When you're from Memphis, Huey's is always a great idea! You can't miss. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Staff is always friendly. This location specifically and my sweet potato fries always come out hot! No one likes cold fries so come on down to this location and tell us what's your favorite Huey's burger? We met some friends last night at Huey's. We had no idea they have live music! Duane Cleveland and band were playing, and they were quite enjoyable. We were sitting at the first table in front of the stage, and the acoustics were such that even with our close proximity to the band, we could still talk comfortably. First, I'm glad that they offer Beyond Burger since it's basically the only thing I can order here. I paid $1.75 to add avocado and this is what I got - not even enough to cover the bun. The last time I ordered here I paid the same to add sautéed mushrooms and got about the same amount. They add so little that you can't even taste it. So, my advice is don't pay for extras. Huey's G'town is a usual for us. The staff is fantastic: AJ is a pro through and through, efficient, expeditious, courteous. Part of why we keep going is because of the tacit relationships that have fallen into place on our once or twice a week to-go orders. The drive up/to go side door is very convenient. I'm not a huge fan of doing the 'I'm here and texted, so bring me my food!' option, so I usually go in to grab mine. When eating there, the inside is, well, the same Huey's it is everywhere else (and to me the consistency is pretty remarkable) with the patio - nice, if not noisy, oasis-ish reprieve from the outside world. And the food. Here's where things get inconsistent. Doneness can vary, I'm a medium rare kinda cat. I always order medium-rare; sometimes I get it medium, sometimes it's north of that bordering on nuked. The seasoning, which I often buy at Kroger, is what makes the burger, regardless of the variety (Old Tyme and Original are my go tos to go), has been wholly lacking for the past month or two. To be sure, I'm a thick paddy fan (the thin, stacked, greasy Dyeresque ones are fine, but the range from done to pink in the middle are what does it for me), and Huey's delivers on that end, but when it's overcooked this asset becomes a liability. The onion rings vary as to preparation and presentation, but when they're on, they're the best I've ever had. Crunchy, crispy, thickly breaded, pungent and best eaten with good old fashioned ketchup. The problem is that they're oft inconsistency as to the fry time and the size of the portion. Biggest criticism: order accuracy. If you get something to go, CHECK YOUR ORDER. We've had numerous inaccuracies, mainly with accompaniments, to wit, sauces (see onions rings/ketchup); Huey's chipotle ranch should probably be a Schedule 3 narcotic as good as it is, but when you order 3 extra sides of it and get zero, it's a fair sized disappointment. Get the wrong burger, cooked to the wrong temp? It'll still be pretty good, but won't hit the spot. To be sure, this issue is with respect to the Germantown location- Collierville and Erin Way don't seem to have the same issue (me go to Cordova? Not without a death wish!). read more

I did curbside pick up! Well I don't think I had a chance to park straight ( I pride myself on my excellent parking) before the young man was out getting my name and in a flash out with my order!! Shana & I dropped in after a Saturday night show at the GPAC. It was "seat yourself" which worries me a bit, but we had a server come to our table within a couple of minutes. We ordered a couple of beers...and then another server came to our table! Anyway, it was 10pm and I understand stuff like that. We ordered the wings, which came whole. They were okay, but most wings are okay. Nothing special about them, really. We also had the A-1 burger, which was fine, but not special. The price was reasonable and the service was good. All in all, it was what we needed, but nothing really stood out. It will always serve a spot in Germantown, because everything else closes so early! read more

If they seat you outside, you should just walk away. you'll basically be on the backburner. The wait times will be terrible and you'll basically have to force them to give you a check. They will try to seat you outside, even if they have open tables. The food is still really good. You'll just find yourself waiting for 20-30 minutes to get it as people who came after you are served (even if it's not terribly busy). Twice in a row, it seems our food has been forgotten. The most recent time, I had to ask where it was (politely). Huey's used to be pretty great, but it went downhill had after Covid I'm not asking for anything special, just to get the food I ordered. Huey's Germantown had a fabulous soup tonight! We loved the chicken and sausage gumbo! Finally, a fantastic soup that they did not load down with salt! I was pleased at how efficient the service was, despite how busy this restaurant was. Conner provided fairly amazing service to my group. I was surprised that their signature potato soup was delivered gazpacho style. It was almost as if the soup had been pulled from the refrigerator or something. I wasn't just my soup, but everyone's. The go-to place for burgers in the Memphis Metro area. Food is consistent, no matter which location you go to. The servers are very good and the service is consistently that way. It is a busy place, they have TVs all around with various sproting events on them, so you're sure to find a TV with what you're looking for. We went for lunch today 10/13/24. They were not that busy. The waitress was somewhat slow and the food came out very slow like slow. The other customers didn't look like they got their food ordered either. Why? We saw the bald headed manager adjusting the flat screen. He seems that was way more important than bring out the faster. The waitress never told us that the was going be out soon. The fried mushroom were slightly over cooked. We had no time to complaint because we were hungry. The main order was fine.
