Was visiting Plainfield for a wedding this weekend from Chicago and stopped by after checking out after a friend recommended this shop. We grabbed ribeyes, filets, Italian sausage and wagyu burgers to try. Made the ribeyes and filets tonight and they were so freaking good. Such a difference between a Jewel or Mariano's bought product of the same and this shops'. We put the steaks on the smoker and they melted in our mouths like butter. So amazing. We're trying the rest out later this week. Too bad we don't live closer here!! We'd be broke haha. read more

Started buying from Hufendick's when we walked down to the Oswego farmers market one Sunday many years ago. Bought some bacon and brats. Everything was fantastic but the bacon stands out to me mainly because I was NOT a big bacon person until I had theirs. Now it is the only bacon we buy and well worth the price. I recommend the maple bourbon, apple and black pepper but they are all wonderful. The steaks and chicken are also great and our Cavalier loves the treats we occasionally allow her to sample! We came here off of feedback we saw on Naperville Facebook. We wanted a place that was unique and quality. We hit the jackpot here. It is fresh from their farm to the store. We got steaks, chicken, and pork loin. Since we went the first time we came back 2 weeks later and had some of the prepared foods, farm fresh eggs, and the pulled pork. In addition to their food, they carry local sauces, oils, and pasta. Been here twice and it is now our go too place. Reasonably priced for fresh quality food and the prepared potato soup is delicious. The owners are great hosts, informative, and very accommodating. I had the pleasure of having one of the hams that they were selling around Easter. I have never before tasted ham as flavorful or juicy as that dish! I heard very recently that when pork was advertising itself as "the other white meat" they specifically bred pigs to produce whiter colored meat and that some of the good flavor was bread out of it. I'm here to tell you that the unmodified breed they raise at there farm is delicious and worth EVERY penny they are asking for it. They also have some great sides available to go with the meats. I hate to buy meat from anyone else. read more
