I've eaten at HuHot numerous times over the last 15 years and always enjoyed it. While I had great service this time around, the restaurant is beginning to show its age and the cooks have lost some of their focus. While my food burned away on the grill, the kid playing with the water tried to reconstitute the burned sauces to pass the time. I'll try again in the future but this time around it just wasn't up to par.

A disclaimer to start: this is very similar to a place in Columbus that I used to love very much, so there may be some subconscious comparisons made. That being said. This is a nice little place. A decent price for an all you can eat. As stated earlier, there was a Mongolian place in Colunbus I really loved, but instead of unlimited it was one bowl as much as you can fill it. I feel the quality is a little less here. It wasn't "bad" or anything, but I also felt I could taste the "we need lots of food because it's all you can eat". I liked the sausage the best out of the protein I tried, and I definitely got some zing in whatever mad sauce combination I came up with. The option to add some hibachi at the end was a nice touch as well. I wasn't "wow'd" and it wouldn't be my first choice, but nothing is keeping me from coming back.

Honestly I can't say enough about HuHot. I love their food and enjoy that I can make it however I want and can go up as many times as I'd like. They are taking precautions for covid by putting gloves out when going through the line when picking the food you'd like in your bowl. The staff is very friendly and always willing to describe how the restaurant works for people who have never been.

Hmmm For the money it's cheap - 4.5 stars on price alone Frozen ingredients, you organize yourself, guy hacks them on the open grill a few times and gives them back to you, nice gal gets you drinks Faux Mongolian paint scheme All you can eat of self serve frozen ingredients - "cooked" for less than $16.80 a head I've tried this format when the ingredients were all fresh Once and done on the FROZEN version

Was hungry and wanted something different. This restaurant was in walking distance from Super 8 hotel where I stayed the 4th of July. This is a great concept. Instead of eating what the restaurant prepares, you gather all the ingredients you like as if you are the chef at home and take the bowls to the grill for the cooks to cook the food. It's all you can eat, so go back as often as you like. This is especially great for teens and 1st dates. Guys, take your girl out here instead of a fast food restaurant, and show her you are not cheap without breaking your bank account.

I expected more but the food even if its your own making doesn't taste any good ..the sauces are very mild so it doesn't do much .i had to let go of my food and make myself another which didn't taste any better

Love being able to pick my food choices and sauces to create a healthier meal when eating out. Without the fear of not knowing what you're eating

    Just like that

Saw a few reviews and wanted to try this. What is good. 1. This is a fairly large spacious place 2. Doesn't smell of food as I expected 3. Service was not bad 4. Eat as much as you feel like Certainly the following is what make the experience poor 1. The carpet was not very clean 2. The grill area had a sticky floor, could have been better 3. There were too many sauce options, but they lacked flavor 4. The cold veggies could have been better cut and put better 5. Tofu was watery and didn't look appealing Overall for the price it didn't make a lot of sense.

The floor area through the cook line is sticky for sure but, this is caused by people spilling the sauces out of their bowls and then track it through the line.

The fact that they have survived in this location so long is a tribute to their hard work and dedication to consistently providing good-quality food and customer service. Our family includes a couple of people with significant allergies and one picky eater who won't eat Chinese food UNLESS it's from this restaurant. China Wok's owners take allergies seriously and have always been attentive to making sure problematic ingredients and cross-over contaminants are avoided. Their menu includes all the standard American Chinese dishes, and, even without special requests, theirs taste fresher and lighter - vegetables fresh and crisp, no excessive or stale oil, no blackened eggrolls or crab rangoon, not loaded with MSG. If you're looking for some of the best Chinese food in the Appleton/Menasha/Neenah area, give them a try! We look forward to chatting with this nice family and enjoying their food for years to come.

I've never had a messed up order, the order is always ready on time, and twice the owner has given a free crab rangoon or two with our orders because we are regulars. I really hope that they succeed and stick around, because this is the only place we order chinese carry out from anymore.
