I am very please with The experience that I had with Hummel's Flowers. I live in Georgia. Our daughter who lives in Anchorage Alaska had to have emergency surgery and is in the hospital there. Hummel's Flowers was the only place that was willing to individualize a candy Bouquet for our daughter. I was able to pick out the exact candies that she loves to go into her specialized Bouquet Jessica was very personable and friendly over the phone. She did everything she could to make this very special for our daughter. Jessica was very accommodating with making the bouquet very special for our daughter. Being so far away. Jessica made it very personable and sent me a picture over my cell phone of what the Bouquet would look like. Then just before delivery she sent me a picture of the actual bouquet with our daughters favorite candies and snacks in a beautiful mug. Jessica even made it more special by including Allison's favorite color purple within the bouquet. It looked very beautiful and it was exactly what I wanted. I needed to order some flowers for a friend's Celebration of Life on this Saturday. I saw good reviews on yelp about Hummel's and decided to try it out. In the end, there were nine exquisite and carefully crafted flower arrangements waiting for me yesterday. All the flowers and materials used are very fresh and clean. I can tell they were made to last. Over 30 different types of flowers and greens were used in these arrangements. Mineko, the owner of Hummel's, was very accommodating and patient with me. She did a fantastic job making these flower arrangement. She even allowed me to pick up my flowers on the Saturday when the shop was closed. I will definitely come back. read more

I live in California and needed to send a delivery to a friend at Alaska Regional Hospital. I searched Yelp and this place had the best reviews...so I called them and spoke with Katherine/Catherine who helped me from beginning to end. She was super pleasant and very helpful and extremely accommodating! My friend in the hospital had his procedure later in the day and hadn't been assigned a room yet. Katherine/Catherine called the hospital several times to check on the room assignment. She was always a step ahead of me and knew what was going on. I appreciate her and I appreciate Hummel's. Crappy customer service. My family ordered flowers for my grandmother's funeral from here, so I thought I'd go and use them as well. There was a misunderstanding. My aunt thought she was told we'd only pay one delivery fee, as the flowers were going to one place. I had to go in on Saturday, because that's my day off. The lady there spoke to us rudely. I could understand it was a misunderstanding, but if we referred everyone to place their orders here, it would have ended up being at least $3000 of flowers. Not much to some, but I'm sure some florist would have appreciated the business. Plus, we could have been repeat customers and referred others. However, this employee tapped her fingers on the counter as if she was inconvenienced while I look through the books for my order. Never smiled once. I felt uncomfortable and as if I was a bother to her. So I did not place my order here and told my family members to order elsewhere. It wouldn't have been an issue to pay multiple delivery fees. But if you're going to be rude about it, then I'd rather pay someone else who smiles and doesn't rush me as I try to order flowers for my grandmother's funeral. There were no other customers and we were only there for about 15 minutes. read more

The flowers came out beautiful. The only thing that bothered us is that the price of the bouquet was negotiated with the owner to reflect the extra cost of stem dying a rose -- we received a spray died rose. We went in to ask about this but the employee that made the bouquet said that there is no price difference. We couldn't talk to the owner because she was on vacation. We felt like we got cheated. On the invoice, it just shows $120 for the bouquet but doesn't break it down to show how that amount was derived. When placing a complex order, I would suggest getting a detailed invoice with a breakdown of what you're really paying for. read more
