Burnt chicken lettuce wraps
Joyita B.

Terrible terrible decision to try this out. I knew I don't like this chain but wanted to give it another fair chance. It reminded me why I hated this place in the 1st place. We got the lettuce wraps , the chicken was over cooked and even burnt. I mean, there is charred and there is simply burnt, unfortunately this was the later. A single boiled egg has more flavor to it than the egg drop soup. You can't compensate by drowning it in soy sauce, we had to leave it. The Singapore noodles tasted flat and drenched in turmeric. It's very oily for being this tasteless. Finally, my miso glazed salmon, I had some hopes from but it was also very very bland and the miso don't come through, the salmon was decently the least flavorful salmon I've ever had the misfortune to taste. The only redeeming factor for which I gave it 2 stars was the service. The poor servers are so unaware of how bad the food tastes or I like to think so. I suggest the kitchen does a taste test before the food leaves the kitchen. Highly disappointed.

This is the second time I've been to a PF Chang's, more than a decade in between. I remember really loving the orange chicken. Going back for a second time after a long time left much to be desired. The food had good flavor, the presentation of the dishes seemed put together in haste. I also tried the lettuce wrap which was really good. I would highly recommend getting this if you come here, it's a must try. The noodle dish tasted okay too. If you're hungry, your taste buds may deem it savory and if you like a little crunch like pad Thai it has the texture of in between soft and crunchy. Service was good, our waitress was friendly, helpful, and tended to our needs. One of the napkins was not as clean as it should look at it had stains and our waitress replaced it with a cleaner one. It was during a weekend evening so it was not busy at all which is nice to have the place to yourself sometimes. We had extra fortune cookies for extra fortune. It's a decent place to sit and eat when you're craving Asian cuisine with good customer service.

Love the new Mocktail menu and the combo menu. Opted for the classic lettuce wraps. Portions are smaller than I remember, but still tasty. The new menu of the teriyaki bowl was different and not very "teriyaki "but it was still very good. Service was friendly and wonderful offering. Great suggestions.

The food is amazing. We had a reservation earlier for 12 people. The service was quite pretty good. Also, the ambience has very good vibe. Chicken dishes are really delicious and worth trying. All non-alcoholic drinks are free refills!!

This is going to be a pretty quick review compared to my normal ones. I placed an order to go on their website. It consisted of two egg rolls, which were $8.50 and absolutely not worth it because they tasted like they're out of a grocery store freezer section. I also ordered Northern style pork spare ribs for $14.50. They were on the salty side and came with six bones, two of which didn't have much meat on them. Those two items took 25 minutes to make, 10 minutes past the estimated pick up window, so I stood there watching people come in after me and get their food before me. The ribs tasted good, which is the only thing saving this from a one-star review. Certainly not good enough to spend $14.50 on them again, though.

Service was definitely top notch coming from a "chain restaurant " The food was definitely not top notch coming from a "chain restaurant". Depending on who's cooking the dishes could range from being way to salty to "noodles being overcooked " Prices are definitely on high side considering the economic impact that we're in Definitely would pick a small Asian restaurant that takes better pride in what they serve

The tuna and salmon was good, so good to the point I decided to go back a second time. The second time I went, I had a similar bowl and the proportions were better. However, the rice was somehow worse than the first time! The sauce drown everything else within, and I love sauce, but that was too much. I ended up not finishing the bowl at all which was a first. Overall pretty disappointed with the quality of this bowl. I hope better competitors from the east side and downtown travel this way to fill the void I was hoping Aloha could.

I had an incredible time at DanDan. Granted, it was because of my Chase CC that we got a prime time…read morereservation and the meal was essentially free due to Open Table credit, but honestly, we were so happy with our experience. I completely agree that this isn't authentic chinese food, but approachable fusion that tries to keep it truthful to the flavors and presentation. The highlight of the meal was the peking duck, which they only have about 2 orders of a night. We snagged it immediately when we sat down and it can easily feed 4 people with the sides. The duck was juicy and cut into thick pieces, so it was more of a steak rather than a bao style that I am used to. Nevertheless, it was delicious and even warmed up well the next day. The green onion wraps were...strange in my opinion. They fell apart easily and didn't have the best flavor that complemented the duck. Overall, I would come back for the duck itself, but everything else was average or extra salty. Service was great and the staff are very attentive. Happy eating!

