My first visit was AMAZING! The staff was super friendly, from me walking in the door.. Until I walked out. I have more food items I want to try when I come back. Like the loaded salad. However, on this trip, I ordered the loaded baked potato with added tomatoes and a small order of fried green tomatoes. The loaded potato was reasonably sized. Not a big Idaho baker, but it also was not a small russet. I ordered steak as my protein. I was a bit disheartened, that they didn't have actual steak slivers. Instead, they had shaved steak. Granted, I like shaved steak.. But I like it as a Philly steak. In addition, some people love nacho cheese on their potatoes.. I don't. I just enjoy a melted shredded cheese. The fried green tomatoes were DELICIOUS! I would like to order 20,000 more. To sum it all up, the food was good! Just because I like my potato a certain way, and I read more into the menu without asking for more details, won't stop me from coming back..and don't let it stop you either.

This restaurant is soo good! I knew it would be when the food looked just like the pictures on the menu!!!! The shrimp salad delicious! Fish fried perfectly! Service was nice, easy, everything was so fast! She even called me back and asked if I was on my way when my food was ready! I can't wait to go back!!! Please give support, Huge Impact is what Indy needed! The ambience is perfect to dine in also. Very nice!!! I would double these 5 stars if I could!!!!

I was excited to learn of a soul food restaurant on the northwest side of town. Aside from the friendly service, hence 2 Stars, ANOTHER disappointment A 35 minute wait for extremely greasy food! I ordered the catfish diner with order of fried pickles. Not sure what they fried the fish in but I couldn't it it! The taste was indescribably bad!! Fried pickles were more salty than usual. Not a place I would frequent because of the location.

Fish Friday (whiting, perch, or catfish) fries, coleslaw, and can of pop for $10

I had heard some good things about this place so I gave it a go since I was near the area. This small, local, and black owned restaurant is located in a strip mall with a hair salon, furniture store, and a nightclub. Its food truck is sitting outside making it easier to spot. The dining area is closed due to COVID so currently it's pick up only. The young lady taking orders wore a mask and there was a plexiglass shield in front of the register. A small fridge housing the cold dessert offerings sat on the long counter along with other sweets. Menu is on a large chalkboard behind the counter. I decided to try their Friday fish special. The options are a 2 piece catfish or whiting or 5 piece perch. I chose the catfish. The meal comes with fries, coleslaw, and a drink for only $10. After placing the order for two meals, I had about a 10 minute wait. They present the meal to you in its container for viewing before bagging it up. The fish was fried just right to my liking and everything was seasoned well. While waiting, I heard 3 call in orders come in for chicken Alfredo so I'll probably try that next time I'm on the west side.

Today was my first time eating here! I've been here so much about this place I had to try it. I saw on their FB page that they was having a Thunda Thursday special for $12. It comes with 3 whole wings, 5 Cheese Mac n Cheese, Greens with Turkey, Sweet Potatoes and Corn Bread or Roll. I ordered that and my wife ordered Fish n Chips. Overall the presentation of the food was great and it smelled so good! Customer service was great as well. The guy who took our ordered explained a few things since it was our first time. The taste of the food was pretty good. Everything had a spice to it! The chicken wings were huge and fried perfectly, the greens were ok the only thing is they don't take the turkey bones out after the turkey breaks up. The Mac n Cheese was not a fave of mines. I'm a huge mac n cheese fanatic and for this to be an5 cheese mac n cheese I was sad that it was not real cheese. It was powdered cheese. They forgot my sweet potatoes and I forgot to until I got home. No biggie for me though not a huge sweet potato eater anyway. Overall I enjoyed my food and I will be back to try their crabs, fried green tomatoes and shrimp.

Food so good I had to go back the next day! I had wings with lemon pepper, greens , macaroni and cheese, and fried green tomatoes. Everything is made to order very fresh and the order of fried green tomatoes are everything thing. I showed up the next day for $2 Tuesday. Yes the tacos are $2 and so delicious. I got steak tacos and shrimp tacos . The shrimp was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also was happy to see the owner giving exceptional customer service and walking me through the menu and options. His recommendations were on point and I was able to order and leave with my food in a timely manner, as I was on break and had a short window to eat and get back to work. Happy customer !!

Unfortunately this was my first time here and I don't know what took me so long. Man can I tell you the chicken Alfredo is the BOMB DOT COM. I will be back soon. One bite and I was hook.

Was craving wings, thought I would give this place a try. Very pleased!! Wings were drummies and flats. The wings were very meaty and flavorful. The fries were a coated seasoned fries and they were good too!! William personally came out and delivered my food and had me check it to make sure It was ok. I noticed another employee do the same. Nice touch. Food was good and would definitely come back again!!

