    Bubble Bread

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants of all time. I've been coming to this place for well over a decade. They have such a wide variety of options and you really can't go wrong with any of them. My wife and I decided to give them a visit on date night. On this visit I had the Chicken Parmesan. This is one of my favorite Italian dishes and they did not disappoint. I had the spaghetti on the side and it was good as well.

The drinks are made very well and the food is always phenomenal. I got the French 75, bubble bread, and their seafood special which happened to be mahi and spinach risotto. I love the small homey vibe of the restaurant and can usually count on them for an Italian inspired comfort meal.

4.3. For Tally very good. Ambiance was nice, French onion soup and chicken parm were good, bread too. Sicilian lasagna was just okay. Fried mozzarella tasty. Nice list of wines and full bar. Service was good.

Had a date night here and it went perfectly. Had a bottle of wine, stuffed mushrooms, 2 entrees, and an additional cocktail for very reasonable price!! Our server Nathan was awesome and very helpful. I loved that I was able to substitute the spaghetti that comes with the chicken parm for fettuccine Alfredo!! Everything was so delicious and I look forward to going back the next time I'm in town!

From the start this place exceeded my expectations. I love Italian food and I was not disappointed. We were recently in Peru and I saw the pisco sour on the drink menu....hummm I wonder if it could be as good??? Well turns out the bar tender is Peruvian and he made a SLAMMING pisco sour, well actually 3 since they were so tasty. Our server, Reese, was fantastic. Guided us to the bubbly bread, it's a staple here and highly recommended by the others at the small bar. The ravioli special ran out before I could order it but I did order the cannelloni. Very good. The Bella Bella salad was OVER THE TOP!!! Apples, strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, mango, watermelon, walnuts, pineapple, kiwi, plum, spring mix greens and damnnnnn Shout out to Reese, the kitchen staff and of course the bar!!!

We don't live in Tallahassee so we rely on yelp to guide us. We looked online and decided we would give it a try. Service was okay. Our server had a mishap with our order and we sat there waiting. Although our meals came with bread we had to ask for it when the salads and soup finally made an appearance. We did order the special appetizer...it was a lobster artichoke dip with pita bread. The pita was very good. The dip was pretty good. Our salads and soup finally came. My friend's son had the Italian wedding soup. He liked it but said the little meatballs were cold. I had the Cesar salad. It was okay. My friend has the house salad. She said it was fine. Our meals came out. My friend's son and I both had chicken parm. It was okay. The food wasn't super hot. My friend had the eggplant rollatini. She said it was fine. We shared a tiramisu that the server didn't charge us for because of the snafu. It was very good and my favorite part of the meal. All in all it was okay. I wouldn't go back next time I was visiting.

Bubble Bread and Stuffed Mushrooms are definitely the way to go for appetizers! Maggie was our waitress, super friendly and attentive! The pasta my wife and I ordered were very filling and flavorful!

I finally got to try this place, I'd been wanting to visit for a while. The ambiance was great, and the waitress explained the menu and made helpful suggestions. Here's what I had: 1. Vegetable Soup -- flavorful, it was a great start. (it comes with your meal as a side, salad is also an option). 2. Sicilian Lasagna -- it was served with Parmigiano cheese on top; it was rich, hearty, and very satisfying. (I had half of it because it was filling!) 3. Limoncello -- enjoyed after my meal. 4. Tiramisu -- ordered to share; it served as a cake slice instead of the messy spoon-style we expected. It was good, but didn't meet my expectations. ps: they served a bread basket with butter while we waited for our meals. find me on ig for my reviews: ratingraisin

Excellent food and experience. We ordered the specials: meatballs, and mahi with risotto. The bubble bread was a huge hit and stuffed mushrooms were delicious. We loved the house salad. It is interesting and yummy. Great service too. We will definitely be back.

    Sicilian Lasagna

So delicious! The bubble bread is phenomenal. So was the garlic dressing on the house salad. The lasagna was hearty, but delicious. And don't forget to get the cannolis for dessert! Be prepared to wait a little bit. We had fantastic service; our water was never empty and we always had a plate in front of us. Make sure to ask for the bread!

We were referred by friends while visiting my daughter and definitely worth the trip! The place is super cozy and comfortable. Our server Max was awesome!! We started with bubble bread and stuffed mushrooms. Both were fantastic. If you only get one, it's the bubble bread. Hands down one of the best garlic breads we've had. Jess had Sicilian lasagne and I had chicken parm(of course). We loved them both and shared a little too. Everyone else (party of 8) enjoyed their dinners and took home leftovers. I tried the fettuccine Alfredo and loved that too! We ended with a birthday tiramisu and even that was delicious. Will definitely back the next time in Tally.

