Body massage was awful. The masseuse had long nails and was scratching me while rubbing down my back. Kept focusing on my spine and tailbone and when I told him it hurt he would just do it in another area. When I got home my back was already bruised and had broken capillaries. I couldn't relax cause I was bracing for each area he was going to do next. I'm sure the reflexology foot massages are better but I would never go back for a full body. Front desk lady also was pushy about tipping and when I brought up my concerns she said there was nothing she could do. A positive: they could get me in right away at 7:30 read more

Hung Fu Massage - Bruising and scratches already had formed by the time I got home - Massage Therapy Near Me - Overland Park, Kansas

Place is very clean. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. I called one hour before closing time, and they didn't even hesitate to accept my appointment for a full body massage. They even stayed open late to extend my appt. from 60mins to 90mins. Overall, Excellent customer service! Prices are very reasonable. Ample parking available. Really happy I gave this place a try. I'll return each time I'm in the metro area read more

I was part of the Chinese dragon boat race at the plaza two weeks ago and my shoulder hurt very bad. I asked a masseuse to work more on my right lower back and right shoulder and she did. I felt a lot better. read more

I took a chance on Hung Fu last year while visiting my parents who live two blocks away in Overland Park. When you have a lot of chronic pain and are traveling like I do, it can be a night mare to find not just a competent massage therapist, but one that hopefully excels. I took a chance based on the price. I came out of the session in a "massage fog". Massage fog is what you get when you get up from the massage table and your body is placid, your next moves of getting dressed and paying for the session are like a slow motion blur. You are so relaxed. There is a language barrier here, but they couldn't be more kind in trying to get your body to sink into the deeper depths of relaxation. If you need something specific from the session try to work it out on the Google Translation app. They all seem to have it on their cell phones. I was so impressed with the quality, that I brought my 82 year old mother in the next day for a birthday massage. She too had the exact same reaction at the end; Calmed, reduced pain and impressed beyond words. The only thing you need to be aware of is that tipping is not optional. They list the 3 different levels to choose from for tips. I think it's just a cultural difference. But it should be respected. It's their rules and it's not going to be a heavy strain on your wallet. They are delivering a superior experience. Please don't come to this place in Karen mode. That energy won't fly here. They don't understand or deserve disrespect. The base massage I got was $65.00 for one hour and then they give you a choice of $10, $20 and $30.00 dollars to tip. I just give them $100 and they are very appreciative of the amount. This is the American Dream in action. You truly want them to be supported and succeed because of the hard work they do. As I sometimes say "Don't be a drain, be a fountain". Come with an open mind and leave with the gratitude for the value you have received and that someone helped you take an hour out of your day to decompress and re form back into a nice human. read more

I slept funny one day and got up with neck and back pain, pretty bad that I had to skip work that day. I found this place hoped it was the right place for my needs. Real Chinese style massage, look for Mr. Li, he'll take care of you. read more

Ahhh. Had a stiff neck and headache. Wonderful relief! They really "hit the spot!" A must for relaxation!

Apparently tipping is mandatory. I had a 90 minute combo advertised for $90. When I checked out, I wanted to leave a $20 tip. The man scoffed and showed me the "mandatory tipping chart " which requires a $40 tip on all 90 minute services . I would have rathered being told that the 90 minute combo was $130 including tip. Since when are tips mandatory? The massage was good, however. read more

Very bad business practice. I paid hundreds of $ cash for several gift certificates to use over time. I tried to use one and they would not let me, saying they are new owners. Same place; same name. A business is a business and you inherit the customers when you buy a place. And I was a very good paying customer. Not any more. [In answer to the owner response, it was NOT expired. The date was intentionally left blank by the owner because he said I could use them ANY time. And there were no alterations either, other than a note that I'd used HALF of one of the three already. I explained all this but no-one understood what I was saying. Once the two people I was talking to started yelling at each other in some other language, I left.] read more

First of all I had no idea what to expect. I heard good things but yet there was nothing online about this place. So I went with my mom and did the combo massage which is full body and foot. The massage itself is more of the pushing and stretching version. Not the gentle rubbing kind but it still works and get the knots out. The reason why it got four stars is the language barrier. Which seemed okay until it was time to do the back massage. I was taken to a room and told to take my clothes off. It was confusing it took a little bet awakened gestures when the guy came back. That he wanted me to lay face down with the towel covering me. Apparently the person with my mom didn't even speak anything and just started undressing her. Not sure if I'll go back for the body massage but I'll defiantly come back for the foot massage. read more

