I was 38 weeks pregnant and in need of a prenatal massage since I was so uncomfortable. I saw Melissa's info. on Instagram and immediately reached out to see if she did prenatal massages. She replied back pretty quick and turns out she did! Ive had two previous prenatal massages (when my tummy was a bit smaller). Both times I was asked to lay in the belly position where there was a cushion to support my belly. I definitely prefer side laying and so glad MC Studio offered that. Melissa provided a relaxing massage and definitely alleviated a lot of discomfort I had. She ask thorough questions prior to my massage and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole time. Melissa will find and release knots, which is painfully satisfying (haha). she pays close attention to where she finds any tension and works to ease the muscles at your comfort. the following day or even sometimes that night, i can feel where she has needed to use more pressure - it's a good type of sore like when you went hard at the gym. if she was unable to release knots or feels like a specific area needs more tlc, she'll let you know when you should come back in and finish what she started. which i really appreciate and it shows she truly cares about your body. Melissa adds aromatherapy to her treatments (harmonize is my fave) and hot towels which is sooooo relaxing. i have been loyal to Melissa for three years and will continue to see her because she understands my line of work and takes care of my muscles. my bae has been seeing her as well. It's so hard to find a good masseuse and Melissa is hands down the BEST! I had a prenatal massage from her over the weekend and I haven't felt that relaxed in a long time. I've had a few massages from Melissa & they've all been great! She has a comfortable table & head rest, plays soothing music, provides hot towels, & offers aromatherapy. But the best part, her hands are amazing! & stronger than you can imagine. She can definitely do a deep-tissue, but can also be soft if you need her to. I had a prenatal massage when I was 38 weeks pregnant & my daughter came 4-5 days after! She offers side laying which I prefer more than being propped in a belly pillow. & unlike other masseuses I've had during a side-laying prenatal massage, she can still work on you effectively! Melissa is amazing! My job requires me to be on my feet and a desk for long periods of time throughout the day. I'm also a little top heavy so you can imagine I've developed a lot of tight spots/knots on my back, shoulder, neck, legs and feet.
