So, I'm normally not one to leave reviews but I have to commend the general manager for his composure, grace and professionalism tonight. The staff were great and very attentive despite an unruly, insulting, and demeaning customer but again, I would be remiss if I did not aggrandize the patience of the GM. Disappointed by my recent visit to the NYC Flagship Store. Customer experience doesn't seem to be a priority. I'm a longtime Hugo Boss purchaser, their clothes work well for my build and travel schedule. The store felt understaffed on a Thursday early evening after work. Inventory for blazers was very low too, just a few to select, most out of season. I placed one blazer on hold with the sales rep as I had to make a quick meeting nearby. When I returned an hour later he didn't even recall our convo, and simple tailoring was a 2 week lead time (I don't live in NYC, and was returning later next week). Rep wouldn't work with me. I passed and bought the same item online from Bloomingdales.com for a better price. If corporate Hugo Boss is controlling costs, I'd close this location and save on the high rent. A lackluster CX is doing harm to your brand. read more

Great experience. The hubs is difficult to shop for. Not only that, but difficult to shop for EVEN WHEN HE TAKES THE TIME TO TRY ON CLOTHES IN SHOPS. What do I mean? I mean, something will fit okay in the store, but when he gets home it just fits, well, different. And apparently, irritating. So, even when something is tried on in-store, it doesn't mean it is going to work for him. Enter Hugo Boss. One of the few designers that actually works for the hubs on a regular basis (jumping for joy here, can you see it?). We encountered Isaac on our initial visit here and he was infinitely patient while we searched for a sport coat. We found one that worked, and went with it. The sleeves needed to be shortened slightly, so we paid and arranged for a good time to come back and pick up the coat. Fast-forward to Tuesday, and we are there to pick up the coat. It is Isaac's day off, but we were greeted warmly by another woman and helped immediately. Great service all around, and I would highly recommend heading for Hugo Boss if you have (or are) a gentleman who can be challenging to shop for. read more

Super cute store, on the much quieter and less crowded Greene Street. We were greeted promptly upon entering the store by both people working, and they were very very nice. We were offered energy drinks or waters, and we each gladly took a water while we were shopping. As we were trying on stuff the girl associate, who was absolutely adorable, was always offering suggestions and showing us stuff that was not on display to see if we were interested. She was very knowledgable about the clothes and very nice. We left the store with two-button down shirts and a nice pair of jeans and were very pleased the the selection and level of service. Will definitely visit on my next NYC trip. For those looking for the cheaper (and notably larger) collection of Boss Black, that store is just a few streets over and has other things such as underwear and socks, leather goods, etc over there. read more

So I'm swimming like a fish in Soho. Just swimming because I like the atmosphere of Soho on a nice mild chilly day. Like a fish, I am swimming with all the other fishes but I decide to head down Greene Street where less of the other fishes swim. Around I see less of the branded hooks trying to lure me in. Except I discover the Hugo Boss hook, I didn't know it was there. What made me bite in was not the mannequins in their smooth suits or stylish shoes. But I saw a sharp, black in chrome, leather duffel bag. The ones you see in movies where there's bundles and bundles of cash in it, but smoother. I'm a fan of Hugo Boss, I have a small collection in my closet and my main brand of cologne is also Hugo Boss. I like the way the brand makes me feel, so I go in just to check out what chef Hugo Boss can create of me: sushi or a fish taco. I like the decor of the place. It's simple and sleek. I been to the one on Prince Street (which has a different selection in style) and a few others including one in Europe. I think this one matches the style of Soho. The selection it carries is not that broad but has more to choose from than if you went to Bloomingdale's. Each category of bottom wear to a nice dress shirt or jacket fits for a nice dinner or event. Is it worth the visit if you're in the area and looking for a fashionable piece people can tell it's good quality but doesn't scream obnoxious. Yes, it's Hugo Boss and it's pricey and it's from Soho! The sales associates are pleasant, both had a good welcoming assistable character to them. read more

I am going to give Boss a 4 star. I work in a field (Client services) where image and appearance is everything. I prefer shirts from Zegna, Thomas Pink and Gitman Brothers. To be honest, I never really walked into Boss store, even though I go to SoHo all the time. Yes, I realize that statement came off pretentious but this is NYC after all. Anyway, I came in here to get a nice dress shirt and pants before a cocktail party. I came away impressed. I bought a white oxford with a pointed collar and a pair of tan chinos to match a Zegna jacket. The saleslady was incredibly helpful (Lisa, I believe) and she showed me some stuff from their spring selection that wasn't in store yet. This is a good store with helpful employees The prices are equivalent to other dress stores in SoHo, but the quality feels better. Yes, this isn't a bespoke, but the quality is good for the price. read more