I went to this establishment this evening. The lady providing the massage was very friendly. I told her I wanted a deep tissue massage. She repeated what I said and made a motion with her hands indicating deep tissue. This suggesting she was clear. When I went to the room, she started to walk on my back. This was ok but not what I requested. When she massaged my arms, legs and the entire front of my body, it was super light touches with very little pressure. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. When I got ready to leave, some guy at the desk said you need to tip. Since I was asked to pay before the service, I said "tipping is optional". He said in a loud voice, YOU MUST TIP! I said forcefully "No" and left the establishment! I am usually a significant tipper, but I don't think that tips are required for bad service. I came there after a long day looking for a deep tissue therapeutic massage and not for a back walk and soft body rub. I am NOT paying for that. If you want a light touch massage, maybe you would be fine, but medium to deep tissue will leave you very disappointed. read more

I went for a 30 minute foot massage with 2 other family members while I was visiting town for a few days. We booked same-day appointments on a Sunday! So surprised this place was open! This is a different experience than a typical massage, and our 30-minute food massages included head/shoulder/arm work at the beginning by 3 skilled massage therapists. The reflexology portion of the massage is great. You don't undress; you just remove any binding clothing or neck jewelry and lay back and enjoy. The place is decorated with a lot of dark curtains, a little low-budget, but I think that allows this crew to keep their low prices, which I will totally take in exchange for new expensive furnishings any day. Our 30-minute massages were only $25 each. Go there. Go with a friend or boyfriend or girlfriend and have fun with it. It's a nice little treat that you'll want to repeat. :) read more

Amazing massage! The guy was good and made it a relaxing massage with the music. Highly recommend!

Very good, the back is obviously relaxed, it can reduce my stress, and it can also relax me. Shiatsu oil makes me feel relaxed. The movement is soft and slow. I like it very much. read more

I purchased a 45 minute foot massage for $30. At the entrance, I saw a sign showing "$10 for one hour massage, if you're satisfied." I asked the receptionist how much would be the tip for a 45 minute massage, adding that tips in general should be 15%. She called someone and talked in Chinese briefly and then took me to the Massage room. I thought she accepted my suggestion. After massage was done, I walked out to the cahier to pay. Here I learned that tips should be paid in cash. I only had a $20 bill. I expected the cashier to give me back $15.50. The woman produced $11 for change, chattering something in Chinese, and disappeared behind the wall. I waited for a while but she didn't return so I left. They charged me 30% for a tip, $9.00. I'll never go to this place again. They're dishonest. read more

This is my go-to place for foot reflexology!! After a couple of not so pleasant experiences at the popular location in Westport, I found this place in a little strip mall, and I'm so glad I did! They do an awesome job at a very affordable price. If I want a little more pampering, I go for the combo- which is foot reflexology and full body massage. If I'm in a hurry, I do a 45 min foot reflexology and every time they do not disappoint. I highly recommend this place! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday to see if they could take 2 walk ins. We were able to get in right away with no wait. Place was clean with friendly service. We both did the 1 hour combo and were happy with quality. Not the best massage I have had, but good value for money. read more

First time here,I was completely disappointed. I asked for a soft massage and for a female a small statured lady came and started working on my back it felt like she was ripping my skin off I kept letting her know it was getting painful she eased off and then continue the method. She was hurting me then I heard a crack " screamed, she c screamed" I told her enough and she continued. I ended it and was in so much pain If you plan to go here don't allow this woman to touch you. I didn't want to pay,but I was in so much pain and just wanted to get out of there! I've been on a heating pad ever since. Worst nightmare of my life!!! I don't even want to give it a star, but have too just to warn the next person, be careful you can possibly get injured! read more

Great quality massage, very clean inside. 60 minute foot massage very relaxing and a great price.

Sometimes I get a really great massage and sometimes I don't. It seems as the men are better. I know it is hard to give massages all day, but I always tip very well. I just cannot seem to find a consistent reflexology in KC area read more

