Tried out Huffmans for the first time last night. They were running a Father's Day special and so I decided to take my dad. First impression of the inside of the restaurant was great...kind of like speakeasy vibes, cool decor, dark. We were greeted by the water waiter who offered us three types of water to choose from. Waitress came over and took our orders. First thing to come out was the Waygu Beef Carpaccio. I took a pic of it but it didn't save to my phone for some reason but it was a solid 10/10. That garlic horseradish aioli was amazing. Secondly, my dad's meal came with a salad, he chose ceasar which might have had the best croutons on it that I've ever had. Bread was also served which was a sourdough, I believe, with 2 butter options (regular and garlic) and an olive oil. Very good. Dad's meal was the 14 oz bone in ribeye with a one pound loaded potato. He said all was very good. For my meal, I got the Cajun cream pasta with steak. It was perfection. There is nothing bad I can say about this dish other than I didn't think it was spicy at all. Didn't matter though because the flavor was great. With the Father's Day special, dads got a dessert and an old fashioned with their meal as well. For dessert, he got the lemon blueberry cheesecake. I took a bite of it and it was so good. The reason I didn't give this experience 5/5 stars is because the service was lacking. Typically, I factor in if the restaurant is busy. I'll start by saying, they were not busy. Out of the 13 or so tables, 6 were occupied including us. Our waitress maybe had us and another table she was waiting on. The waitress was very nice but I had to ask for items a couple times. Bread, drink refills, etc. The water waiter filled our drinks many times and then he stopped coming around. I asked the waitress for refills on our drinks and ended up having to remind her. I know technically it was the water waiters job so I'm not faulting her entirely because she did end up being the one to fill our glasses. At the end, she did tell us it was one of her first nights there so then we understood some of the hiccups. Again, very nice and certainly not a horrible waitress. She did great for the most part. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. Highly recommend- go try it out. Enjoy some food pics I took. read more

This was my 3rd or 4th visit to Huffman's. It is, by far, the best restaurant in Parkersburg! Nothing comes close to the food, service, or atmosphere. Arrived early to enjoy a Bourbon Flight. Started with the Tips and Bleu Appetizer, the Signature Filet, and ending with the Bourbon Cake. Absolutely delicious in every way. If you've never been, make your reservations now! read more

Very slow service and terrible steak cooking , medium asked they cooked very well done

We were in town for a family event and walked in without reservations. While I wouldn't suggest that, Dottie the maître d was very helpful and found us a table. We started with oysters, delicious. My husband had steak which was cooked perfectly and amazing. I chose the crab cakes and added truffle fries. The crab cakes were so good!!! Among the best I have had. The service was impeccable. I would definitely go back, but would make reservations. So surprised to find such great food accidentally!! read more

Having heard about a new up scale restaurant I decided it would be a good place to celebrate our anniversary. I called to book a reservation and got exactly what we wanted. I received a text to confirm the reservation and the morning of the reservation I got a phone call, wishing us a happy anniversary and confirming our reservation. We arrived early as traffic was lite an we were excited. Upon arrival we were greeted an again wish a happy anniversary and promptly seated by Dottie, the maître D. Dottie introduced us to our server, Joelle and while Joelle got us water, Dottie explained the menu and gave us so many recommendations that we already knew we would have to come back. Joelle returned and asked if we were ready to order. We said no but wanted to start with a dozen oysters. After the oysters arrived Joelle returned and asked about our order. We ordered a 14 oz bone in dry aged ribeye, scalloped potatoes and green beans. While we waited for our meal, Joelle kept checking in on us without hovering. She never let out water glasses go empty and was just perfect. When the steak arrived, it was split table side and served to us individually. The sides were served family style and a generous portion. The steak was cooked to perfection and tender as can be! The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and I think the beans were finished with a drizzle of olive oil that was delicious. Throughout the meal, Joelle continued to check on us and my wife made the comment that she never stopped by when we had food in our mouths. I finally had to comment to Joelle, anyone can bring food from the kitchen to the table, but it takes skill and dedication to be a career waitress and she had it in spades. Though stuffed, Joelle asked about dessert an we asked what they offered. We settled on I think they called it huffmans ice cream, but whatever you call it, we called it delicious. My wife said she would only eat a bite or two. She lied! She couldn't stop eating this perfect balance of vanilla ice cream, fresh raspberries, cherries and a giant chocolate truffle. Oh! I almost forgot, we ordered a bottle of Post & Beam Cabernet Sauvignon. Their wine, bourbon and specialty cocktail selections is fantastic. My wife wants to go back next week. My only warning is to go hungry, and if you are lucky enough to have Joelle serve you, prepare to leave a good tip because she is worth every penny! read more

Had dinner on May 8, 2026 and was greeted warmly because it is not my first visit. Our server was Zay, who remembered my name. It was my guests first visit. I am familiar with the food and its excellent flavor and uniqueness, My guest, however, was very impressed with the choices and with the flavors. But what made the dinner a great experience was the service. Zay was especially attentive and pleasant. He paid special attention to pleasing my guest since this was his first visit. If I could give them more stars I would. My daughter made reservations for 10-22 for my birthday. The service and food were beyond amazing!! Yes the food is a little pricey, but believe me, it is worth every penny. Do your self a favor and make a reservation, you will not be disappointed. read more

First class services and unbelievably delicious food. It's a small venue so be sure to make reservations early. If you are looking for more than a normal dining experience this is a definite must in the Parkersburg area. Quality comes with a price tag so plan on spending about $100 per person.
