Hund N Kat was our first stop after brunch. Super-adorable store! Clean and organized. It's small but packed with unique, specialized, high-quality items. I especially loved the apparel -- the sweaters and jackets were so cute! I was sad that we didn't bring our Frenchies on this trip. Their larger neck and chest make sizing a bit difficult. The husband had to stop me from buying anything since coming back for an exchange would have been tough. We'll be back with Maggie and Percy! read more

How cute is this little pet boutique!? I loved taking a gander at all of the merchandise that was offered at this store. You could find gifts and accessories in all price ranges here. Items that stood out to me were the fuzzy strap pet carrier adjustable sling bags, the Maxbone raincoats, sweaters, harnesses, and toys. It was great to see some of the products I had seen online, in person. This place would be great if you are looking for gifting options :] I did not get greeted, however, I enjoyed my self-discovery here. read more

I don't know how long this cute little pet boutique has been here but it was a first time checking it out. Clearly I've missed it so many times as I didn't even know it was here. They have loads of cute things for your fur babies. Literally anything you can think of, they have it. Loads of toys to choose from. Then there's the apparel which it was a major selection for all kinds of dogs. Collars galore and the styles were really cute. It's like Paris Hilton walked in and would say, I'll take everything. Toys and carriers had a major selection too. It's one part pet boutique and the other part a candy store. I didn't noticed it till I was looking around and was like am I still in the same store. The sweet girl that was working both section was so friendly and welcoming. I also love that these places always have treats on hand for the fur babies. Really cute little pet store, with a super friendly staff! While walking around and exploring, we stumbled upon this cute pet store with all the pet things you could need! There weer super cute harnesses, clothing, and treats. I'm a sucker for bringing home my dog a homemade cookie when I'm out on a trip, so we picked up a windmill cookie from this spot. The worker here was so friendly, and I loved that he asked to see photos of my dog. My dog ended up loving the treat, and ate it up super quick when we gave it to him. read more

Family trip to Solvang will have you walking around town and popping into every little shop. Hund N Kat was no exception. Our furriest family member came along with us and I think he appreciated the unique products for sure. Considering we were visiting a Dutch town, this pet shop if far from run of the mill (pun intended) ;-) If it's low prices you need or a basic accessory for your pet, this is not a Petco. I've been coming here for a few years now when I come visit and it never disappoints i absolutely love everything in here for my fur baby. Everything is handmade like the catnip sliver vine kickers I get my fur baby she loves playing with these and I like them better than the regular catnip. They also have a wide selection for dogs from toys to treats same for cats. The collars & clothes are great quality as well plus the prices are very reasonable and affordable. The lovely owner is very sweet and funny thanks to her she's made solvang feel more at home for me and my family it's always a pleasure talking to her and catching up I look forward to coming to this store every visit. So glad we stopped by! Jack and I took a trip to Solvang and hear about this pet shop on the main streets of Solvang called Hund N Kat. I always love taking Jack to new pet stores and grabbing him a few treats and toys during all our trips and vacations. This store was definitely a great choice. The owner was super friendly and very nice. It's was a extremely hot day and Jack decided to lay on the nice cool floors inside the store, not only did this store have floor fans for the pups but the owner even gave Jack a free bone broth pop to cool down. Very kind of her to do. Then while we were shopping around we found these adorable hats for dogs. It was very sunny outside and a hat would definitely help Jack. At first we couldn't find the right size for Jack by the owner helped us find the perfect size for Jack and perfect color. Jack looked so good with the hat and was a great value that 3 other people asked us where we got his hat and wanted to buy some for their pups too! Jack loved the interaction and sweet treats! (: The Good: *Store is much bigger than you think, as there's two entrances with two distinctively different rooms inside. *The owners' kitties are in a window display (sometimes) for us to ooh and ahh over. *Great location in DT Solvang *They do pack in lots of stuff into this place; everything from food bowls and treats to beds and leashes. *Friendly, helpful service The Meh: *The prices are fairly reasonable, as they have some toys from $1.50 to $7, but they're pretty much what one would expect from a boutique. The Ugly: *While the location is great, this can also lead to big crowds, and it doesn't take much to make this place complete mayhem. We love this store! It's so cute and there's so many unusual and quality things and helpful products that our dog loved sniffing and shopping there! We bought a squirrel print sweater for our Shepard mix and a dog gear shoulder bag. I have to say the owner, Katie is very sweet and really was helpful. She is an animal lover for sure and we appreciate those small businesses that contribute special customer (in this case pet) attention which is so hard to find nowadays. This is the place to shop for your little puppies and kitties and the older ones who think they're still pups and kittens. A literal toy store for your pets. By far... the best Pet Boutique I've ever been to. The small selection is all that is needed. Full of items that you may have forgotten or items that you have been meaning to buy, and of course treats and snack that your pup or cat will love. What makes this place super special is that it is small town, small independently owned. Katie and Amy are the best and we love them. Our Wasabi dog visited Hund N Kat on his last day on earth and we bought him some items and we always thought how on his last day Wasabi brought our hearts together. We shared the news with Amy and Katie that our Wasabi had passed and they opened up their hearts and gave us the such needed love during this time. Let me just say that a small shop like this and with their hearts of gold, is so rare in today's time that they forever have a customer in us. This pet boutique is so cute and has so many adorable accessories and clothing for fur babies! I purchased a flannel Puplid hat for my dog here and had my dog wear it instantly. There were so many people smiling at my dog and asking my husband and I where we purchased the hat. I'm pretty sure more hats were sold that day thanks to our dog modeling it lol.
