This restaurant has a modern design with neutral colors and large windows. You can order rice, salads, kids items, and apps from your table. But the main dining option is make your own stir fry and the cooks grill it. Grab a bowl and go through a buffet line adding ingredients into the bowl. You can make as many as you want. Pro tip use two bowls for your first trip. It's about the size of a normal large entree. Dinner is $16.49 Detailed list of ingredients: -Carbs: Noodles, rice, -Meats: Sausages, beefs, mussels, shrimp -Veggies: mushroom, bamboo shoots, broccoli, jalapeño, beans, bean sprouts, etc. -Misc: pinnacle, cilantro, beans, eggs -Asian inspired sauces include 12+ different sauces. -Plus oils and broths. These are make or break. The ingredients seemed fresh and cold and clean. The overall quality is limited by what you put in your bowl so hard to rate the food. I should have put oil in mine. I would rather go somewhere else for the price unless I could eat 3 bowls by skipping a meal. Also I would not recommend this type of eatery if you are crutches. Specifically if friend had foot surgery and seeing them for the first time in weeks, invite them to a only sit down only place.

Dirty dried food all along the wi Dow

The place was filthy. Dried food and paper all along the front window of booths. When I pouted it out to the waitress she said," I only work Mondays,so I don't know who was supposed to clean it this weekend". WHAT??? Ewww

I love HuHot. It's my favorite restaurant. The best one by far is the Lake Delton location. We went to the West Allis location & had to wait a little longer to get seated, because it looked like there was only 1 server which is absolutely no problem, I get it. It was just the actual food part that upset us. They were cooking it on such a high temp that my pad tai noodles were a little chewy & the sauce kinda just burnt to the grill (I use 6-9 ladles). There was pork or beef in the chicken spot the second time I went up too. The staff were really nice. We've been here a few times. This time just wasn't the best.

Great experience at HuHot last night for dinner with friends! They have many noodle, rice, seafood, and meat options available. The vegetables were fresh and well stocked. Sauce options were endless! They chefs were efficient and friendly! Overall great experience!

All you can eat Mongolian Grill. They had a lot of options of protein, vegetables, noodles, and tons of sauces. This is a great place to go and try different combinations and flavors of stir fry! The counters with the food options were clean and well stocked. After you pour several ladles of sauce (they have lots of options and even suggestions of combinations to try) in your bowl you get in line and they pour your food on a hot grill. I enjoyed watching them cook right in front of me and the grillmasters were very friendly and professional. It is all you can eat, so you can't bring leftovers which is kind of a bummer. I also loved all the options but the meats aren't the highest quality -- they are pretty thin so they dry out easily. Good restaurant for a quick and tasty stir fry though!

Are you looking for a reasonably priced meal for you or a group at lunch or dinner? Do you like designing your own meal without anyone getting in the way or having it be too complicated? Same here! At HuHot, you get a bowl to start with (1 of as many as you can stomach) and load that baby up with meats, veggies, toppings and of course, sauce. They have a ton of sauce choices and some are for all, some are not for the faint o heart. Take the 5 flame level sauce seriously... seriously. I watched someone cry while eating their food because it was so spicy!! Haha. Anyways. This is a cool spot for a cheap dinner with a ton of food.

It's embarrassing to admit having eaten here as an Asian American, but my ha'ole friend loves these places. Here's how to enjoy a visit here, and I do actually recommend you visit here. Do not even begin to imagine you are visiting an Asian restaurant. There's nothing Asian about this place, unless you're also going to consider Italian American restaurants as Asian since pasta was invented by the Chinese. They invented the printing press, toilet paper, the sit down toilet, gun powder, rocket science, charcoal, and bureaucracy as well so by that standard, all restaurants are "Asian." There's nothing authentically Mongolian here. If you can get that clear, and it's not hard because they don't really make the pretense of being authentic, and there's no racist stereotyping like you find in those ethnocentric "Hibachi Japanese" Benihana genre places. What you will find is a very clean restaurant that at the height of Covid 19 and in a high denier suburb is practicing very safe distancing, masking, glove wearing, and cleaning procedures. You pick the ingredients for your American stir fry, and I repeat, don't make the mistake of thinking there's anything authentically Asian (which is a whole continent and a race category, not a singular ethnic group) about the ingredients or sauces, wearing gloves, and at a safe distance you take it to a young White grill chef who embellishes with a little fancy White diner style showmanship on a distant cousin of the Teppan grill. Upon request you can get a bowl of plain steamed white rice, and I've had worse at pseudo-Asian "fusion" restaurants. Don't make the mistake of ordering green tea, you'll get a mug of hot water and a Lipton tea bag, ugh. The food is pretty good if you're not expecting authentic Cantonese or Mongolian, and the service is excellent for a restaurant in this price range. And even for a curmudgeon like me, the place is fun. Don't under tip if you visit during the ongoing Pandemic, there's lots of extra work for the staff and they are doing it.

