Got lunch here today. This place is a 1 minute drive from my office so it's in a super convenient location. I've heard from coworkers that this place isn't the best, but to be honest I don't trust their judgment so I decided to check it out for myself today. I spent $29 (with tax) and got the lunch special of chicken and broccoli (comes with fried rice and a drink), 1 egg roll, 1 spring roll, a small order of crab rangoons, and a wonton soup. The wonton soup is only 1 size but it was huge! A very decent portion for the price. The egg roll and spring roll were super yummy and crispy. The soup also came with the crispy noodles which I love. The lunch portion was also a very decent portion and tasted super yummy. I drove to pick up the order and there was ample parking. The inside is pretty hot and stuffy (I don't think there's AC) but other than that the staff is super nice and efficient. There is a station for condiments/utensils/etc, and a fridge for drinks if you paid for one. It was clean and organized inside. All in all, I thought the food was amazing! My only complaint is the crab rangoons are triangle shaped rather than the normal crab Rangoon shape, but everything still tasted great. I recommend and will definitely be back. read more

I had some basics, the house fried rice, boneless spare ribs, and the general tso chicken. It was very tasty, came out quickly after the order. Nice lady behind the counter was friendly and understood what I wanted. It is a takeout place, the lobby area seemed a bit crowded with sales of other items like trinkets and toys for kids. They had a few tables with chairs, but I don't know if I would stay. read more

Perfect for a Chinese food takeout craving. Stuck with the standards -- egg roll (nice and crispy), general tso's chicken, honey garlic chicken, sesame chicken and fried rice. They threw in extra duck sauce as per my request. Will repeat for the next craving for sure. read more

We haven't been here in years since it is in our old neighborhood, strictly takeout and delivery. My wife ordered the Vegetable Egg Foo Young, served with white rice and gravy. Also available with pork, chicken, shrimp, or a special Egg Foo Young including pork, chicken and shrimp. I tried the Shrimp with Garlic Sauce combination dinner with green pepper, celery, carrots, mushrooms, and snow peas. Comes with egg roll, fried rice and choice of wonton, egg drop, mixed or hot & sour soup. Very good and spicy. read more

Their food is good and not expensive at all. A good place to order from when you're not in the mood to cook.

It's hard to find good Chinese food in the area. This family run takeout place is my go to. I highly recommend the boneless pork ribs.

Two years ago I rated this take out place with five stars. Under new ownership for well over a year now, I gave it a shot which was a big mistake on my part. Writing two star reviews is something I hate doing. I was treated rudely and the food was awful, I mean throw it in the garbage awful. I phoned in my order and the lady was very nice to me on the phone. I left her a tip which is something I usually do for take out. Tonight I left a generous tip & she looked at the receipt, shrugged and walked away, not even a thank you! Anyway her young son was working with her and he was probably about ten years old. She left him "in charge" and went in the back to cook or do whatever. I wanted to ask her a question so I asked her son to please get his mom for me. He went in the back & I hear the woman tell him to find out what I wanted. The kid comes back and rudely asked me what I wanted. At the same time another customer walked in & he screamed "walk in order" to his mom, who was still in the back. He was a cute kid, but his mom shouldn't allow him to run the place when she can't be behind the counter. Unprofessional and unpleasant to say the least. The food sealed the deal that under no circumstances will I return. The last thing I took a bite of was a stale/soft fortune cookie. I gagged and ran into the bathroom. Disgusting! The fried rice was flavorless and the diced onions were not fully cooked. Who wants raw onions in their fried rice? Roast Pork Chow Mein; just no words. It was that bad. Orange Chicken was obviously premade, it definitely was not fresh. Same thing as in a mall food court but worse. It needed more sauce & the chicken itself was mushy and inedible. I didn't try the sesame noodles so I personally can't comment on them and I don't like them to begin with. My friend said "it's edible" and then proceeded to eat the entire container. I waisted my money and I don't feel good. Based upon MY experience, I don't feel comfortable recommending Lucky Express. I just can't. I was very pleasantly surprised by this carry out. The mom works the kitchen and she has two young sons learning the front and of them is very good. The younger still learning. Anyway, I got the shrimp and vegetables snd it was very good. I'll have to try one of my favorites which is egg foo young snd that'll be the real test. But my dinner was really good read more

