    Stuffed Quesadillas

Juicy blue is one of those rare hidden gems that no one will know about unto someone either physically takes you there or you explore the four points. The restaurant is located inside the four points by Sheraton on Tennessee street and is a vibrant American style restaurant with many different options. The menu is diversified and ranges from curry stuffed avocados to buffalo chicken bites to a juicy 9 ounce burger. Another that stood out to me is the price. All of the items I just named were under 10$ and that goes for the majority of the food except for your more 'premium' items (like steak, catch of the day) I went with some friends for a late dinner (it was probably around 10) Yelp says that the restaurant closes at 11. HOWEVER we learned that the restaurant closes at 10 and the BAR closes at 11. Our server Heinz, however said it was perfectly fine and sat us. We decided to split the stuffed avocado and got the stuffed quesadillas and the juicy blue burger. They were absolutely delicious. We also ordered some of their special drinks (The Long Island, and the four points juice) and they were just as good and were moderately priced. I want to say thank you to Heinz and the kitchen staff for doing such an awesome job and accommodating late guests. All I'm saying is, if you want to try something fresh and different in Tallahassee come to Juicy Blue.

Highly recommend for locals and tourists! Paleo and low carb friendly with no weird vibes from the staff. Love the happy hour and attentiveness from all staff members from breakfast to room service.

'Fresh mozzarella, sautéed grape tomatoes, and balsamic reduction
atop toasted baguettes' - what the menu said :-)

'Fresh mozzarella, sautéed grape tomatoes, and balsamic reduction atop toasted baguettes' - a description on their menu for Bruschetta... fresh mozzarella is the reason I ordered it. What I got was 4 pieces of bread that looked like they've been dipped in vinegar with few pieces of cut up tomatoes on top. When I asked the server about fresh mozzarella, he said yes it's shredded and melted inside.. too funny. See picture... Not ordering any more food from this place.

This has become my go to lunch spot when I'm at work. I'm a big fan of this place. They have so…read moremany options on the menu and you really can't go wrong with any of them. On today I ordered the catfish tacos and collard greens with the turkey. The meal was great. The catfish was lightly fried and the sauce on it was amazing. I had my usual peach sweet tea to go with it. I would recommend this place to anyone.

During Sunday brunch, we were seated quickly, even without reservations, even while it was very busy. There were lots of people ~ the venue is cute and quaint... my friend, however, was stuck on the paint chips and holes in the wall. The food was great. I got fried deviled eggs (yummy), fried catfish, red velvet waffles, eggs and corned beef hash. The catfish was extremely fresh. The red velvet cupcakes came with a cream cheese sauce that tasted more like Krispy Kreme donut glaze or just a sugary sauce. I wish it had more of a cream cheese flavor. I wasn't pleased with it. The corn beef hash was good. My friend got the chicken and pancakes. The chicken was delicious, perfectly fried. The customer service was great ~ warm, attentive, inviting, quick, and well managed to be so busy. Jordan, our server, was amazing! The ambience and crowd were nice, diverse. Unfortunately, the speaker wasn't working properly so initially it was incredibly, awkwardly quiet. When the speaker did start working, it sounded busted. Hope you enjoy if you ever go visit.

I managed to secure a nice table with not even a 25 minute wait thanks to a very courteous and professional manager (thank you, Steve!). At the table, everything was clean, shiny and the server was prompt despite a very busy morning. The crowd, obviously, seemed to be mostly college students and parents. I'm pretty sure during the week it's the Capitol Hill crowd. The food was tasty and really hit the spot. Coffees fresh brewed all around, of course. We started with the Breakfast Poutine for appetizer which was hearty and all enjoyed. For entrees, two Southern Benedict, the Waffle Flight, scrambled eggs and bacon. All the food was cooked to order, presented nicely and the taste exceeded expectations. Also, kudos to our Server, Jose. We'll likely visit again and enjoyed the meal. The ambience, flavors and service professionals were great. I should also mention parking in this area can be challenging so take that into consideration. Do make a reservation or arrive early!

We chose Hayward House to celebrate our son's graduation from Florida State University and made a…read more2:15 pm lunch reservation for 6 people because the ceremony was at 7 pm. We drove to Tallahassee that day, but unfortunately got caught in heavy traffic due to President Trump speaking in Sumter County near The Villages. As Soon as we realized we would not make our reservation, we called the restaurant to explain the unavoidable circumstances and asked if there was any way to move our reservation to another time that day. Initially, we were told no, so we canceled the reservation. Shortly afterwards, the restaurant called back and informed us we would be charged a cancellation fee of $ 150 - $ 25.00 per person. I completely understand having a cancellation policy, however, charging $ 25 per person for a lunch reservation during unavoidable traffic circumstances felt excessive and unreasonable, especially after we proactively called ahead. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility or compassion during an important family milestone. I explained repeatedly that we were desperately trying not to miss our son's graduation celebration and were even worried about missing the ceremony itself because we were stuck in traffic. I asked about every possible alternative- a later dinner reservation, appetizers only, or even moving reservation to another day. Ever request was denied except for a 4 pm slot, which still was not realistic given the traffic situation. What upset me the most was not just the fee itself, but the unwillingness to work with us. A more customer focused approach could have been allowing the $ 150 to be applied toward a future visit. Because of this experience, my family will NEVER dine at Hayward House, and I would NOT recommend it to other FSU families celebrating special occasions.

R&R at Hotel Indigo in Tallahassee, FL…read more Stayed a couple nights at Hotel Indigo on a work trip and naturally ended up at R&R more than once because: location, location, location. Easy access plus a bar meant repeat visits. Let's start with the GOODS the drinks! I stopped in to the bar multiple times and the cocktails are where they shined for me. Ryan the bartender - WOW next level. Superb! Knows his stuff, and made every drink a hit for me. My top pick? The Juju, hands down my favorite. But I also got a sneak peek of a new drink coming to their seasonal menu called the Lily Pad, and OMG mmmmmm. So good. Bright, refreshing, well-balanced. Totally check out my photos for that one. Now... about breakfast. It's a No for me. Enough. I had the Nashville Honey Chicken Biscuits and they are a FAIL, a No. Dry, sad, biscuits with fried frozen chicken nugget in it and not worth $16. It's an embarrassment to the establishment. The Cortado, also a miss!... but it was coffee and I needed to get going to work. R&R, please rethink breakfast: 100% did not meet the price point. Skip breakfast or walk across the street, there's a bagel shop. The hotel indigo is really cute and I'll probably write a review about that on a separate, the place is overall cute, but there's very limited food places around the hotel. So in conclusion, I will give you an extra star for the convenience and the bar. After my experience for breakfast, I did not care to come here for food at all anymore. Expensive cheap food. Just because they're helped by a great bar and a beautiful hotel and a great location..