Bad service, took an hour to have my food ready and I called 30 minutes ahead of time. Manager blocked my number and was rude for no reason.

The interior is bright and fun. They're in the strip mall at 86th with the Noral Target, so there was plenty of parking. We each ordered separately, but they nicely put our order on the same overall table ticket so that it was delivered at roughly the same time. I hadn't been here before, and was excited to try it. You order at the front counter then they bring it to our table. The menu can be a little daunting if you aren't sure what you want. I chose a chicken enchilada bowl, but was then told they were out of cheese. Nothing else was jumping out at me, so I just ordered the avocado toast. (see pics) Our food came fairly quickly. I will say, my coworkers' dishes looked good. I was pretty disappointed with my avocado toast. For $9, it was a sinlgle slice of bread, only very lightly toasted. The jammy egg was maybe 1 hard boiled egg, chopped up on top, and it was cold. It did have shredded cheese over it (not sure why that couldn't have been used in my enchilada bowl?) . It also tased like it had a lot of "everything bagel" spices on it, and was overall fairly salty. So it was a little disappoining. And I left hungry. But I wasn't in the mood to order anything else. My coworkers had sweet potato fries (I tried some - really good!), and different bowls that looked good, so I would give them another try sometime, but the avocado toast did not live up to expectations. #ReviewsByRL

Their menu dues change daily so be sure to check their online menu frequently. We saw halibut cheeks on the menu literally 2 hours before we went and right before we left we checked again and it was now Walleye. My sons and hubby brought me back (my choice) for Mother's Day. I got the North African tagine. Had it before and it was almost perfect. Needed more salt, which I requested. Hubby and one son got the walleye and my youngest opted for a plain steak- not on the menu. They do have a children's menu with chicken fingers, grilled cheese and buttered noodles but he said nah. Everyone loved their meals. We also got the potatoes to share. Also needed salt. My son and I got two mocktails, Lazy River and lullaby. Delicious. And love that they have spirit free drinks. Dessert...never disappoints. The best house made whipped cream ever. They gave us extra on the side after we asked. Decaf French press coffee from Hubbard and Cravens (my fave place) was absolutely perfect. Our server Paige was friendly and attentive. The bread basket was assorted and amazing. We sat at a high top table in the bar. Our server, Bailey (the bartender), was friendly and super attentive. She made recommendations and kept glasses filled. The craft beer selection is excellent with about 16 local options on tap. My husband had a Fall City "Hipster Repellent". The name alone is interesting, but he loved his beer. I had the Espresso Martini which came with roasted coffee beans floating on top. My cocktail went down easy. I also had a glass of the Berringer Chardonnay. The pour is generous. We shared a plate of Loaded Tots, which was wonderful. The tots are made from scratch in-house and covered with roasted bits of pork belly, cheese, a sauce and green onions. We LOVED the tots, which came out super hot. We also shared a plate of the Loaded Hummus. The plate is beautiful and colorful. The hummus is fresh made and loaded with bits of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and is delicious on a balsamic reduction. The hummus is served with a generous portion of fresh in-house made focaccia bread which tasted amazing. The Loaded Hummus is a winner in my book. Bailey our server was fabulous. She worked the entire bar and was an ambassador of the chef and menu. I wish we had time to stay for dinner because the food is outstanding. Each dish that we saw pass by looked delicious and artistic. I highly recommend. We will be returning for dinner soon. Easy 5 stars! We found street parking, but parking was limited.

Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered the pimento dip and crab cake to start. The dip was not quite as good as we expected based on prior reviews. It was good not great. This place is small...much smaller than I had imagined. In my opinion, there isn't really a good seat in the house, literally, because the restaurant is a converted home in a residential setting. Each and every table is either by the front door, near the kitchen, or restroom-adjacent. It also seemed like they were having some plumbing issues or something, because one area was blocked off making the seating situation even more limited. It was nice out, so we probably should've dined on the patio. Our server never introduced himself by name, so I didn't learn that tidbit of info until we got the bill. We ordered the deviled eggs flight, which he told us that he couldn't tell us about because "it's different every time". He did check for any allergens, which was thoughtful. The deviled eggs themselves were very much a blank canvas and the toppings were the entire show. Server asked if we wanted to play egg roulette or if we wanted him to tell us what they were. We wanted to know, so he pointed to each...extremely close, and I was so distracted by his finger hovering so dangerously close to my food that all I heard was "chimichuri". I have no clue what the others were. Oh, I think one was chili crisp! I also had the crab cake and loved the aioli that it was served with. My husband had the BLT, which comes with an egg on it and is served on Texas Toast. He's not a fan of Texas Toast, but he enjoyed the sandwich. If I were rating this on food alone, it would be 4 stars, but the cramped atmosphere and level of service brings it down to a 3 for me.