Came for dinner to use my Chase Sapphire dining benefit at Dan Dan in the Historic Third Ward…read more Here's my honest take. The vibe: It was packed at 7:15 PM on a Sunday, and they held firmly to our reservation time--which is understandable given the crowd. We took a nice stroll while waiting, so no harm done. Once seated, the service was excellent--attentive, prompt, and professional. The food: This is clearly high-end Americanized Chinese food, not authentic regional cuisine. If you go in expecting that, you'll have a better experience. The menu reads like a "greatest hits" collection--familiar dishes done with nicer ingredients and presentation. What worked well: Smashed Cucumber - A strong start. The cilantro and bean sprouts were exceptionally fresh, and the peanut finish added nice depth, though the sauce leaned a bit salty for my taste. Service and atmosphere - polished and efficient. What fell short for me: Wonton Soup - The wrappers were thicker than I prefer; I like a more delicate, translucent skin. The leek-based broth was pleasant, though. Salt & Pepper Cod - The seasoning was good, but the cod pieces were too thick, so the center remained bland. Halving the thickness would improve the texture. Mongolian Beef - Tender meat, but I wanted thicker cuts and larger onion pieces for more bite. It leaned a bit soggy for my preference. Rice Cake with Pork Belly - Pork belly was well-executed, but too many rice cakes overwhelmed the dish. The flavor leaned Korean (almost kimchi-like), which felt like a departure from the rest of the menu. Beef Chow Fun - Felt repetitive, using the same thin-sliced beef and bean sprouts as other dishes. I'd prefer charred broad rice noodlesthat are thin. These rice sticks were wide and thick,so like the cod, the center of the rice sticks were bland. I also preferred more eggs in this dish for variety. The overall pattern: Many dishes share similar ingredients and sauce profiles, which makes sense for a busy kitchen but does reduce variety across the meal. Bottom line: If you're looking for authentic, nuanced Chinese cooking, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want a polished, upscale version of familiar Chinese-American favorites in a great location, with reliable service, Dan Dan delivers that well. I personally wouldn't return, but I can see why it's popular--especially for the crowd that wants comfort food in a nicer setting.

But luckily my husband quickly checked well before we were served and saw there were reservations available online, so he booked us one on the spot. We were then given two excuses, one by the bartender and a different one by the host as to why they couldn't honor the reservation: (1) there were no tables available for us (note the place was half empty, but we supposed maybe there were lots of reservations coming later--nope, the place was still half full by the time we left); (2) we had to make the reservations 30-40 minutes in advance and we didn't do that so even though we did have a reservation, they couldn't honor it because we made it too soon to the reservation time (WOW--complete BS). We were peeved but decided we should just enjoy our dinner. BUT as we were finishing up, about 5 couples came in WITHOUT a reservation and both the host and the bartender gave each couple the option to either sit at the bar or at a table. When I confronted the bartender about it, she claimed "they weren't supposed to do that." WHAT?! She literally just offered a couple a table without a reservation. What do you mean?! It was insulting. Anyway, we will absolutely NEVER come back here. The tip we left was solely for the kitchen staff who were hard at work and doing an honest job. Bartender and hosts are discriminatory and awful. Do NOT recommend if you are looking to be treated with respect. Would give zero stars if that were an option.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic!…read more We were greeted immediately when we walked in. The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon, so the greeter gave us some menus and let us know we could order and he'd find a table for us ASAP. We got to the counter and the cashier told us it would be a 45 minute wait. We accepted this and ordered anyway. We picked a curry, a noodle dish, and a Thai beer each. The cashier was very friendly. The original greeter found us a table almost immediately after we paid and mentioned the beer is especially nice over ice, so we took his recommendation. Beers came quickly, but food did take at least a half hour, as the cashier mentioned. Table and dining room were clean and nicely decorated with warm lighting and relaxing music. Bathrooms were also clean. Food was very good and flavorful. The portions were decent. We were full, ate most of our dishes, and didn't take anything home. The original greeter came back and checked on us while we were eating. Service was fantastic throughout the experience. The food was pricey, but aligns with other Thai restaurant prices in the area. I got the small and honestly... it was more than enough. Super filling for the price and didn't leave me feeling heavy after My favorite part was easily the garlic butter fried rice substitute that extra $ was SO worth it. It tied the whole bowl together and gave it that rich, savory flavor that made everything hit harder ‍ The crispy chicken was crunchy and coated in their garlic aioli, which was flavorful + creamy, but also kinda different than anything I've tasted before. I even liked the salad The dumplings were good, the sauce that came with it was different, almost tasted sweet. 5/5 Would definitely order again, especially for that garlic butter rice.
