Ferris dismissed the concerns and told me that my dentist was wrong. I've gotten two separate dentists opinions on it, and they both told me the same thing. Ferris Orthodontist continues to tell me that "the two other dentists were wrong and they have done it perfectly" (exact quote). They did not end up offering a solution and I felt like my thoughts and concerns were irrelevant to them. I felt disrespected and disregarded. Definitely not pleased with the service I payed for!

I instantly felt like something was not right. We go in every 6 months and have never heard anything before there was no "watch" on the teeth or any insight into how this could have happened other than it's common. No questions about the foods we eat or discussion on how to prevent more in the future. It was which cap do you want and when are you coming back. By the way each cap is over $500. So I decided to get a second opinion. We went to Dominion Pediatric Dentistry and they were amazing! They talked to us about changing out our gummy vitamins because that can cause cavities! They retook X-rays at no charge and couldn't find any cavities. We have a watch on one spot but nothing as bad as requiring a cap. She even spoke to us about a few options to do before a cap that are less invasive. I felt so much better and we will be going to Dominion Pediatric Dentistry going forward!

I signed up for their $299 yearly membership, which advertises 2 exams, 2 X-rays, 2 cleanings, and whitening pens. I don't have dental insurance and only needed a routine cleaning, so this seemed like a fair and straightforward option. Even though I had X-rays done last January, they insisted on taking their own because I was a new patient. Fine. I agreed because I just wanted my cleaning. After the X-rays, three different staff members came in saying, "I heard you have questions." I repeatedly said I had no questions -- I was simply waiting for the cleaning I came in for. Finally, the dentist came in and told me they "recommended" a deep cleaning. I explained that I understood their recommendation but was there for a regular cleaning. They then told me they would not provide a regular cleaning at all -- only the deep cleaning. So let me get this straight: I paid for a membership that includes cleanings, sat through an hour of exams and X-rays, and then they refused to provide the actual cleaning I scheduled unless I agreed to a more expensive procedure. To make matters worse, they required payment upfront before services were even provided. That should have been my first red flag. I understand dentists have to make clinical recommendations. But refusing to provide a basic cleaning that is included in the membership -- after collecting payment -- feels misleading and incredibly frustrating. I left without the service I paid for. If you are considering this office, be aware that you may be told you "need" a deep cleaning and that they will not perform a standard cleaning instead, even if that is what you scheduled and paid for. Calling to make an appointment was interesting. I guess they have a call center person that answers…read morefor all offices, but for some reason doesn't answer the phone after 3pm even though it says their offices close at 5pm. I've tried calling twice after 3pm and no one answers. I also got about 5 reminders of my appointment leading up to the actual visit. When I walked in, there's a clipboard that says to sign in, so I did that while the girl behind the desk sees me writing my name down. 10 minutes go by without her acknowledging that I signed the clipboard. Not to mention, another patient walks in and another front desk person says "you don't have to sign in, I'll just check you in myself". So I stand in line after them and when it was my turn, I say "I signed in on the clipboard but it doesn't seem like anyone is checking that". She asks me for my name and checks me in. I get called back shortly and Debbie sees that I'm pregnant and says "you're pregnant?" ... so I made this very clear when I called to make the appointment, as well as when I called to confirm the appointment. I also wrote in the online questionnaire about a month in advance. I'm guessing they don't read that because Debbie was surprised. She then asked me if I had medical clearance from my doctor. So I told her, "I was never told I needed anything from my doctor when I called to make my appointment and told them I was pregnant. Also when I filled out the questionnaire, no one called to tell me I needed this. It would've been nice to know since I was at my doctor's office this morning." I ended up sitting in the office for over an hour and ended up not having any work done at all. They kept me waiting until i decided I would just come back for my cleaning and filling. Then Debbie said "your doctor said it'll take up to 24 hours to get the form back". Then why am I still waiting here if you knew that? I'm wondering how long they would've kept me if I kept sitting there without saying anything. When I finally came back for my actual cleaning and made appointments for my family, they will bill EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN. They didn't even touch my one year old daughter's mouth, and even after insurance, I still had to pay almost $100 for them to just look at her for 2 mins. They're conveniently located off of I-10 eastbound with plenty of parking. The waiting area is spacious and clean. They have free Wi-Fi. The staff are top notch, from reception to hygienist to dentist. There are TVs to numb your mind in case the Novocaine isn't sufficient. Their hours are enticing and include Saturdays! If you have your dental cleanings performed here, they offer free teeth whitening. Normally, they require you to purchase dental trays, but I already had some, so they kindly offered the whitening kits regardless. Excellent!
