There are some cool metal sculptures here to check out. Depending on when you go, you might find some community gardening going on there. Unfortunately, there aren't any restrooms here, or even a picnic table. So it's a good park to stand around in. There are some beautiful flowers here, with a great rose garden! The gazebo here is really nice, with ivy growing over the top of it. It'd be a great place for a picnic or a concert. There is a bike rack, so it does make for a good bicycling meetup point, as the neighborhood around the park is good to bike in, with plenty of wide bike lanes and one-way streets.

On a nice day, you can grab your tacos and wander over here for an impromptu picnic. The only real focal point is the gazebo, but it's so nicely made that I've seen students using it as a backdrop for photography projects, and even a couple using it for their engagement photographs. The park itself is well maintained, with a community gardening area and even some art installations. Watch out for bicyclists in the area! It's a popular rest stop due to the proximity to restaurants and all of the surrounding streets have bike lanes.

With the weather being exceptionally nice in San Antonio I figured I should take advantage the dry nice air and eat outdoors. So I found this park and I am very pleased with it. They have a ton of stationary equipment you can use to workout with. Lots of walking and biking. Paved trails/roads. I really enjoyed the views. Not that many people out. Really beautiful day to be outdoors. I didn't notice many homeless people which was nice. Parks in San Antonio and downtown tend to be overrun by homeless people. Nothing against them at all but they usually bring the quality of the place they are at down. If you haven't been to this park you must check it out. Again it's kind of small but really nice none the less. I enjoyed it.

The park is largely triangle shaped, with a community garden at the far end of the park. This area used to be the place where the Brackenridge horse stables were, where you could go on a horse ride through the park, along a set trail throughout the park. But the stables are long-closed, and they've built apartments that overlook the Davis Park. The park over here is a lot more relaxed than Brackenridge, it's just a big grassy field for the most part. Good for team sports, or kite flying with lots of space to run free. Parking can be found if you park in the River Road neighborhood. If you cross the road, you can go down to the river that flows through here on down to the Riverwalk. The park feels safe, but is not lit at night. There are no major bike paths, just lots of grass. There are no restrooms here that I am aware of.

The park itself includes multiple sections for all ages including the main playground which was designed to be an inclusive space and follows the American Disabilities Act standards for public playgrounds. A new toddler play area which is perfect for babies and toddlers. There is also the Union Pacific splash pad which is only open during certain months of the year, so make sure to check their calendar for hours. They also have a sand play area, as well as another section with small games like ping pong, chess and many more games. Overall, this garden/park offers a wide range of outdoor activities for people of all ages. I've been taking my kid here since he was born and as he is growing and exploring new areas of Yanaguana I can truly see how well thought off this park is. To all the locals that don't travel to downtown too often, I would definitely recommend giving this park a chance before winter comes. Also, for all the tourists coming with little ones that need the space to run around for a couple of hours, this is most definitely the spot for you!

There's separate picnic tables by the Kimpton hotel side that's great for a quick meal too. Lots of splash pads and shaded areas with chairs for the parents to watch from a distance. Bathrooms aren't super clean but I think there's other spots less frequented where babies/toddlers can go for a quick change of clothes. Parking is going to be a challenge on the weekends but paid parking isn't too far away.
