I wanted to purchase a 2022 Mercedes GLC 300 4 matic. I called on a Tuesday. I spoke to Tyler who made the following representations 1. The car had only been on the lot for less than a month 2. The car was fully serviced and ready to go 3. We could drive off with it the same day. The reality was different. The car was not serviced. It In fact the front tires were below the state limit of 2/32s. The tire light was on. The engine was shaking. The windshield was broken. The side fender and door were scratch. There was an open recall. It was overdue for the Mercedes B service ($1,600) The car could not leave the same day because it was not serviced. They car had not been on the lot for less than one month it had been there for six months and the finance manger had driven it over 5,000 miles. The car was advertised as having 16k miles. When I arrived it had 21k mikes. The website says that "all vehicles get fully serviced by our ASE certified technicians" the key word here is "get" because they do not do it up front. The website says "we offer FREE trade appraisals" and when I asked for an evaluation on my trade the dealer initially refused. They said that if I didn't like their car they wouldn't do an appraisal (eventually they did). Overall beside the car and mileage not being as advertised or represented, I was appalled by the tendency to make things up or lie about seemingly insignificant details. read more

Awful. Drove 30 minutes to test drive a used car. They said they would make sure it was ready to drive. I show up and the brake fluid line is leaking everywhere so I can't test drive it that day. A different sales person told me he drove that car home the night before and it runs great (clearly not true). I put a deposit down of $300 but I said I was not signing the line that acknowledges the deposit is non refundable because I havent even taken it for a test drive. I didn't sign the line and he acknowledged it. Now I cant get the deposit back. read more

My son just bought a car from here. Two weeks after purchasing the car for $8,500 in cash, it was still not ready for pick up. After many angry calls they agreed to let him have the car without an inspection sticker if he brought it to a mechanic "friend" of the business for the inspection. We brought it to our mechanic instead. The price tag for repairs to fix the car so it will even pass inspection is $5,600: neither sway bar attached, check engine light on, break light broken, all four tires need to be replaced and the entire exhaust needs to be replaced. We are now fighting to get a refund per Massachusetts's law. This place is very untrustworthy. One lie after another. This was a a good dealership until the new owners took over. read more

Definitely don't trust their word. Read on for more details: Called on a car, they said to come down it's here. Told them I'm getting an Uber from Plymouth now. Paid $120 (total in Ubers to come). Got there and was told the car just sold. The car may have sold within an hour of talking to them and the car being on the lot for 6 months. However, here is where they went wrong: * You shouldn't have told someone to come for a specific car and then sell it to someone else within an hour. If you want ask for a deposit for a hold like normally done. * I was told the person came in right after our phone call, and that salesman are not allowed to call customers back to let them know the car may be sold as a warning. * The receptionist lied and said the customer was there awhile and test drove 6 cars before purchasing the one we were coming for. However, I was told by another employee that they came in and only test drove 1 (the one we were coming for). * They then tried to sell the same type of car we were looking at, that was 2 years older, with body damage, for 2k more! Yes a bit lower mileage but not at all worth 2k more when the car brand new was only 15k in 2019 (Mitsubishi mirage). We wanted the 2021 with no damage for $9990. * They refused to allow us to speak with the owner or manager to try and work things out and just said we could leave a message. * For going through all that the company should have tried to be fair and make it right, but they chose the wrong road. :( read more

Filled out the credit app and received a call from the BDC. I wanted confirmation that I was all set before I drove all the way to the dealership, so I didn't waste anyone's time. She put me on hold and came back and said they work with over 30 banks and I was all set. I made the appointment and drove all the way there. I checked the vehicle out and although it was a little banged up I wasn't being picky because of my situation. I was then told the finance manager wasn't in and she gave me her card and asked me to email my recent paystubs. I did just that. Now here it is 2 weeks later, and they haven't responded to my emails or texts. All of my info was correct from the beginning. They shouldn't have told me I was all set and ran my credit multiple times if they weren't sure. Or at least informed me that they were going to. Bad business and horrible communication. read more

