paying attention, acknowledging you, clearly engaged with their job. THIS MAKES A DIFFERENCE. The food was quick but obviously made to order, (thank you), and the fires were hot. My opinion on the salad was that it was just ok, not spectacular. The tenders on top were hot and fresh. My companion had the tenders with dipping sauce. She liked the honey mustard and garlic parmesan. She also liked the breading on the tenders. We like that the place had a patio, although August is not the time to sit outside, we will when it gets cooler. The furniture and decor is obviously made to be cleaned easily, but that also means it's a little less inviting. None the less, it was comfy for our first time there and we will check it out again! read more

This place is pretty spot on! I was introduced to this place by coworkers and I enjoyed the food! The tenders were big, juicy and hot! The homemade Huey sauce is bomb and very flavorful! I even tried the spicy version and I cannot decide on which one I prefer so I usually just get both. The fries have always been seasoned very well each time I've come and their salad is super fresh. I even recommend their house made ranch because it's tasty as well. 4 stars for receiving bad salad one time from DoorDash. They skimp on items if you get it delivered and I noticed it's better if you go in. Otherwise, I definitely recommend stopping by for a quick lunch or even a quick dinner! read more

Now that they're open, the staff is less and a lot of fooling around behind the counter not what it was when all the management people were in view when they first opened. Chicken tendies are really good. Sadly, the size of the chicken tendies and the portion of the fries given when you order have decreased significantly. The tendies are small, so small my 7 year old is still hungry after eating his meal. The fries, they give you like, no joke, 10 fries. The tendies used to be bigger and they would load you up on fries, but my last 2 visits have been disappointing. Noticed that this spot recently opened so I wanted to check them out for lunch. They were super busy, as I thought they would be but service was quick. Just picked up a 5 piece meal. First bite, (french fry dipped in magoo sauce), my mouth was burning from the incredible amount of salt I tasted. It did not let up the whole meal. My husband tasted the sauce, first bite, and had the same reaction: WOW, SALT. Did someone spill the salt shaker when making the sauce today? When you're eating very salty chicken fingers and fries and then the sauce is overpoweringly salty it's too much. My mouth is still burning, not from spice but from salt. It would have helped if the cole slaw I ordered had been included in my bag. But no, it was left out. Checked the receipt, it says "cole slaw". I also ordered 2 extra sauces in addition to the one that comes with the meal so I should have had 3 sauces, I think? Maybe I'm mistaken on that. But I got home with 2. Now, no worries because again, the sauce was SO SALTY that I couldn't have eaten them. This was my first visit to a Huey Magoo's so I have nothing to compare it to.
