This is such an underrated spot in Tulum. Located in Tulum Centro, about 20 mins away from from Tulum beach. Love the low table sitting arrangement and the ambiance of the restaurant. It can get quite hot as there are no fans in the restaurant and it is outdoor seating. The guacamole and ceviche were so good! The guac is nothing compared to the ones in the US. The ceviche was also delicious, we got the ones with fish and it had mango and avocado pieces with light sauce. The chips were also fresh too. I got the octopus tacos and they were outta this world. Seriously hands down the best octopus I've ever had in my life and even better than the octopus I've tried in Mykonos. It's one of the hardest meats to cook and they did it perfectly. It was smokey and peppery, with a bit of guacamole it. They serve you sauces on the side. One of them is super super hot so be careful don't just put a bunch of sauces without trying them first. Also if you were to sit at the low table, you'd be asked to remove your shoes. Such a cool experience you can't get in the US. I wish more people would come to Tulum Centro and dine at Humo.

This place is awesome. The aesthetics is beautiful, super chill. They have tables with low chairs or tables where you seat in the floor, totally a nice experience. We went there 3 times, 2 for dinner and 1 for brunch/breakfast. Breakfast menu is from 8 am to 1pm. Everything what we ordered was delicious. They master the grill, the octopus was super tasty. They served us homemade tortillas with it. Desserts were vegan and super flavorful and delicious. In general all food we had was super tasty. Price/quality is fantastic. Please go there and enjoy a different experience!

Quick midday vibes. WOW! We were completely blown away by the food, atmosphere, and service. On the main road. Very delicious and meticulously prepared, smoothies, drinks, and etc that were easily among the best food that we ate so far in Mexico. So good, in fact, we ordered everything Tulum. Recommend going for breakfast/brunch.

Good tacos and presented super pretty. I noticed this place took the longest to make our food out of all the places in Tulum. We were also the only people actively ordering food. They have a healthy coffee and juice bar open in the morning till 4ish also. The coffee was really so-so, not our favorite but also not bad. Green juice was good, not super sweet. Fave tacos were the lengua. We also were intrigued by the quesadillas since they had super smoky mushrooms inside. Octopus were good, not as much flavor as I dreamed, but with salt they were better. And my bf said he liked the pork. One of the prettiest designed places for brunch or dinner in Tulum. Nice customer service. Visit!

I have been to many restaurants, this one is one of the best. It at bare minimum it is among the best if not the best in Tulum. We have been here 3 times so far and will continue coming back for the simple reason that every time we try somewhere else, it pales in comparison Try the fish & octopus dinner entrees - they're incredible. The ceviche is also something to write home about. They use the freshest ingredients you can find, and the meals are prepared with love. It shows. Diego our waiter is also amazing.

Humo has a really fun Tulum style of decor and vibe. We went for breakfast/brunch with a group of 5 and it was no hassle. The total was around $18pp, which isn't bad for Tulum.

What an amazing experience! From sophisticated, nomad style decor to fantastic cuisine and well made drinks this place has it all. As soon as you walk into Humo, you are transported into a burning man style backyard venue. If seating permits, you have the option of sitting at a traditional table or you can cris cross apple sauce down on the floor with you feet out at one of the lower tables. For food, we recommend the grilled octopus which might have the best freaking tentacles in all of Rivera Maya. If you want to give your taste buds a little kick from papa Diablo - try out the insanity that they call the fish tacos. To cool things down, the ceviche verde is mild and refreshing and pairs well with the variety of fancy cocktails. Kitchen closes at 10. Enjoy!

I ate here twice with my family while vacationing in Tulum and we all loved it! Delicious fresh fish entrees, mushroom quesadillas and great selection of unique cocktails. The restaurant itself is beautiful and unique. You sit on the ground on pillows or on low chairs. It's all open air, though there is a palapa roof if it rains. I highly recommend this place!

Was a bit underwhelmed by this spot to be honest. The aesthetics were on point, open air concept…read morewith widely spaced tables, candles, decent music. They start you off with a complimentary piece of toast with some vegetable chunks. Each of us got a quarter of a piece of dry white bread that I would pass on in the future but the vegetables paired with it had decent flavor. I got the passion fire as my drink and very much enjoyed it. It was sweet and refreshing with just the right amount of heat. 9/10. For appetizers my group split the duck tartlet with pink mole, the sweet potato agrodolce, and the hamachi tiradito. The duck was well cooked and tender but lacking in flavor. The pink mole wasn't adding much to the dish other than creaminess. The tart shell was awful. It was thick and dry and reminiscent of a premade store bought tart shell. 5/10. The sweet potato agrodolce was good, the sweet potato and squash ribbons had a nice firm texture and snap but all of the flavor came from the yogurt sauce that they were sitting on. 7/10. The hamachi tiradito was my favorite of the apps. The fish was fresh and light, the flavors were interesting with the combination of the sweet banana vinaigrette, the salty umami ponzu, and the sweet tangy mango, chili, cucumber salsa. This dish was the best of the night, 8/10. For mains we split the catch of the day, which was red snapper, and the broken beet. The fish was underwhelming, being a bit overcooked and dry. The sauce it was drenched in helped with the dryness but didn't lend much flavor. The yuca chips were a nice addition, adding a nice crunch to contrast the soft textures of the fish and sauce but again, not lending much in flavor. Chips could have been salted. 6/10. The beets were cooked well, they were soft and tender and paired nicely with the sour cream, turmeric oil, and salad. The turmeric oil added acidity, the salad added freshness and also acidity from the dressing it had, and the sour cream added a nice creaminess and tangy. These flavors offset the richness of the beets nicely. My second favorite dish, 8/10. For dessert we went with the "corn," which was a cake shaped like a corn cob with a chopped nut center and what I think was real corn kernels across the exterior, paired with a corn ice cream. Overall a solid dessert, the chopped nuts added a nice crunch however the cake as a whole was a bit dry. The ice cream added some needed moisture and paired nicely with the cake, though the texture was a bit icy, more like a corn sorbet than a corn ice cream. 6/10. Overall a good experience but with its high prices and small portions I wouldn't go back. The apps were on average between $20-$30 usd, with mains being between $25-$50 usd, and dessert $20 usd.

The entire place was beautiful decorated with so much greenery. Service was attentive and they also have bug spray in case you forget. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Tulum!