Had to spend $1500 for repairs that were necessary from Colonial Ford to make the car safe to drive for my 16 year old son, 2 weeks after purchasing it. They sold me a car that had a speed limitation (wouldn't go over 68 MPH) and at one point was a fleet vehicle, without any knowledge or disclosure. I had to have a second key made (car only came with 1 key), have the MyKey limitations removed (Ford utilizes MyKey to control driver settings), the transmission flushed and filled, and have the keyless entry reprogrammed. The cabin air filter hadn't been touched, and was so collapsed I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove it. Their "touch up paint" was atrocious, and will have to be professionally corrected. I felt like I was buying a solid car from a reputable dealer, however, after having to go out of pocket for this $1500 for necessary repairs, as well as an additional $500 to replace the windshield that was so scratched from bad wiper blades it was a hazard, that may not have been the case. I've reached out to them to see if they'd stand behind their sale, but it's been radio silence. These were not cosmetic or custom repairs, these were repairs necessary to have the car perform safely. We had a very deceptive experience here. Up front everyone seemed nice and accomodating. We left with a used car feeling like we'd had a good experience. A year later, and we failed a safety and emissions test. That wouldn't feel like such a big deal if the mechanic didn't find $2000 worth of repairs. We've driven it very little, grocery shopping and pediatrician appointments with the odd errand. We did not rack up the need for these repairs personally. The mechanic had asked who had fixed it last because the whole underside of the car was rusted: the floor, suspension, and steering. The exhaust was rotted, and pipes had been cut, replaced with universal pipes, and welded together, and were breaking apart. A few components for the hatch back, such as the actuator, had failed (and that had failed months ago). I genuinely believe they may have lied on the safety and inspection report they gave when we bought the car. They knew I was due to give birth anyday and that the primary reason we were buying the car was to transport the baby to pediatrician appointments and such. I'm horrified to realize that they sold us a car that looked fine up top but was in such horrible condition knowing that it wasn't entirely safe or wouldn't be very soon and that we'd bought it because we were having a baby. I definitely feel like we've been had as well as endangered. What's worse is that we were and are financially strapped, so it was a miracle we scrounged together enough funds for the car and insurance in the first place. Bought a car from them and ended up having a bad transmission. At first they didn't want to fix it. They tried to just get me into another car and offered absolutely no compensation or discounts on any other car even they sold me a bad car. They finally agreed to fix my car and had no loaner cars and my car would take about 3 weeks to fix. I'm sure other people have had a better experience than I did but i truly regret going there. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone, but for anyone still considering them, there are a few things you should know. 1. Ask for a Carfax report or pull your own. For the "016 BMW 3 Series 328i xDrive Sedan AWD - $23,588" (VIN:WBA8E3G50GNU04160) I was looking at, they pulled a "AutoCheck Vehicle History Report" which showed that the car was damage free. However, an independently pulled Carfax report showed that the vehicle sustained structural damage (see screenshots) 2. Their pure and simple no-negotiation experience does not mean no negotiation. Prior to finding out that the vehicle I was interested in had significant damage, I was very interested in the vehicle and was able to negotiate a lower price for the vehicle in the form of a cashback check post purchase. (see negotiated P&S terms attached) 3. Have a written agreement prior to putting down any deposits. Throughout the entire process, the team at Huggard and Ewing were very reluctant to put down anything in writing without a "refundable deposit", even going so far as to claim that they cannot send a P&S without a deposit in house. I was very pleased with the truck price. However, be careful committing to buy or putting down payment if sales guy promises to fix something on a used vehicle that you have questions about (tire replacement, brake pads, etc.) because the "Service Manager" will tell you something different. Also, I financed through my own bank based on reviews here. After the purchase, the registration process and communicating with my insurance company and myself was long and dragged out. Returned calls weren't prompt. I was questioning if it was legal to drive my vehicle after 10 days with no registration that was preventing me getting an inspection sticker. I wish I had known about their nickname of Hugg em and Screw em before we set foot in this place. Back in June we looked at an SUV for my son. We brought it to our mechanic to look over and they said it was good but that the bumper had some issue. When we talked to the salesman, Tyler Sousa he told us they would replace the bumper for us. We told him that we were in a time crunch as my son was going back to college and he assured us we would have it in time. We signed the papers and then Tyler left on vacation without telling anybody what we were promised. The Service Manager did manage to reach Tyler who confirmed that he promised the bumper to be replaced before the weekend. The service Manager told us there was no way it could be done in that time frame but that we would order it and it would be ready to be done Thanksgiving week when my son was home again. November roles around and they never ordered the bumper. This was 5 months later!!! He assured us it would be ready come Christmas. My son did not make it home at Christmas but we scheduled with the service department for January 11th. We dropped of the car at 10 and was told it would be done in about an hour. At 12:15 after not hearing anything I started calling. It took me until 2pm until I was able to get anyone to answer the phone. I was told that it would be ready at 2:30. We go to get it and the new bumper was dirty and had a giant scratch on it. We showed to the man at service and he brought it back in. When it came back out it was buffed about a bit and was better but still scratched. We were told that they didn't have enough time to get the bumper properly painted and buffed. I can't imagine why it would take 7 months to do this as we started the process in June and it was now January. It was apparent the the "new" bumper came from a scrap yard and was just thrown onto the SUV. Do not use this company. It is the worst! read more

