A friend told me about her positive experience with her foot detox elsewhere, so I gave it shot here because I read the staff is friendly and professional. After the detox, I didn't notice any changes and the experience was not what I expected. I go to both locations, this location is far better, the staff is more open to address your needs if you tell them. My right shoulder had a rotator cuff issue and they spent a little more time on it. I now have much better movement. The other location also feels like they are trying to upsell you and not happy when you don't buy the upsell. read more

I have friends who rave about this place and I finally bit the bullet and decided to give it a go! I paid to just get my neck and shoulders done, and I ended up with basically a full body massage. It was an incredible price and experience (if you like a little pain). I have actually never gotten a massage before so I wasn't sure what to expect. This is a place with one large room full of anyone who is getting services. If you're expecting privacy it's not the place for you. That being said, it was clean, quiet, dark, and incredibly relaxing. You remain clothed unlike many massage type places, and overall they hurt you so good and you leave feeling relaxed and peaceful. Woah. This place is INTENSE!!! I've been here twice and both times I got the deal on Groupon. The first time around I had no idea what to expect. All of the customers receive their massages in the same room which I expected to be strange but it really wasn't at all for some reason. The massage starts with a lovely face and foot massage (this was the 60 minute full massage but they have options) and your feet are left in warm water for a lot of the beginning portion. Let me tell you what though, when you turn around on your stomach and they start on your back it is a whole other story. They GO FOR IT. These guys are pretty big and put their full force into your back. They literally use their elbows and dig them into you. If you can't handle it, I know they'd pull back, but I like the deep deep massage. Not gonna lie though, it can get hard to breathe so don't forget that part. It's weirdly calming and when it's over you feel like they really did a good job. You can really tell they know what they're doing and the points on your body that they touch are all very intentional. I recommend if you're open to a serious deep tissue massage! read more

