Not impressed. The orange chicken was okay, but overcooked and tough, yet, probably the best thing we ordered. You should definitely pass on the Mongolian beef and the vegetable egg foo young. Both were burned/ overcooked.The egg foo young gravy was one of the worst I've had, greasy and bland. By greasy, I mean little pools of grease lying on top, separated from the gravy itself. Fried rice is bland. Spring roll is a spring roll so it's kind of hard to screw it up. I say one star because I asked myself, would I return and the answer is no. I didn't like anything enough to try anything else nor to finish eating what we purchased. I'm really picky about Chinese food so this place just doesn't make the cut for me. It didn't help that the guy had an attitude. I asked 2 questions: what's in the fried rice (in order to verify that there was no meat because every place does their dinner combo differently)? And can I have an extra order of spring rolls, please. He acted like I was ruining his day and made no effort to hide his annoyance or displeasure at being asked questions or probably even working at all for that matter. We're frequently in the area but no worries, we won't return. I'm so confused, I really expected better based on the reviews and thought the few one star reviewers were crazy. went here yesterday night after work for dinner. this was my first time trying it. i ordered the general tso chicken combo that came with "fried" brown rice and an egg roll. the rice was bland and tasteless but the general tso chicken was EXTREMELY SPICY. i hate spicy things and usually can't stomach them. my family loves spicy food and thinks i'm a pansy for the most part when i can't handle heat but i had both my sister and cousin try it and they both agreed it was almost unbearably spicy. i also ordered the egg drop soup and it was okay. not much flavor. the crab rangoon were extremely tastety though? they were fresh and the sauce that came with it wasn't overly sweet like most Chinese places. not sure if i'd come back but if i did id come for the rangoons and maybe try some orange chicken instead. read more

This is the only Chinese place for me, the food is super consistent and the drivers are super friendly. My driver was dressed up as Santa last night. Great sweet and sour chicken, great lo mein dishes, great chicken chow mein, great wonton soup. The only thing that I don't like about the place is with the Hot and Sour Soup they are experimenting with different vegetables and they used to literally be the best. For example, last time they used carrots instead of water chestnuts, which wasn't bad, it just wasn't the classic awesomeness that I know you guys are capable of. Also, I think there was green peppers in the previous one, which once again, not a huge offense, I just like it better when you knock it out of the park with the real recipe. Have been buying their take out for several years. Noticed a steady decline in quality, but last night was the worst. Ordered all appetizers this time. Had to throw out the chicken and beef teriyaki, hours old and to tough to bite. Ordered shrimp rolls, got eggrolls, again old and tough. Ordered fried dumplings, terrible. So this place had good reviews and I figured why not try it out. I have now been to this place a good amount of times that I can finally give my thoughts on it. First, Friendly atmosphere plenty of places to sit and eat which I am a fan of. The food is great especially the general tso chicken, pork fried rice, and lo mein. Lunch specials are where its at starting around $5.50ish to $7ish. My biggest complaint that makes my review not 4 to 5 stars would be that when it is not a Lunch Special the food is expensive. For example, I just wanted chicken and broccoli one afternoon no rice just a small portion and it came out to almost $9. I was blown away! Went back after a very bad first experience (it was free company paid for lunch) and i have to say i don't know if they changed management or if they just were not as busy and had time to actually prepare the food but it was very good. the chicken was actually cooked with the food not pre-made and added to pre-made rice like the first time. The vegetable pad Thai was pretty good for quick cheap eats and they put fried tofu on it for me, which I was pleased with as the cut it small. One of my favorite Sunday morning hangover delivery spots, probably the only Chinese restaurant around that is open at 11am on Sunday. Their best dishes are any Lo Mein, BBQ Spareribs w/ White Rice, Chicken Teriyaki Sticks and Hot n Sour Soup. Their Fried Rice has no flavor at all. They basically take their brown rice and add vegetables, but charge extra if you just want brown rice. The egg rolls are heavy on the grease, but if you're hungover it doesn't matter. The sauces for the orange, sweet and sour and sesame chicken are all pretty much the same. Overall it's worth trying, reasonably priced and arrives hot with delivery. read more

I had the orange chicken bc of a recommendation from another yelper. It wasn't bad. I think there's too much breading to chicken ratio. The orange chicken dinner did come with a choice of fried, white or brown rice. I had the brown rice. I fell like it's the same as all the brown rice everywhere else. Dry. The food here does feel fresh. My dish came with two pieces of broccoli. The broccoli was fresh. Portions were a bit large but it's hot to have to share if you are eating with a group. Like many people on Christmas day, we sought out a Chinese take-out. Yelp provided the name Hunan Wok as the highest rated place in Delray. I cannot argue with the freshness of ingredients. I cannot argue with the speed, efficiency and correctness of our order. I do have an issue with the complete lack of flavor. When you bite into a Spring roll and all you taste is peanut oil, there is a problem. When you order the House Special soup and marvel at all the fresh veggies, wontons and quantity of meat, but taking a spoonful only to taste the "broth" and realize it's just water, there is a problem. When a six year old eats a "spicy" dish without complaint, there is a problem. If you like bland, this is a six star establishment just for you. If you think a Spring roll should taste like something other than the oil it is cooked in, you will need to look elsewhere. read more