Had an excellent experience here. Came here after a few frustrating experiences at other dealerships, should have come here first! No negotiation made the process much easier and faster. We got a really nice Accord at a great price. For the people complaining about the finance manager: always secure your own financing with your own credit union! Shop your own rate around. Don't rely on someone else to do that for you, it saves lots of time and hassle. We were with the finance manager for 10 mins tops. She offered us extended warranties, we politely declined and that was that. Hassle free. Our Accord checked out nicely with our mechanic and we're still very happy with it 8 mos later. Will Not make good on their promises after buying the car I had to wait 3 weeks before picking it up because they were servicing it. not even a month later I have a bad drive belt and 2 bad mass air flow sensors. They pretty much told me they weren't going to do anything after being told if there's any problems to bring it back. I called the service center and they told me they over serviced the car. What a rip off. Now I have to pay 1600$ to the Nissan factory to have it repaired. I bought my car in July 2016. Since then I have kept up with oil changes, recalls, exc. paid what I needed to pay for whatever broke or needed replacing, tires, parts, anything. Never fussed about pricing. Well coming up on four years later, granted yes it's been four years my engine is junk. I don't think an engine should be trash at 120k. They refuse to work with me on repairs or replacements, but quick to sell me new (of course). To get someone's business back you should work out some deal for coming back, but because all warranties are done, they don't want to. Sent for a test drive with absolutely zero gas and the truck had broken glass in it. They said it hadn't been serviced yet but they would after we bought it...right. Found a second truck close to what he was looking for but slightly to high, made an offer and was told they are a "no negotiations dealership",really? Then why don't you post your prices upfront. Such a scam to get people to finance thru them so they can blindfold people from their price by changing the monthly payments. Finally and the best part, when we said ok thanks but we'll look elsewhere we were basically laughed at and was told he looked and there's only four of these trucks around and he owns all four! I am not sure what auction these guys buy their cars from but I got a lemon that required a new engine 2 weeks after I bought it. I only put 500 miles on the car and had a problem with the oil pressure; thank God I had a manufacturer's warranty that covered the repairs because I received a letter a from Huggard & Ewing warranty company (Asset Protection) stating my vehicle was "Ineligible". This is the 4K, 4-month warranty they told me about when I purchased the car. Prior to picking up the car I ask them to make sure the service was up to date, only to find out later they only changed the oil and not the filter. I guess these guys will cut any corner they can so the owners can make more of a profit. Scam bags!!!! read more

