We walked in and were immediately greeted by the sweetest hostess and seated at a high top table. The ambiance was perfection - I felt like I was in Italy! Beautiful wine bar and high tops throughout. We ordered the German cheese & cracker board - so impressive and filling! We ordered the truffle Mac & cheese with short ribs (known as "meat crack") because we had to try it. All of the flavors hit perfectly!!! We ordered a few glasses of wine and the Italian black cherry champagne Bellini. All so delicious and paired perfectly with our cheese board and mac meal. We may have found our new favorite spot! We didn't want to leave!

One of the special entrees. Lamb chops with turmeric mashed potatoes and a little arugula salad with feta on top.

This restaurant is very intimate and a hidden treasure in Tallahassee. Our waiter was very nice to suggest some tasty entrees such as the lamb chops. As it was my first time trying lamb, I am now a fan. The wine selections were good, even for individuals who are picky. Definitely have to come back again.

I'm hoping C&H remains a hidden jewel. If the word gets out, it would ruin everything! The experience you will have is amazingly well-versed servers, 5-star beautiful menu items, all completely unique to anything else locally. The anonymity is obviously intentional. If you don't accidentally see the window neon next to 5-Guys, you'll likely not know C&H exists. The current menu is dominated by seafood creations, duck, and more duck. A beautiful beef tenderloin is amazingly presented with a terrific adobo chocolate coffee crust. The server suggested a side of wild mushrooms that was the highlight of the meal. At $40 for a center cut filet, I was expecting something smaller than what was served. Finally, no to mention the restaurant ambiance would also be a faux pas. The decor is a recreation of an inviting, laid-back outdoor square, complete with awnings and a tree. C&H should be a destination spot, but don't spread the word. Let's keep this one our little secret.

I finally got to try this spot! I'm bummed I never experienced the old location, but I believe the new location still has that great intimate feel, but is a little larger space. They do warn they are short-staffed so patience is appreciated. We definitely had to be. Our waiter Alyssa was working over time, but she did her best. I had the duck pot pie and it was delicious! A great flavor! I didn't read that it had mushrooms which is the only reason I didn't completely demolish it. My husband had the tuna and he very much enjoyed it. I also ordered a ginger beer but it had a lemon flavor with it that I didn't enjoy at all. For dessert we had a bread pudding and something else. Desserts were just OK.

I'd been to this restaurant with my wife before but we'd never had their food to-go. We tried the angus steak sandwich on this visit. They served it deconstructed but I think that's because it was take out. It was very good. We don't eat much beef so take that with a grain of salt. I loved the sauce that came with the sandwich. It was very hearty.

I'm ashamed I waited so long to come here what a gem we have in Tallahassee. First I'm a sucker for culinary excellence and that is what we have here. I came with two friends and sat at the bar. We ordered salad and appetizers and a bacon board. For the price we paid and the quality of food we received I was beyond impressed. I loved the selection of wine and the attention to detail on all the plates we saw come out the kitchen. You won't be disappointed I will be adding this to my rotation of weeknight dinner stops with the boyfriend.

We came on Friday to celebrate a late Valentine's Day. I ordered the marinated duck breast and absolutely loved it! My partner ordered the wagyu sliders and enjoyed them, but they were on the smaller side. So we also ordered the "crack in a crock" which was delicious! We shared a slice of a the tiramisu as a dessert, the presentation was a little disappointing. The waiter tried his best to keep the slice upright, but when he set it on the table it fell to the side and a chunk of it fell on the table. A little disappointed by that. The ambiance was relaxing, I would definitely come again!

Very much enjoyed my experience here. While their wine options are great, they also had a coffee blonde on draft that was surprisingly very good and got a couple rounds of, but it was pricey at $9 a glass. It was made locally though so made it worth it. The food was delicious as well. I highly recommend the quesadilla - very well done and the duck was nice and tender. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable - he was the one to suggest the coffee blonde since I usually prefer beer. Would definitely come back!