I should have eaten at Sze Chuan ages ago. I was told it was amazing. I even lived very near to it…read morein the past. It's been on my list, but I didn't go. That was an error. The restaurant is in a tucked away strip mall and is modest in size and decor. The strip mall also contains hidden treasures like a Chinese bakery/BBQ and an Asian store. We went early on a Saturday evening with friends. The service was excellent, although with some staff there were language hurdles. No matter - everyone made it work and we were left with an abundance of amazing food at a reasonable price. Wine and beers are served, as well as smoothies and other non-alcoholic drinks. BF ordered crab rangoon as a starter, which was good. He liked it more than I did, but it was nice and crispy. I just didn't think it compared to other dishes. My vegetable egg roll was very good as well, but nothing terribly unique. He went bold on the entree and ordered the pork intestine and blood cake dish. He really enjoyed it and said it was quite spicy. The portions are generous and he did bring a lot home. I ordered the homestyle tofu, which normally has pork. I got it without to make it vegetarian friendly. The textures were very good and the sauce was intensely flavorful, but mild. I also ordered a supplementary dish of braised mushrooms and Shanghai greens. Everyone at the table enjoyed this dish, particularly the greens, which are a variety of bok choy, called pac choy. The mushrooms were wonderful, with the texture of wood ears. I also had plenty of leftovers to eat the next day. Our friends ordered the Szechuan spicy pork dumplings and they got rave reviews. My cousin did say they were not overly spicy. She went on to order the sizzling black pepper beef, which she said was good, but not nearly as unique or deeply flavored as the other dishes. Her husband ordered the pork intestine with clear noodles, which he enjoyed but said was extremely spicy. He did leave a lot of sauce behind since it was so hot. He also had the ox tendon and maw in spicy sauce, which came with chopped peanuts on top. He seemed really pleased with that dish. We agreed that we would happily go back to explore the menu more. Everything was excellent and I thought the prices were generally quite reasonable, especially for the quantity of food. I do wish the menu had more descriptive text, so I could familiarize myself with the dishes. The choices are many and overwhelming and the menu is huge. I'd also love to see a symbol for vegetarian options since it's very hard to know otherwise and many of the vegetable dishes included pork or other meat. As we left the restaurant was getting increasingly busy with people waiting by the door for seats. This is a popular place for good reason.

The Spicy Pork Dumplings have become my go-to appetizer, and the fried spring rolls are also very good. On a most recent visit, we ordered hot pot. Our server brought us the sheet to make our selections. You can choose from mild broth, spicy broth, or half tray of each. The spicy is pretty hot with lots of red chili peppers soaking in it, so I scooped out the chili peppers to keep rhe flavor but lessen the impact on my palate. For 2 guests, I recommend choosing 3 items from the list, maybe 2 protein and one veggie or 2 veggie and one protein to start. You can order more if you finish and need more. This is in addition to the two appetizers you will choose, which is included with rhe hot pot dinner. It's a great value! Sze Chuan remains on my short list of go-to's for Chinese dining, and I look forward to my next visit, whenever that may be.

I thought today that I would visit my old friend and even though I have been around the world with the menu that dam general Taos chicken dinner combination is my favorite. The general Taos chicken combination comes with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken is always big moist chunks of tender velveted chicken which I can't tell if it's white or dark meat because of the velveting process but I like it. The egg roll isn't the tiny ones that became the norm over the years and it's super average like 95 % of Asian restaurants now, not like years past when the egg roll was a signature staple in Asian restaurants and they made really good ones. The combination chicken fried rice is that kind you find on most combination menus, not the main dish dark fried rice full of meat and veggies but just enough to accompany the main dish. Overall it's tasty enough and better than the average neighborhood Chinese restaurant and for a dinner combination that was 2 1/2 pounds of food for $13.50, price vs quality vs taste it's a winner.