I recently bought a vehicle at H&E and although I am happy with the vehicle itself I am disappointed in the actual service that was provided. During the buying process, I was worried about the front tires and suggested new ones would be needed, but I was assured they passed their 4/16ths test, so we took our sales rep Alan's word and decided to purchase the vehicle. Upon pick up of the vehicle I was given three keys, but no remote. When I questioned Alan about where the remote was, he suggested that the model I purchased, a remote was not an option. I proceeded to bring the vehicle to a lock smith who got me a remote for $160. When I brought this to the attention of Alan he advised they would not reimburse me at all for the remote and they sold the car with how ever many keys came with the vehicle. He proceeded to say, I was lucky as sometimes they sell cars with only one key. I was willing to let this go as even though I believe a remote should be part of a vehicle I did not ask about it up front. Then I took the vehicle to my family mechanic, who we have been using for 30 years, and have the tire checked out. He took one look and saw the underlayment of the tire shining through. He also noticed that one of the rear tires had a plug in the side wall, which was dangerous. I asked my mechanic to make my vehicle safe. For 755 additional dollars my vehicle is now safe to drive with 4 new tires. Again when I brought this up to Alan he did not recall discussing the tires and again said they perform a check on the car and it passed inspection. Again not willing to compansate me at all. So I bought a $22,000 vehicle and had to drop $900+ in the first month so I could unlock doors from inside the house and have safe tires to drive on. Never again for me. Bought a truck here last November. Got in an accident in late April and my truck was totaled. Luckily I had gap insurance to cover the difference. Also had an extended warranty that I canceled shortly after the accident. The refund is supposed to be sent to the lien holder after cancellation. Received a call from the bank saying I still owe money on my loan and it is now past due. Come to find out they never paid the refund of over $1000. The finance manager is completely corrupt and unethical. We found a car at a decent price and were ready to purchase. Susan tried to force extended warranties on us that we did not want. She wrote up contracts with the most expensive warranty on it. When I noticed she claimed it was mistake. From reading other reviews, I now know that is actually part of the scam. I told her that we did not want a warranty at all. She told us that we had to have the warranty or we would have to have a shorter loan. I asked the difference in cost and she said our monthly payments would be more than what she had quoted with the warranty. This was a straight up lie! This warranty was adding over $2000 to the purchase price. When I did the math myself, I realized her warranty was adding $70 to my monthly payments for one year longer. $70 for 6 years is over $5000...for a warranty! I have put a stop payment on our down payment and am hoping for the best. Such horrible business practices! Update: As a result of my absolutely horrific experience at this lot, I ended up doing a lot of reading on scams that car lots will try to pull on you. This lot used every sleazy trick in the book. They lied about our credit score to try to give us a really high interest rate. By doing this they scare the buyer into thinking that they won't get approved for financing anywhere else so they end up paying way too much for the car. When I arrived an hour after I confirm I was on my way the car was not there. I was told the car was sold last night and taken to a body shop for a repair. I am not aware of any body shops open on a Saturday night, so I makes me believe the car was sold days before. Details below: I told them my preferred monthly rate and cash-down. The car was the same price as my last 2 cars, so I knew what we wanted. They picked Greenwood CU for me at almost 5% finance. I asked them - is this the lowest rate? They said no. I asked to switch to a lower place, Crescent, for 4%, significantly cheaper. They also have online billing which is better. They 'accidentally' submitted the loan with Greenwood CU three times instead of Crescent, and as a result I have had 3 credit inquiries on my credit for that 1 day. I've been to many other dealerships that only do 1, this is unnecessary. It also is a pain for me that it sticks on my credit report for 2 years. They will always say it is 'her mistake' and 'she will take a loss', this just isn't true. They told me they got fired from their last job. What is presented above are simply facts and not opinion. You decide your own fate. This is my only 1 star review - I would gladly change it to 5 stars if they remove the unnecessary credit inquiries. read more

I bought my vehicle from Huggard and Ewing just over a year ago and have had several issues with it. Less than a year and not many miles I needed new tires. Chris told me he could get the same Bridgestones for a great price. Upon having the tires replaced and it taking 2 days I drove off only to get home and my husband realizing I had the cheapest tires you can buy. Not the same bridgestone tires I was promised. I spoke to Chris explained my problem and was basically told I agreed to the cheaper tires which is absolutely not true. He supposed to check into this issue and follow up with me and never did. I have texted his personal cell 4 times now with no response so I am now leaving a review for others to see. Beware. This is the stereotypical used car dealership. I will never go there again nor will I ever reccomend this place to anyone. Honesty goes a long way and this place is not honest. Such a shame as I truly thought Chris was kind and caring..
