Chicken fried rice, mushroom egg fo young and white rice and gravy. Delish
    Patti G.

Had a fast pick up dinner today. We have our staple favorites here. The mushroom egg foo young(3) and chicken fried rice. Both were hot and packed with flavor. To eat there at the location is not something I would do. The inside isn't much to speak off. I believe most of their business is take out. We enjoyed our food so much we didn't snap a picture before we gobbled it up. We frequent here often for these items. We really enjoy them. The total of our bill is $16.40 foehose 2 items. Not the cheapest food ever, but tasty and enjoyable. Wanting to add a special #thankyouthursday note for being a small local place that is always here to make us some delish food that's close to home. We appreciate you!!!! 5/14/2020

I was in the mood for a combination lunch plate because I just like the well rounded egg roll, fried rice and a main dish because it's very satisfying like the equivalent of American comfort food. The place is in a strip mall and very dumpy with tables but carry out is probably your best option and that's what they were doing looking at the bags of take out lined up. The menu is huge but the special combination plate sweet and sour pork with pork fried rice and a pork egg roll sounded good so that's what I ordered. The food came out fast and hot in about 10 minutes, I love cooked to order food so thank you. The sweet and sour pork take out had the separate sauce container so no mushy pork, thank you. The pork egg roll was pretty good and better than average but not that great egg roll which I liked. The pork fried rice was dark looking which usually means tasty fried rice, the light colored fried rice is usually not that great. The pork fried rice was tasty with the red bbq pork and regular pork mixed with onions and scrambled eggs that had a seasoned wok flavor. The sweet and sour pork was tasty with a nice pork flavor and a nice crispy shell, I sparsely used the sauce so I could taste the pork and not drowned sweet sauce. This place totally satisfied my craving for a combination plate with fresh hot cooked to order food that was better than the average Chinese spot.

    Clean, simple.

Nice family run Chinese American restaurant. Clean, fast, I've liked the orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, sweet and sour pork, the usual Chinese American neighborhood sort of place. I always pick up.

Would never eat inside the restaurant. The takeout was okay, but the orange chicken to rice ratio was way off. Less chicken, more rice.

That kind of freaked me out though. I don't like cucumber, so i took the cucumber out of the sushi, and i didn't finish an egg roll because it was too chewy (not crunchy at all). That didn't seem to be a problem. I didn't try everything. I liked the noodles I got. The sushi was decent (I had the cooked sushi). They had a nice selection of desserts. My friend said she'll come back with her kids. I don't think I will. I'd rather have everything cooked fresh. The fried things I tried (gyoza and eggrolls) were too chewy, they didn't taste bad, but the texture was off. The exception was the rangoons, they were crispy. The desserts were ok. The best was the prepackaged ice cream. I'm glad i tired l tried it. It looked like the families with kids were really enjoying it. I'm sure, as a kid, I would have too.

My date had requested during the reservation to be seated by a window but they had us seated at a rounder and bigger table that felt a little goofy for two people to be seated in. But we asked our server, Aracely, if we would be able to move to the window seating and they helped arrange that for us. We decided to order the Crispy Fried Berkshire Pork Belly as our starter and the Grilled Whole Mediterranean Branzino and the Seafood Pappardelle as our main entrees. For drinks, we decided to get the cranberry kiss. Surprisingly, both of our dishes were pretty filling! The seafood Pappardelle, had lobster, scallops, shrimp, and octopus. It was on the heavier side, but the noodles that they paired with it, was absolutely amazing. The Branzino was nicely grilled, but wasn't dry on the inside. I was indifferent with the chimichurri sauce that was paired with it but the smashed potatoes and grilled asparagus was delicious. Overall, very delicious entrees.

We originally…read moretried a couple of other seafood spots, but they wouldn't seat our group with about an hour and a half left before closing. King Crab Shack was incredibly accommodating and let us make a reservation, which really saved the night. Walking in, I loved the coastal vibe. The fishing nets, nautical décor, wooden booths, and little crab details throughout the restaurant made it feel like you stepped into a seafood shack by the beach. It was clean, spacious, and had a fun atmosphere that fit the meal perfectly. One thing I thought was surprisingly clever was the vinyl bibs. Not only did they have an adorable crab printed on them, but they also had a pocket at the bottom to catch any seafood that inevitably falls while you're cracking shells. The gloves were a perfect touch too! It's a small detail, but it definitely came in handy! The menu had plenty of seafood options at different price points, whether you're looking for a smaller seafood boil or a feast for a group. We ordered two Combo #3s ($99.99 each), Combo #6 ($95.99), a pound of mussels ($18.99), and an extra order of snow crab clusters ($35.99). While seafood isn't cheap, the portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and it felt like a fair value for the quality and amount of food we received (table of 5). One thing to keep in mind is that the combo meals have set seafood combinations, so there isn't much flexibility to mix and match items. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us, but it's something worth knowing if you're hoping to customize your combo boil. We all chose the Garlic Butter Crazy Cajun seasoning at a medium spice level, and I highly recommend it. The garlic butter gave everything a rich, buttery base while the Cajun seasoning layered in smoky, savory slices with just the right amount of heat. The medium spice definitely lets you know it's there, but it never overpowered the seafood. Instead, it built gradually and complemented the natural sweetness of the crab, lobster, shrimp, mussels, and crawfish. Every bite was coated in flavor, and we found ourselves dipping everything into the extra sauce. The seafood itself was fresh and cooked well. The snow crab legs were a little difficult to crack, but once you were able to dive in, it was packed with sweet tender meat. The lobster tails stayed juicy instead of becoming rubbery, the muscles were plump, and the shrimp had a fresh bite. The corn, potatoes, and sausage, and eggs soaked up all of that delicious seasoning and honestly became just as enjoyable as the seafood. I also wanted crawfish, but no one else at the table wanted to order a whole pound. After mentioning it to our server, they were kind enough to bring me a couple crawfish on the side instead of making me purchase an entire order. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed they cared about making our experience enjoyable. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the seafood tools. They provided crackers and scissors, but they weren't very effective and made getting into the crab legs and lobster more difficult than it needed to be. A sturdier cracker and sharper seafood scissors would make the experience much smoother. Between the welcoming staff, fun atmosphere, fresh seafood, flavorful seasoning, and thoughtful customer service, this was a great place to celebrate a special occasion. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm craving a seafood boil.

Not as good as the other Vietnamese-Cajun seafood boils, though just as expensive. They often make…read moremistakes in orders, but I keep coming back because there really isn't much competition for this sort of seafood in town. There is a much better place in Madison.