    Do they Take reservations?

No I do not believe so.

    Parking on premises?

Yes. There are a few street parking spots in the front and along the side on 5th Avenue. There is also a parking lot behind the building.

What is the best time on Friday night to go and make sure you get a table?

Rarely a wait, but we've also always been OK with sitting at the bar or outside. I think the earlier the better. 6ish?

Any gluten free options other than salad?

Their potato dumpling is the only thing other than salad that's Gluten Free

When is their happy hour and what are the specials like?

Happy Hour is from 3pm-7pm. Happy Hour is only applicable at the bar and in the cocktail lounge. It includes $5 house highballs, half of glasses of house wine, half off draft beer, $5 glass of red/white sangria and $5 bubble bread.

I'm a longtime customer of Z Bardhi's in Tallahassee -- I've dined there 6-7 times, and I once hosted a group of 10 there. I genuinely believe in supporting local restaurants, especially after sticking with them through the challenges of the last several years. That's why this experience hurts to write about. I placed a to-go order recently, and what I received was shockingly poor. Had I been eating in the restaurant, I would have sent it back immediately. The Caprese Salad ($16) was listed as sliced tomatoes topped with buffalo mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinaigrette over mixed greens. Instead, I received four thin tomato slices, four flat, uninspiring pieces of supermarket-style mozzarella totaling less than two inches, and one singular small piece of wilted lettuce. That's it. For sixteen dollars. The Caesar salad was equally minuscule and underwhelming. The large pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers (with the $2 per topping upcharge) was also disappointing -- most of the pie had almost no green peppers, and the sausage and mushrooms were scattered so sparsely that entire sections were bare. I understand restaurants can have off nights, but this wasn't an off night. This was a clear lack of care and portion control coming out of the kitchen. When loyal customers are consistently shorted on ingredients and charged premium prices for what feels like bare-minimum effort, it doesn't just disappoint -- it breaks trust. Z Bardhi's, I hope management sees this and takes it seriously. I want to keep supporting you, but experiences like this make it very difficult. If this level of effort continues, many of us who have been regulars will have no choice but to take our business elsewhere. We have options, and loyalty has to go both ways. They are in a brand new building on the way into Woodville. There is a good bit of parking. The dining area is one big space with tables and booths. The Bolognese didn't have enough meat to suit me and it hadn't been cooked long enough to develop that rich depth of flavor that my all time favorite Bolognese at Mimmo's in Destin has. More like a marinara sauce than a rich and thick bolognese. The pizza, on the other hand, was stellar. Tasty thin and crispy crust with a nice sauce, delicious cupped pepperoni and plenty of cheese where extra cheese might be overkill. Would have loved more fennel bite in the sliced Italian sausage but the overall taste of the pizza was so good I wouldn't quibble. A large party of 10 came and sat adjacent to us, so, we asked to move once more. Once settled, we were served bread and water, then ordered a cocktail. The bread was nice and crusty. The cocktails were as ordered. We ordered an appetizer to share - squid ink pasta with seafood and fra diablo sauce. Quite tasty! For entrees, the fish of the day was red snapper piccata. Q We both ordered the snapper with sides of carrots with a brown sugar pecan glaze and Brussels sprouts with a balsamic drizzle. Our entrees arrived. Traditional Piccata is floured then sautéed in butter/olive oil, drippings are made into a lemon butter sauce with capers and parsley. What was served was a breaded the fried piece of snapper with what looked like a thin lemon parsley white sauce to pour over it and some fried crispy capers. The fish was nice white flesh, a thick breading, slightly overcooked. The almost green parsley laden lemon sauce was mediocre. The The The capers would have been better warmed in the skillet and not fried. Side dishes - the carrots were a platter of multi colored sautéed or blanched. The brown sugar glaze was scant and there were a Few nuggets of glazed pecans. Not as described by our server. The sprouts were crispy and had a tasty balsamic glaze. I felt the dish was mediocre and wished I'd ordered a steak. For dessert, I ordered the spumoni ice cream. Nothing like traditional layered spumoni I've had in the past. This seemed to be chocolate ice cream with some nuts and chocolate bits in it. Cherries non existent. I never mind spending money if the food quality is commensurate to the price. Our bill came to $200 + $40 tip. Far below my expectations.