I had a wonderful experience here that exceeded my expectations (disclaimer: I keep expectations suuuuper low so I'm hardly disappointed lol). I walked in and waited a minute or so before a man walked over to help me out and get situated. I had not made an appointment and was expecting to wait but to my surprise it was fairly empty besides me and two other ladies (granted, I came in around 10am). The man asked me to wait which I was okay with since I had nothing else to do and he made a quick phonecall to call in reinforcements and shortly after a man and woman came in to help out which was right on time because then his phone kept ringing off the hook for appointments and such. If you've never been to a "foot reflexology" massage place before here's a quick run down: you'll ask for foot massage, but they'll massage your whole body: head, neck and shoulder, arms, legs, back. This happens fully clothed and they drape a towel over you and they use lotion (I saw that someone complained about the lotion, but personally I prefer this over oil because 1) I don't feel like the bottom of a McDonald's togo bag at the end of my session haha, 2) it's m o i s t u r i z i n g, 3) this place uses unscented lotion so it's not irritating to the skin and nose!). I had a male masseuse that just arrived, fortunately enough. The only downside was that the man and woman who came to help were arguing at first and arguing very loudly at that to the point where the woman raised her voice, technically n o t the most relaxing environment. One of the most outstanding part of this whole experience was that my masseuse asked how my pressure I wanted to be applied: hard/medium/soft. Being someone who frequents places like these, I've never had someone ask me that before and this was perfect because I'm a wimp and super ticklish. In addition to this, the man paid close attention to my trouble areas without me even mentioning it! I came in with pain next to my right shoulder blade and lower back and he focused more time and energy to treating those areas -- again, without me even mentioning it to him! Like I said before, I frequent foot reflexology places like this and no one has paid this much attention and effort to me like this. Overall, I would definitely come back when I get the chance (and not suffer from broke-medical-student-itis) and would recommend people go to here. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for the name of my masseuse, but he was the bald man with the glasses for those wondering -- he was great! read more

Without a doubt this was the worst "professional" message experience I've ever had. My fiance and I went in for a 1hr "combo" message. We were placed in a shared room, which we didn't ask for. They had us lay on our backs and left all clothes on except our socks. They soaked our feet in what appeared to be rubbermaid storage totes. (Or experiences are almost identical so i'l tell mine but it applied to both) Then proceed to awkwardly rub my face with LOTION. She worked down to my neck and started shoving her arms inside the neck of my shirt. I quickly insisted on removing my shirt to save it from damage. From the it just got worse. It honestly felt like a child just started randomly running on my body. No technique, no attention to trouble areas. The "foot massage" was just as pointless. We both had to ask repeatedly for harder pressure. Neither got it. We should've walked out in the middle but tried to not be rude. We are not strangers to massages and get them almost weekly. I thought it would be a good idea to try somewhere new and close to home. I WAS WRONG. NEVER AGAIN and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Great stress/pain relieving massage, and very affordable. $50 for an hour! Love that I don't need an appt. Nice people.

Not bad but they are not professional and just robbing your bosy with oil. Nothing special and I wouldn't recommend it. It's a bit high but it seems in Kansas City area massage is expensive. read more

Clean, peaceful, and super relaxing. Will be back for sure! Staff are incredible, and do excellent work!

A friend and I have been driving by this spot for months and have been a little scared to go in. It doesn't look like much from the outside. We finally decided to give it a try tonight. We each got a half hour foot massage for $19. They started with a few minutes on our faces and necks while our feet soaked in hot water and then they did about 20 minutes of foot massaging. The massages ended with about 5 minutes of leg pressure/massaging. Everyone was very nice and we left feeling totally relaxed. Glad I finally decided to give this place a go. I will definitely be back! read more

Excellent place - would definitely recommend. Came in with my wife. Excellent service, and nice environment. I did the 60 minute body massage for $55, very reasonable pricing. Tina was the masseuse and she did a wonderful job. I enjoyed the hot stones also. My wife did the 60 minute foot massage for $35, and it was also wonderful. We have been to many different massage places, and this place is a definite must try. It's probably better to call for an appointment in advance to make sure they can fit you in. read more

My husband and I went in for a massage. He is pleased with his. I thought mine just hurt because I was tight, though it was definitely more painful than any other massage I received before. Worst place I've ever set foot into. My GF and I tried to have a couples massage, but shortly into it, she had to stop the massage because the girl would not stop pushing so hard, and it was very uncomfortable..not relaxing at all. It was at this point that I realized our masseuses had switched, and she got the girl that I had just had problems with. This was NOT massage therapy...it was NOT relaxing, and it was obvious they had NO formal training, and were NOT real massage therapists. I tried continuing on, but the other one kept doing weird things - constantly scratching my head like a dog, flipping my earlobes, and putting her fingers in my ears - none of this done lightly, or in a therapeutic manner. She gave me a horrible headache. When I told her I was done, she grabbed my clothes and threw them at me, and all over the bed. This place ought to be investigated, and and I am certain there is no one there that is properly trained or licensed to do this. Do not believe these other reviewers...they must not know what a proper massage is. Someone could easily get hurt. It would also help if someone there spoke English, so that you could tell them that they are hurting you, or doing something wrong. It was like getting a backrub from a truck. When we left, they quickly locked the door behind us, and closed the curtains, even though we decided to pay them. They were rude, and something was very odd about the way they handled themselves....DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE....I'm about to file a formal complaint with BBB. read more
