some of the food here is excellent!! The fried eggplant makes everything better. The hummus is excellent, although I would give them a 10/10 on two of the hummus flavors and the third was a bit thick and dry. Nestled in a little plaza in the Owings Mills area sits the Mediterranean inspired, Hummus Republic. Very similar to Cava, however, I feel the flavors differ a bit. They offer salads, wraps, and bowls which you customize to your heart's desire. Since I'm a girl who loves a bowl of food that's what I opted for. Hummus Republic had so many topping options from the rice and lentil selections to the protein, veggies, and dressings you can choose. The young lady assisting me was so helpful. Offering samples of various items so I could get a taste of what I liked before adding it to my bowl. I really enjoyed that your protein of choice is cooked when ordered versus sitting in trays on the service line. And I must admit I think I prefer the hummus at Hummus Republic over the hummus and dips at Cava. The harissa hummus was a sure win in my book. Great service, tasty food, and a customizable menu are all things I love when grabbing a quick lunch or dinner. I can't wait for my next visit to Hummus Republic to see what I can create. read more

New restaurant in the owings mills area. It's very clean and the ingredients are fresh. This is a great place to check out if you're looking for healthy lunch or dinner options. I ordered online and waited inside for my order. When ordering my bowl, I was so shocked to see that so many toppings were free/included. There were so many options. Once again, a delicious meal! I went Friday before the snowpocolypse and ordered a bowl with chicken shawarma. It was delicious, with the hummus and toppings. A full meal for two days for $13. I ordered from the website and received notification that my order was ready shortly after ordering. I was disappointed that there was a minimum amount required for a pickup order. So, instead of just ordering a wrap I added the hummus sampler and a lavender sage drink to my order. Unfortunately, at time of pickup the lavender sage wasn't available. The substituted lemonade wasn't my favorite. The wrap was good, layered with so many flavors and textures i didn't taste the hummus which I expected to be the star of the meal. A day later and the hummus side was an amazing late night snack with chips. I'm always excited when a new restaurant option is added to the neighborhood. I wish this business much success! Very tasty! Set up like cava or chipotle but Mediterranean food. You also can't see everything because of the way that they keep the food fresh. Everything tasted very fresh! We intended to eat elsewhere but noticed a new sign displaying a word of what we like to eat... HUMMUS!!! The inside was nice, clean, and sanitary. Service was exceptional and pleasant. Food was very delicious! The couscous was not overcooked and the chicken was flavorful and tender. The drinks were not overly sweet and the fountain drink options are a great compliment to the food. All in all, this is a great new spot with great food, chill atmosphere, and good service. AND... this is much closer than another mediterranean spot that shall remain nameless. Let it be known, my truest rating is a 3.5.. Set up is a bit weird in here. Also a place you kinda need to know what you want (or just order online) because if you are ordering in-store, the toppings cannot be seen by the customer as they are hidden by the lid of the steel containers, and as a visual eater I was quite indecisive. The food was good, I just think the ordering process is a bit clunky. I think in the order, Cava is the best, Hummus republic is in the middle and Mezeh is the worst of the 3. And my sweet potato fries though fried on the spot, were still a bit soggy and under seasoned. And my wrap was poorly wrapped but that might've been my fault because I ordered so many things just simply because I couldn't see the ingredients I was just reading off of what sounded good. But all this to say, the place is certainly worth a try if you like Mediterranean food, all the ingredients felt and tasted extremely fresh! read more