My masseur was so strong and he hit all my reflexology spots so perfectly. I could feel my whole body relaxing as he worked on me. I kinda don't want to tell anyone about this place. If you're into athletic-like massages and you do not care too much about getting a massage in an open room, you'll be in love. The prices are incredibly affordable and you'll leave on cloud nine. My husband and I went last Saturday around 11 and had the place to ourselves in the beginning. By the time we wrapped our 70 minute massage, a few others had had joined. We both loved our experiences with Daniel and Amy. Easy to book online or over the phone. If you have any questions, the front desk was really helpful. The space felt clean and was relaxing. You can hear people coming in and walking through, but this didn't bother me very much. One large room where everyone gets their massage. I literally thought I was going to die with the amount of pressure they put into my back. Not relaxing at all I kind of felt anxious the whole time. Update: still loving this place. I think I have devoted 1/4 of my paycheck so far. I get migraines so I love the relaxing atmosphere. There is sort of a musty smell but I think it might be there fireplaces that hang on the wall for ambience. I actually love that smell. Just so you know there is no hanky-panky going on here. You're fully clothed and you'll have XL towel over you. They do not massage your front torso, only the back of your legs and your back as well as your forehead neck arms and feet if you choose the 60-minute. Turn your cellphone off. You will be in a large very dark open room where other customers are getting their massages. Your feet will soak while they work on your sinus area. They did a decent job but did not ask for any type of medical history. ALWAYS ask the customer for this info. (My back and hips are out of alignment). I stopped him a few times although I should have spoken up more. It was incredibly painful. As far as Reflexology, it was a glorified foot massage. I don't know if the staff is certified in Reflexology but that was not what I got. No work on trigger points, meridians or channels. Huge disappointment. And say "Thank you". I'm a nurse and just got done working 4 12 hour shifts in a row- needless to say my whole body was aching and I needed something done. This place was amazing. You enter a dim room where others are as well. Very nice and quiet with calm music playing in the background. Your face is covered with a towel to allow a relaxing experience. I recommend wearing pants that allow folding up for the massage to happen. They are respectable and let you know when to turn on your stomach for your back massage if you are receiving that. I just give 4/5 stars because at the end of the massage they told me I was done but I was still waiting with my face down thinking they would hand me my shirt to put on, as I had my glasses off and I couldn't see where it was! This place is a hidden jewel and less crowded than similar kinds of businesses. Parking is easy, it's clean and quiet, and the staff are very kind, professional and courteous. Plus the price is quite reasonable and the massages are wonderful, especially if you like deep tissue. This is the greatest self care habit in the world. For what you get, you really can't beat the price. It's like a full body massage and foot soak combined together. My favorite part about Tao is that it's the first massage in my life where I didn't experience lower back pain from the table or chair. They noticed right away that I have a little extra padding on my butt making my spine curve a little more than most. They lifted the table into more of a chair and placed a pillow in the gap between my back and the chair. Worked like a charm. Now I got almost every week. They are the friendliest group of people and are so kind. And if you don't like something, you just say it and they correct it immediately. AWE SOME. I can't believe I can only give 5 stars! This place is so totally worth it. I have never had an issue with my appointment time - I now book my next visit before I leave. I had a frozen shoulder and after going to PT and paying double for PT my shoulder was no better after 6 weeks. I started coming to TR in Mission and mentioned to the front desk about my shoulder. Not only is the price stupid reasonable, but you get head-to-toe treatment to boot! My frozen shoulder is now gone after a couple of months. One month, I went weekly, then dropped to every other week. Even though my shoulder is now okay, I am still booking every other week. It's my self-indulgence. I made a mistake and Tao Reflexology took advantage of it. I got an email from a new reflexology place that opened 4 blocks down from Tao. Made an appt. 2 for 1 special. Accidentally ended up at Tao. Gave our names to the receptionist when we checked in. She acted like she was marking them off on a list. Told her I had already chosen service online when making the appt. Still no reaction. We had our services. Really much more rough than either of us prefer. I see another review also thought that. We go to pay at the end and then it is that the guy at the desk talks to us and we discover our mistake when we pull up the email confirmation of our appt. We are in the wrong place. So we paid for both services. My daughter called the next day and talked to the receptionist who checked us in. She still would not admit her devious behavior. Said we had an appointment which was impossible. Finally admitted to my daughter that it had happened one other time earlier in the week. So she knew exactly what she was doing when we showed up there. So you may or may not like their services. We definitely did not appreciate their unethical business practice. read more

The last visit (today) I made an appointment on line and then even confirmed via phone because in the past they acted like my on-line reservation was "lost". The man who answered the phone confirmed my appointment time yet when I arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment time I was told it would be a 30 minute wait. The visit before I watched as a man who came in right before me was told he'd have to wait even though he had an appointment. The service is okay, if somewhat intense (like the person working on you is not a willing participant), but the inability to keep a tidy appointment schedule is what will keep me from returning. read more

I went into this with no idea what to expect but I noticed the reviews were solid. I work with the use of a standing desk at my M-F job and I'm a bartender on weekends so needless to say I'm on my feet a lot. I've been feeling a lot of pain, soreness, and exhaustion so I thought Reflexology was a good place to start. Their place was easy to find and I love that I could schedule an appointment online. The system even allows you to cancel or reschedule if you need to. I walked in for my appt, I was immediately shown to the room, and was quickly greeted by the "masseuse". I used quotations because I don't even know if that's their title in this type of relation. I will admit that I do not like deep tissue massages, but she was able to work through a lot of knots in my back. It hurt like hell and I wanted to yell out in pain, but luckily with other customers in the room, I was able to keep it to a silent whimper. There were moments of relaxation while also working through areas of my body that hold stress. I'm glad I decided to check them out as it was definitely worth the experience. I say that because after I was finished with my appointment, I thought for sure that they had given me a better package then what I ordered based on all of the areas she was able to address. read more