The food tastes good but the portion of rice is too small. Shrimp fried rice is a upcharge of $3, it looks well portioned when it's full. The food is filling but if you pay $15 for a dinner special it should be $15 worth. Customer service is not well, they gave me the wrong order and called me to tell me to check if I have the correct order after i'd already reached my destination, it was not my order. They stated if I want my correct order I have to come back no delivery. They wanted the incorrect order back but i'd already thrown it in the garbage, restaurants should not take food back especially in the times we are in. read more

Glad to see they were open on a Monday. Sad that delivery was to take an hour to be delivered to a home next door. The hot and sour soup was coated in chili oil and barely had any veggies or tofu in the quart ordered. The special wonton soup was filled with chunks of meat and veggies, nice and filling! Egg roll just shredded cabbage in a fried roll. Shrimp chow Mein was very disappointing basically gooey sauce with onions and slimy greens the 8 shrimp were tiny and there was not much taste to this. read more

It was holiday time. The order was taken over the phone and it was EXACTLY what we ordered. Food was very good. The best was the young man 12-13 yrs old that was handling the ordering, pick up and payment. He was an entrepreneur. Yummy food, fast service. We had the crab rangoon, egg drop soup, chicken and veggie steamed. All was tasty and good. They have plenty of sauce for the rangoon. I don't know whether I'm more shocked or upset at the treatment that I've just received for this place. I've never had any major issues before. Few I had were minor and corrected by a woman who usually takes the orders. Today my friends and I called to place an order for delivery, we usually have about 3-7 orders at a time. Today a gentleman answered and asked if was doing pick up or delivery. I advised it would be delivery. He stated we do not do delivery today and hung up on me. Before I can even say okay we will pick it up, because I am aware that some days they don't have a driver which forces one of the owners to deliver. But to just hang up on me and not give a chance to even respond is beyond disrespectful. I would NEVER eat here again nor will I refer anyone to this business. They should be shamed to have anyone working at this establishment who treats paying customers in this manner. read more

Although yelp says they're closed today, (Sunday) they were open. I hardly like Chinese food at all, but what I do like are fried cream cheese wontons and fried chicken wings from chinese restaurants. So that is what I ordered. We were pretty loyal to this place but just picked up food and three of the items weren't cooked properly. They refused to give us a credit without bringing the food back. Since my husband didn't want to go out again and I'm in my pajamas it appears we just wasted $66.00. My husband went to get the food 20 after it was supposed to be ready and it still wasn't cooked properly because they threw it together! We will never order from this place again. And they were rude! Actually the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Food actually looks unappetizing. Nothing has flavor. Szechuan Beef has absolutely no flavor AND no spice. The Wonton Soup was nothing but water, a pinch of salt, and maybe food coloring. Shrimp fried rice looked like yellow rice, and tasted like white rice with two boiled bland shrimp. My new Chinese food hot spot! This local takeout joint has all the workings of a mom and pop shop, owned by a husband and wife that are blowing the competition out of the water! My brother and I stopped by on a Wednesday evening at 6:30pm and, gladly, did not have to wait in a line to order our food. We ordered the fried rice and lo mein, and they were both delicious! The quantities were much larger than we expected and shareable, and the few but convenient dining tables helped us enjoy the food in house. What really blew me away more than anything, however, was the amazing customer service. The lady working the counter was extremely friendly, consciously making an effort to engage in a conversation as we waited for our food. While eating, my brother and I noticed many other customers come in to pick up their food and it was remarkable to see how well the lady knew everybody so well, asking them how their other family members are doing, and even recalling specific events within the conversations. Highly recommend this place and commend their efforts at making quality Chinese takeout quickly and effectively. Will definitely return! read more

Lucky Express used to be my go-to restaurant when I lived in Boca. Excellent food and service for a take-out. However, I moved to Delray and found Chinese closer by. Today, however, I was excited because a doctor's appointment brought me close by to Lucky Express, and I knew when I made that appointment that I would be stopping by Lucky Express for my Chinese food lunch, as well as for my mother's and her aide's. Was I disappointed!!! First, when I got home I found that half of our lunch was not in the bag. They left out 2 orders of fried rice and extra crispy noodles which we asked for in lieu of drinks that came with the lunch specials. When I called to complain about the missing rice to our orders of shrimp and lobster sauce, there was nothing I could do except drive back there (1/2 hour round trip)!