I am always aimlessly wandering in some neighborhood killing time and went in. I have always been a fan of Hugo Boss since I am a big dude and the stuff fits right. There is not a point of ranting on about prices, because well it is obvious. Not terribly expensive, but pricey for those who do not know. This store has a generous selection for the size of it. I was there on Saturday with my BIL and spent substantial amount of money. When got home I was missing Socks and was charged incorrectly for one of the shirt. When I called store today to inquire about the mistakes were made by the staff. Christina told I still got the better discount and one of the shirt in question was not on sale but it was on the table with other shirts! Christina told me that shirt was left at the display by the customer, which is not true because there were same kind other 2 shirts at table!!! Was pleasantly surprised. I usually don't like Hugo Boss stores, I only went in because I saw a jacket in the window that I really liked and have been looking for a jacket of that type for a long time. Staff was helpful and friendly - turns out the one in the window was the only one they had. It only took them a few minutes to find that out and take it down for me to try on. As others have mentioned the store is small with limited selection, but I thought the stuff they had was good. Also I am a very small guy so it's hard to find off-the-rack clothes that fit but I was able to here, so that's a big bonus to someone like me. read more

I came here a few weeks back looking for a nice polo. Upon entering i was not greeted but, i guess that not the end of the world. The store had a very good lay out, clean sleek and also had a good selection. I looked around for a bit but, no one asked me if i needed help. After walking around I saw something i wanted and took it to the counter. Check out was classy. The guy at the counter asked me if anyone helped me, i said no. After hearing this he clearly was irritated and turned up the customer service. He asked me a bit about myself and recommenced some other items. After paying he put my items in the bag, came around the counter, gave me the bag in my left hand then shook my right hand and said thank you. Store staff could of been a bit more attentive but, overall its cool shopping spot with good selection. read more

This Hugo Red outpost in Soho is much smaller than the uptown locations but does have the full red, younger-edgier-Hugo Red line. I would say i love it, but you can totally find the same current season gear discounted at filenes basement, saks, etc. Nonetheless, there's always that one piece, like last seasons gold loafers (they were siiiick) that sell out immediately or are Hugo store only pieces...worth checking out, once... read more

Do not every try to fix your suit after purchasing the suit here. We bought the wedding suit here and made an alteration and they did a terrible job. The shoulder pad is away from the body and the center back is curved like you have a golf ball inside if your shoulder. We bought another suit previously and have to fix for 4 times to get it right. During the time 6 month passed and when we got our suit back the season was changed. It is a terrible place and don't ever believe they will do a better job for you because there is no way. read more

I purchased some t-shirts from Boss in Soho. At $85 each I do not think I am being unreasonable in asking Boss to put a label in that is not such dreadful quality that it irritates the wearer -- if they spent an extra 10 cents the t-shirts would be wearable. I cut the labels out but will not buy these again. I contacted Boss through their web site "Contact us" section. They did not give me the courtesy of an answer. So I wrote again and once more they did not respond. Clearly Boss are only concerned about taking our money - so I will not buy anything from them again. read more

This review is NOT for this store but for the store on 555 Broadway, which for some reason is not on Yelp. Perhaps it's closed down, which wouldn't surprise me. A little while ago, I bought a suit there, but never again. The saleswoman was great. Really patient, knowledgeable. The tailor is a prick. He was unprofessional from the start, rushed through the fitting. When I commented to him and the saleswoman that the lapel on the jacket wasn't laying flat against my body like it should, he said "You should buy a bigger size, then," and walked off. The saleswoman was clearly taken aback and apologized. How any store that fancies itself to be an upper end clothing store, and charge the prices they do would hire someone like him is beyond me. It was a weekend, so maybe he was pissed that he had to work on a Saturday. I really don't care. there's no excuse for this. HB corporate, you need to check out this store and correct things. This guy is a liability to your bottom line. read more

I actually bought my first hugo boss here. I became addicted since then. David was very helpful and very concerned with my style and my need. I came in the store just to look around, not trying to buy anything. I never paid more than 100$ for a dress. Only wanted to see how a hugo boss dress would look on me. Outstanding store. My husband and I had been wandering all over Soho shopping on a short getaway vacation. We popped into Hugo Boss to see if my husband liked anything. Jeffrey approached us and jumped on it. He was fantastic and coaxing my husband into some great clothes worked with us for a long time. I wanted to try on women's clothes but my husband wanted me to give him advice, and I was too tired to walk back and forth so Jeffrey arranged a room for us both to try on clothes. He ran to look for the exact shoes I thought my husband should buy. When we started running late for our plane, and the tailor had not returned (free tailoring!) Jeffrey pinned the clothes themselves (they arrived already - perfect!). Then when we left it was raining and he ran up and down the street in the rain working to get us a cab. Really - is this New York or Disneyland??? I can't say enough about Jeffrey and the Soho Boss - it will be on our regular NY shopping plan from now on! read more
