I haven't ordered from this place in years, like 10 years because I didn't have a great experience the last time and then saw an angel on a feed that said she's from New York and only eats this Chinese. We ordered the chicken lo mein, general tso chicken with sauce on the side along with chicken with mixed vegetable with the sauce on the side. We always do this because 1st I like to see the protein and 2nd because I don't like it soggy. Everything was perfect. Sauces light and delicious along with crunch clean protein and the fluffiest rice with fresh veggies. You can tell it wasn't old. It ate cleaner than any Chinese food I have ever had. I've tried this place twice and it's ok, but I guess it depends on what you order. The Pork Chow Mein was good. The Boneless Ribs had really good flavor, but they seemed to be cooked unevenly, or perhaps in different batches. Some pieces were overcooked, some were undercooked and a few pieces were perfect. The egg fried rice tasted good, although it was on the greasy side. I didn't care for the spring roll, as that was also greasy. My coworker ordered the Pork Lo Mein which she enjoyed. So we were in the area and stopped in for lunch. Surprised that it was more of a takeout place. The food was awesome. Egg rolls were nice and crispy. The egg foo young was cooked perfectly. Not greasy at all. I had orange chicken that was not over breaded. This place is located in Delray and we live in Royal Palm Beach. Ordered Shrimp with lobster again horrible no taste shrimp felt like rubber. OK I tired sweet and Sour and chicken again horrible I cracked a tooth trying to eat it. The chicken was deep fired and brunt my pit bull couldn't eat it was so burnt. So 3 strikes I'm out. The owner has been in business for over two decades and the service is fast as well as cordial. The ambiance is clean and dimly lit while still being inviting. It's also really reasonably priced. I like Hunan Wok as a "to go" convenient location. Last week I ordered a combo dinner that came with an egg roll. When I picked it up I asked where the egg roll was and the lady told me "it's in there". When I got home there was no egg roll. I thought no big deal I'll just tell them the next time. Best Chinese food in Delray Beach. We love the food, service and delivery. Their seafood soup is so great that we order 2 of them and have it the next day. They are always friendly and get your order perfectly prepared. We are very particular and have our favorite restaurant in PA and when we are in Delray this is where we will be ordering. We had delivery and the man that came here was efficient and friendly and pick up was also a great experience. We can't say enough good things about this place. Only negative is that like others we have also called on Tuesday and wish they didn't pick that day to close. In PA most places are closed on Monday so that took some adjusting. I tried ordering from the menu online. The prices are a bit off and the woman taking my order seemed confused when I ordered the steamed chicken and mixed vegetables. She said "I'll have to put it as the steamed chicken and shrimp with mixed vegetables and make a note for no shrimp". I ended up just ordering it with shrimp because I would be charged for it either way. She also told me it would be $1 extra because I asked for the sauce on the side, even though every time I've ever ordered from a Chinese takeout's "special diet menu" and gotten steamed anything, the sauce already comes on the side. To clarify, I did not order extra sauce, so being charged $1 to put it on the side instead of on the food is kind of ridiculous. Their menu online lists canned sodas, but I was told I had to get 16 oz bottles. Wouldn't order again from here if I'm being honest. read more

So I got the Orange Chicken Combo for lunch and got some Kung Pao Chicken for dinner... they are both dinner combos. My opinion on the Orange Chicken is that it is not soggy with sauce; so, good amount of sauce on it and the rice is good and dry without the sauce spilling over to it. The chicken is a little tiny bit crunchy but more on the softer side. The plate came hot and within 25 minutes (although expected delivery time was 45 minutes). The egg roll is crunchy and savory. I am very satisfied with this meal. For Chinese food that I'm used to, it's between 4-5 stars, so I'm going with 5. Oh and the phone attendant taking deliveries is awesome! read more

This is my neighborhood go to for Chinese Takeout. Lo Mein has chinese cabbage to give it a crunch. Garlic Shrimps are large and lots of fried rice to fill up the combo tray. I usually order 2 combos and have enough for 3-4 people and lunch the next day. Prices are excellent! A large soup is only $3.50. They are great on the details as well. When first entering the restaurant appeared to be kept very clean, there are booths lining one of the walls. Only 2 patrons were dining so we were a little skeptical and hesitant to order. Soon we noticed the takeout at this location was keeping the staff very busy, orders were coming out left and right... So we decided to order the mongolian chicken & steamed chicken and veggies. I have been coming to this restaurant for several years. And in that time I have always have good hot meals. Occasionally, there would be a fly or a bug around that I didn't bother me or I just kind of blew off. Tonight however was different I noticed more than a few bugs. And the rule of thumb is if there's one there's two. Also of concern was the food was not hot. My hot roll egg roll was not a girl was not hot it was warm. My french fries were stale as if they had been refried. I understand that they were busy tonight but I've been coming there for years and they've seen me for years and I always order the same thing. You would think that they would take extra care in my order. Needles to say I am hesitant to come back to this place. Considering all of the different restaurants out there that have been getting terrible reviews for not reviews but terrible inspection reports for violations in this and violations that.
