3.5 Stars I stopped by for some caffeine on a long layover. I was attracted by the cozy coffee shop vibes. Pros: -The decor is SUPER cute, it is like a ski lodge with lots of photos of cute puppies everywhere -Lots of nice cushions and chairs to sit in -The matcha latte with almond milk ($7+) was sweet and creamy. Cons: -Staff was pretty grumpy / non-attentive. When I asked for skim milk I got a gruff "we only have whole milk." I get it though, how fun could working in an airport be? -Pricey! Again, I'm blaming this to being in the airport. They had some yummy looking pastries on sale too. Overall, I would come again :) read more

Little coffee shop located in the SLC library. The woman working the counter was very friendly. We got an Arnold Palmer because we needed something refreshing. It was exactly what we needed. They have danishes and muffins and a few other items. read more

Who doesn't love a dog-friendly coffee shop? My friend and I came to support the Rescue Rovers fundraiser. We both ordered a coffee and split a breakfast sandwich. Everything was okay -- not the best but not terrible. There is plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. The service was good and the tables were all very clean. If you're in the area, I would recommend giving Hugo Coffee Roasters a try. read more

The spot was cute, convenient, and very clean! More than that, their options were delicious and satisfying for every palette! Hugo is in the A terminal, and I usually fly out of B but I'll go out of my way to grab coffee from Hugo because of their mission to support animal rescues and that they're local. Great decor and seating. Coffee drinks are ok- most recently I got the cherry vanilla latte which didn't have a lot of flavor. I also got a breakfast sandwich: turkey egg cheese croissant. It was good but I was kind of surprised it was lunchmeat style turkey. Service is fast. Grab some of their bagged coffee to make at home or as a gift to whoever you're visiting. Their location in Park City is much better, but that's typical of airport locations! read more

I was at the airport and had purchased a not-so-good Chai Latte from another vender, and felt that I still needed to find a good one. I saw the sign for Hugo down the concourse and headed right over. The fact that their spokesman was a dog was all I needed to support this business. The decor was everything a dog lover could want to make me feel welcome. There was even a patron in front of me who brought their dog in to get their coffee fix. The icing on the cake is that the business supports animals in need. I ordered and waited while they made my Chai Latte. I was able to check out all the dog decor and learn about the charitable options. Once I got my drink, I sat down the relaxed for a few minutes. I enjoyed my experience and returned again the next time I was at the airport. read more

Ordered a skinny vanilla chai. Got a chai. When I asked if it was mine because I didn't receive a number or a receipt the girl just walked away. I asked another worker if it was mine as it was the wrong order and I was told take it. It was so hot I couldn't even hold it with a sleeve on. Tasted like water with chai. It was horrible. And had a point of cinnamon on top. My muffin was tasty though. read more

There are a few things in life that bring me joy; coffee, dogs and travel are at the top of that list. Hugo Coffee Roasters checks those boxes by serving me coffee in an airport and supports dogs. Yes! The décor is inviting with larger than life pictures of dogs and brightly colored walls. It's a place I enjoy hanging around. However, since I'm here to catch a flight, I'll enjoy my drink and be on my way-hopefully to somewhere exotic! Service was terrific and the blueberry muffin was outstanding. When I visited the location in Terminal A, the majority of coffee drinks were unavailable due to their machinery being broken. The only drink I could get was a cup of drip coffee. The coffee was absolutely the worst I have ever had. It was so bad, I walked back through two terminals to let them know they shouldn't serve it. I told the person working that it was terrible and shouldn't be served. Something was really wrong with it. I handed back my full cup and asked her to throw it out. I was not offered a refund or other accommodation. Big fail. If you like drinking battery acid with a hint of burnt asparagus, you might enjoy it more than I did. Good luck. . read more

I have been buying Hugo's coffee for years and absolutely jumped at the opportunity to visit this location while traveling through SLC airport. The coffee had amazing flavors for both caffeinated and decaf options. The iced latte was amazing! The service was quick and attentive. There were a nice amount of tables and areas to sit, with various adorable pictures of Hugo and friends on the walls. Merch was also adorable! read more

The decor and dine in design are nice but the coffee is absolutely horrible. It's really bitter. If you like Peet's coffee, then you'll like this place. But if you like coffee with more nuanced flavor and sweetness, find another place. read more

I went with the mega pork ramen and added black garlic oil, while my husband went with the tan tan men. While we waited, we watched as several other parties also arrived for a late dinner. Even though there was only one server, she was quite efficient. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive, and we were eager to dig in. We asked for chili powder on the side, which our server was a little confused about, but finally understood and brought us some in a little dish. I was a little surprised they didn't have the powder at each table like at other ramen restaurants I've been to. I immediately noticed the layer of oil (not the black garlic oil, the red oil) on top of both of our ramen. It was thicker than I would have liked, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and mixed it in with the rest of the broth. The flavor of the broth was fine. It was decent if this was your first experience with ramen, but as someone who has had plenty of top tier ramen spots in the Bay Area and Sacramento, the broth wasn't memorable. Honestly, the layer of oil was also what threw the balance off. The noodles were bouncy and chewy, and the meat was tender. My favorite cut was the pulled pork chashu. The egg was yolky but not as seasoned as a proper ajitama should have been. My husband had similar remarks about his tan tan men, but at least we agreed that both of our bowls, while not spectacular, were consistent and cohesive as dishes.
