All of the teams know my house and their cleanings are consistent each time. They take care with my furnishings as well. Huff-N-Puff is privately owned and not a franchise. I just had a team come out to my house yesterday and I am so happy I did. My house looks and smells amazing. Elena, Mirna, and Rosa were professional and prompt. We discussed what my priorities were and I informed them of my budget, of which Mirna was respectful. Elena - hat tip to her - did my two bathrooms. I have two little boys so the mess in there is no joke. She tackled it and they are both sparkling. I even took an extra in my clean shower after she left just so I could enjoy it. Rosa and Mirna dusted and mopped and cleaned and it was amazing. I have a fair amount of little collectibles around my house - not to a weird degree but enough to make dusting a hassle - and they were very respectful of these things while also being very thorough. For years I kept hiring cleaning companies both from large well known companies and smaller ones..I've hired individuals as well. Most of the time if things went well they would only stay that way a short while and things would progressively get worse. This has not been the case with Huff-N-Puff. They have consistently done great work and frequently above and beyond expectations. They are extremely responsive to both my emails and calls when I need to reach them. They communicate everything and plan well ahead for holidays, etc. It's very rare I have no complaints at all, but that is the case with Huff-N-Puff. I am a very happy customer! read more

These guys are great! Both fast and VERY thorough. Plus, when I asked them to super scrub an area-- the inside of our fridge- they were clear about the up charge and did a great job. What more can you ask for of a cleaning crew? I always make sure I have them come in right before I have company. I'm very particular about what cleaning supplies are used where and they have a notebook where everything is written down per house-- so no issues with that either. I hired Huff-N-Puff to clean my office, as my previous cleaning company was not doing a good job. Aracely, the office manager was great at communicating how things would work, what it would cost, and when the crew would arrive. Crew supervisor Maria Elena were very attentive to our needs as the office was open during the cleaning, and she coordinated with her staff on what should be done. When the job was completed, she made sure everything was done properly prior to leaving. The office looked great, and I will use Huff-N-Puff again for our regular cleaning needs. read more

Huff N Puff is great, and they've become my regular "fairy godmothers" to help me out. I have a 3 floor house, and two cats, and between life, work, and everything else, I find it hard to keep everything in order. It also doesn't help that I have two other people living with me right now, and they're not too big on the cleaning either. HnP were very nice on the phone, and came into my house with three women complete with (mostly) their own cleaning supplies. The initial job is always the longest, and the woman in charge pulled me aside and kindly explained that they could leave now (their initial estimated time) or they could do one more hour, which they felt would really finish the job up, but there was no pressure either way. I asked them to stay, and they did a beautiful job. My house practically SPARKLED. They were kind, considerate, and worked hard the entire time. FURTHER, they gave me a list of the name of each woman, and which room she did, so that if I wanted things done differently, I could call the company, and give them the name of the woman who had done a particular room, and ask for whatever I wanted. The only reason they don't get a full five stars is the price. It wasn't cheap, and I don't get the feeling that even the maintenance will be on the thrifty side, but once every two weeks? It's worth it to me so I can come home to something nice, clean, and comfortable, and not stress about spending my weekends at home so I can get it all done. I'm a regular customer!! read more

Although the cleaning was fine, I will NOT be using this service again. They pulled a total bait and switch in terms of pricing; when I call the company to schedule service I was quoted an hourly rate ($38), a time range to complete the job (5-6 hours), and an estimated price quote ($190 - $228) for my 2-level house. Three people on the team that arrived took 3.5 hours to clean - and the final price was $402 - in other words, $38 per team member per hour. When I questioned the cost, they told me that I must have misunderstood their fee structure. Don't bother with these people. There are too many other honest, and good, cleaning companies in the area. I've never hired a cleaning service or person before, but I needed a deep cleaning of my house because it just became too overwhelming with all of my other responsibilities. So, I checked out 3 highly rated Silver Spring-area companies listed in Consumer Checkbook. I hired Huff N Puff because they were the most accommodating with my schedule and Aracely (the owner or manager) was so helpful and kind on the phone. The day before the team came, I received a voicemail message saying approx. when they would be there. So, while I was teleworking the next day, 4 women showed up and planned to spend 1 hour cleaning my LR, DR, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. If you provide your own rags, you save $3. Also, I could have chosen to provide a stronger cleaner for my bathroom, but the co. itself is not allowed to provide bleach. Also, Aracely sent an English-speaking young woman, Marie, along to translate for the regular supervisor, Concepcion, which was a big help so we could talk about what needed done since this was our first time working together. After an hour, which we had planned for, Marie asked if they could clean a little more, for an additional $40. There was no pressure and it was well worth it to have them keep going. Afterward, Marie gave me the option to do a walk-through with her and she pointed out what they did. The place looked and smelled great. They did an awesome job! I had the option to pay cash or just have Aracely charge my credit card (she had the # already because I had to put down a deposit). I called Aracely soon after and did the latter, letting her know how impressed I was. I'll definitely have them back! read more