    Soooo good!!!

Everything about our recent dinner at Cluster & Hops was beyond delicious! We started with a charcuterie which we all enjoyed - they were out of the German board but we were pleased with the meat & cheese board. My sister & BIL both got the seared tuna which I got a bite of & it was very good! My husband got the duck pot pie which he told me he was thinking about a few days later he liked it so much. I got their mushroom & cheese biscuit meal. Our drink choices were tasty & at the end I got a glass of Penfold's Grandfather port. Sooo good!! And to round out the meal we all shared a chocolate mousse. This will be a frequented dinner locale for us, for sure!

    Wagyu Sliders

I wish I came here before they relocated! Had to try once before I leave the city though, since they won't reopen until after that. My boyfriend and I shared a cheese plate for 2, pate sampler, and wagyu sliders. Everything was delicious! The cheese plate had a variety of different types of cheeses but all of them were *just* different enough that they were unique and interesting but not offensive flavors at all! The wagyu sliders were amazing. They didn't feel greasy at all even though they were dripping down my hand. And the cheese complemented it perfectly. We will eat here again if we're ever in the city after they reopen

At least three of my friends have gone to The Melting Pot in recent times. Each time I read or hear…read moreabout their experience, well, it's always fabulous and it makes me question why it's taken me years to return to this chain. Then I go back and remember, but I'll get to that eventually. It was Valentine's Day week and I knew I would be up in Tallahassee. I tried to coordinate a mini reunion and failed, so it just wound up being us two. I made the reservation a week or so in advance, even changing the reservation from one night to another no problem. When we went on a Sunday night, it was pretty busy. A lot of people were there to celebrate Valentine's Day, even though it had landed earlier that week. I mean, I can't blame them - we went and did the same. The fact that they kept advertising their packages only aided matters, although we are simple folk and just went for the food and company. We opted for the four-course meal, consisting of cheese fondue, salad, our entrees, and chocolate fondue. For the cheese fondue, I believe it was the Swiss alpine we chose, but I don't exactly remember. They brought us dippers and lots of bread and vegetables. Well, and apples. My companion found the apples weird, but apples and cheese made me grin. The ratio of fruits and vegetables to bread was in favor of the bread. More bread than anything else honestly. I had to quit eating this to have room for everything else because I knew lots more would come. Lots more came indeed in the form of salad, which surprisingly is the one thing you can order different from your companion as you're not sharing a pot. He had a Caesar salad I think minus some bacon bits, while I went for the California salad which had a sweet raspberry vinaigrette. From there, we chose a package for our entrees. I believe it was called Big Night Out and it brought chicken, filet mignon, teriyaki steak, shrimp, salmon, and mushroom ravioli. We then debated our cooking style for the pot. I immediately vetoed coq au vin as despite being a Francophile, I'm not a fan of this flavor. Last time I had it, well, I would have rather drunk the wine than eaten it. He bargained that I'd get to choose the chocolate fondue, so I agreed to bourguignon. I hesitate in saying he made a good choice because I may never hear the end of it if it gets back to him. That said, because my companion is a notorious seafood hater, I had to cook my shrimp last. I didn't bother with the salmon as I wanted room for dessert. That and I partook in practically everything else sans the mushroom ravioli. I left that for him. Finally we get to dessert and I chose the S'mores one. They set it aflame right in front of us and it was beautiful. Then, the platter with strawberries, bananas, Rice Krispies, and the like - wow! Except me having a craving I added macarons and I inhaled those, along with the strawberries. I wanted to have a marshmallow, but alas - it simply was too much, which is pretty much why I take breaks years in between these experiences. I love this chain to bits, but it's too much food for little ol' me and expensive for what it is to boot. My companion and I could've done this at home, but well, he indulged me and took me to The Melting Pot because sometimes you have to take one for the team. Anyhow, I'm glad he did because it made for a lovely evening.
