I walked in without an appointment, they took my car immediately, and within 10 minutes, they had it up on a lift and had me come in so they could point out the repairs that needed to be made. I was in and out and under an hour. And they have a two-year guarantee on all their repairs. Lou's custom exhaust is a chain auto repair shop that specializes in exhaust only. They don't do any other kind of automotive repair; so don't plan on going there to get your transmission fixed etc. I was pleasantly surprised how quick they could do the work and did a flex pipe and three phalanges in under an hour and a half, on a fairly busy day. The customer service was good and I appreciated a window into the garage so I could see everything being done. I was referred to Lou's by my trusted local gas station and the advice was good; Lou's didn't disappoint. I would definitely return and I was very satisfied with the work, which comes with a 2 year warranty. They also have WiFi if you're waiting in the lobby. I went to Lou's Exhaust in Canton to get my exhaust fixed. they told me I needed to replace my flex pipe and it was going to cost $475 when I told them that seems a bit much they told me they can do it for $400 but with a different flex pipe piece. I agreed to that. I ended up calling the Lou's Exhaust in Boston. they stated the charge for that job is 160 and if they have to replace the whole flex pipe the most will be no more than $260. I informed the Machanic at Lou's in Canton what the Boston branch said and in his response he stated "we set our own prices". I believe they over charged me because I am a woman. I recommend you go to the Boston branch or at least check for comparable prices before comming here. Also ladies do not show up alone, bring a man with you. read more

Went to this location to get exhaust work done. A guy named Tim worked on it and unfortunately it didn't come out good so came back to get things right (2 years warranty they say). Unfortunately they were rude, slaming tools In your face just because it's a warranty job. Clearly if they not in the field they looking for they should apply for another job. Went to have exhaust system looked at it. The 12 year old Subaru I was afraid was going to meet a new muffler and maybe more of the exhaust system repaired. I was sure it was going to be over a thousand. They showed me what was wrong. The exhaust system needed repairs in a few places but the muffler was fine. They were great at pointing out the problems and the bill came to under 600. Another customer while I was there was told he had a small problem and they fixed it no charge. I will never go to Lou's custom exhaust in Brockton or Stoughton again they both are ran by complete imbecile's. The front desk guy in stoughton cannot complete a sentence without stuttering ; is a liar and jacks the price up despite the management quoting me 150 before he started the work. The Brockton location just did a terrible job. They removed my flex pipe in the very front without telling me and then the secondary flex pipe was put in wrong and was not the correct size I paid $300 to the brockton location in less than a year. I was referred to the stoughton location but still had a bad experience. I dont often publicly display someones logo or ad but when I am at the car shows this summer Lou's logo will be proudly displayed on my ride. Being a girl, car shops tend to try and take advantage over typical female oblivion when it comes to cars. I can honestly say that these guys are genuine! I called the shop and was able to bring my '03 VW jetta in right away, which was perfect. I already knew what was wrong with my car, what it needed and about how much it was going to cost me. I was very pleased to see that the guys checking over and working on my car, did not try to sell me on anything it did not need, or overcharge me. I had recently bought the car, and the hood latch was broken, along with a broken flex pipe and one of the tail pipes missing. I had suspected the car needed new motor mounts, but with all of the above wrong, it was very hard to tell for sure. While the car was on the lift, one of the guys showed me how much the engine was moving, and that the car had already blown through two or three flex pipes, because of bad motor mounts. I understand they don't do this work here, but he was still very honest about everything and while my mounts do not need to be replaced immediately, he did warn me that I could blow through this flex pipe much quicker if it isn't dealt with. I was in and out in less that 45 minutes, the price was great, 2 year warranty on all the parts and work done, and the staff is honest and friendly. I will continue to bring my cars here! read more

I came in here after having a horrible experience with Firestone the week before, and then being quoted from NTB for a complete exhaust replacement, telling me "oh no this MUST be replaced, it can't be welded". Needed to replace the catalytic converter, front/rear flanges, etc on my older Honda Pilot. The dealership quoted an absolutely outrageous price (to the point that I was probably going to junk it). Was referred to Lou's by my regular mechanic. They offer walk-in estimates which is pretty convenient. My car was on the lift within about 10 minutes and I had a quote in hand 5 minutes later (that was a fraction of the amount quoted by the dealer). They looked pretty busy but they said if I had 60-90 minutes they could do it right then. When they called me over earlier than 60 minutes later I thought they were going to tell me they found something else but they were finished! Sue was super pleasant and the two mechanics I dealt with were highly patient/knowledgeable (took me under the car to show me exactly what they planned to do and then what they did after completion). I was referred here by Rob at Sun Stoppers down the road. Best decision stopping by. Brought my 07 Wrangler Unlimited by hoping to get a Flowmaster 40 installed (only because I'd heard of other people doing it). Paul told me that while he'd be happy to do that, there were other, less expensive options that would give me better performance and better sound. He got my Jeep up on the list and then basically let me design my own custom setup. I went with a Lou's SS freeflow then straight back to a nice sized stainless tip. He gave me a quote (VERY fair pricing) and I thought for sure he would bring it down off of the lift and give me a time to come back. Nope! Had his guys get to work on it right away, and about an hour later my Jeep came off of the lift with a nice throaty rumble and a much better looking tip. How much did it cost? I met Paul at t he dealership I used to work at and I liked what he had to say about an exhaust system for my custom 79 Corvette. Paul is not the typical exhaust guy that does what he thinks is the correct thing. I brought my car there yesterday and explained to him what I wanted to do and what the end result that I wanted to get to. Instead of just picking what he thought was best he explained the differences between the mufflers and the sound letting me pick which one I wanted. To top everything off while I was there Paul came and got me to show me each stage of the process they were in to make sure that is what I wanted and that I liked what I saw so far. When it was completed and I heard the sound I was a little unsure that was the sound I was looking for. Being a gear head I know that it will take a little bit for things to break in and the true sound to come out. As I drove home the sound became what I was looking for. Paul wanted me to call him when I got home to let him know what I thought. I said to him (jokingly) that I hated it and he needed to do something about it and to my surprise he said bring it back and we will get it right. I truly love the way it sounds. The sound is exactly what I was looking for. I went here today on my lunch break. I thought I had lost a clamp as part of my exhaust was hanging down (but rattling -still connected). They got me in right awa y(I had no apt and they were busy) and spent about 15-20 mins fixing it. I was actually nervous at first as I saw the mechanic with the blow torch as I thought it was just a bolt- In any case he came out and told me it was just the heat plate (or something) and I was all set. He did not even charge me! I will go back to them whenever I need something and I will refer anyone I can ! read more

I went in to have Lou's look at my flex pipe that was failing and just expected them to be able to tell me what's wrong and give me a price. They brought me out to the car and showed me what was wrong and explained it to me while we were looking at the car. I was actually referred to this awesome shop by another great mechanic (who shall remain nameless) and I am so glad I went.
