I finally tried Saltie Jax at Crave Food Hall in Ocean Springs, after spotting them on social media…read morea few times. This was my first visit to Crave, and it's a nice setup with a few different eateries. I went for their "Crabster," a lobster roll with some crab and a special sauce. The price was $38, which I'd already expected, and I felt it was a pretty fair one-time splurge. The lobster was good--definitely a solid portion, though not the most life-changing bite I've ever had. It came with a side of potato chips, which.... eh. Overall, it was a good experience--something fun to try, especially if you haven't had a lobster roll before. The food hall itself didn't completely wow me, but it was a nice spot. I'd give the lobster roll 4 stars--worth a visit, but probably not a frequent go-to for me. The service was friendly...

WORTH THE WAIT!! After hearing about their successful food truck, we had to try Salty Jax Seafood--…read morenow located at CRAVE Food Hall in Ocean Springs. When we arrived Saturday night, there was already a line! Make sure to check out their Facebook page before you go for updates. I got the Connecticut Lobster Roll and hubby got the Cajun Lobster Roll, both came with chips. First bite-- HEAVENLY!! The lobster was perfectly warm and buttered, and the roll it sat on was nicely toasted and slightly sweet. There was about a 30 minute wait until we got a text that our food was ready. However, we already expected that our food would take a bit of time, considering how long the line was. Overall, we enjoyed the food and had a great time inside the food hall!

Starting out with food truck and now with more permanent home in the Ocean Springs Crave food hall…read more If you are craving for some traditional Filipino food? this is your place! As you drive up. You may notice that they only have limited side street parking and just walk over. However, not many people know they also just built a new parking garage behind them. Understandable, not many people know that. Just realize that the first floor is reserved for hotel parking and the upper floors are free public parking. They do have limited (2) electric charging stations on the first floor. They do offer stairs and elevator access for the parking garage. It was highly recommended that we should go. They mentioned they serve traditional food of Philippines with an American twist. Several of us thought we should check it out. We had to start with the sisig and the lumpia as an appetizer. Pork sisig is a traditional Filipino dish made from various parts of the pig. The meat is boiled, chopped, and then grilled, often seasoned with calamansi, onions, and chili peppers, and typically served sizzling hot plate. Lumpiang Shanghai (also known as Filipino spring rolls, or simply lumpia or lumpiya) is a Filipino deep-fried appetizer consisting of a mixture of giniling (ground pork) with vegetables like carrots, chopped scallions or red onions and garlic, wrapped in a thin egg crêpe. Lumpiang Shanghai is regarded as the most basic type of lumpia in Filipino cuisine, and it is usually smaller and thinner than other lumpia variants They said I had to get the burger. It highly recommended. Oklahoma Pinoy Double Smash burger- made with two delicious smashed ground beef with cheese, bacon, shredded sweet onions, shredded papaya, pickles, and house made sauce on sweet brioche bun . Served with fresh made fries. The pork adobo looks amazing! But then again I was thinking with my hungry stomach and noticed the people ahead of us ordered it too. Pork Adobo is made with succulent pork belly braised in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and onions. A delicious balance of salty and savory, this hearty stew is the Philippines' national dish for a good reason! Of course, served with rice. Washed it down with some fresh bottled drinks. If you wish for something else. They several options or alcoholic options next door. Drink responsibly. They brought out our order promptly. It does not seem like a lot of food. It is very filling. Overall, it was delicious! We were so full. They came by to check on us and ask if we wanted some dessert. We were full and satisfied but had to get some halo halo to go. Halo Halo - popular cold dessert in the Philippines made with crushed ice, evaporated milk or sometimes coconut milk, and flavoring such as ube jam (ube halaya), sweetened kidney beans or garbanzo beans, coconut strips, sago, gulaman (agar), pinipig, boiled taro or soft yams in cubes, flan, slices or portions of fruit preserves, and other root crop preserves. The dessert is often topped with a scoop of ube ice cream and sometimes other fruit-based ice cream flavors like melon or coconut, though it is just as likely to go without ice cream as well. It is usually prepared in a tall clear glass and served with a long spoon.Halo-halo is considered to be the unofficial national dessert of the Philippines. This place is a welcoming great addition to the area. The seating is very open. With plenty of space. Bench seats are lightly padded and the chairs are mainly hard wood. They do have tables outside. Either treat yourself inside the a/c or enjoy the outdoor environment with the fan blowing a breeze. Definitely recommend it when the weather permits. They offer free WiFi. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only that but everyone checks on you to make sure your experience is the best possible. Make this part of your experience!
