As someone who has been to Mexico and lived in California I am telling y'all this is truly authentic anywhere on the Mississippi coast is not anywhere near authentic! Not bad. More than 15 years of my life were spent enjoying street tacos in Southern California. These tacos were not the same... but they weren't half bad. The meat was flavorful and cooked nicely. The tortillas were traditional and the the cilantro and onions were simple and classic. They came with a crema on the side that was good too. The location has a nice parking area and seating inside or outside. The lady at the counter was so incredibly friendly to us and everyone else that came. As usual Rosita's always impresses. Sometimes the social media presence of this restaurant has me second guessing, but in person all of the staff is friendly. The food is ALWAYS good no matter what I've gotten. My most recent fave is the chicken fajita and birria eggrolls. The pineapple sauce it comes with is next level when adding to the taste. Wow! Fernando was a great guy to wait on us & his namesake burrito was huge. Never had birria & it was so good.

Absolutely amazing every time! They have unique menu items, and are always creating new things to try! This time I had the birria egg rolls, which were SO GOOD! The wrappers were crispy and flakey, and the filling was juicy and cheesy! I also got some tacos and churros! Don't forget the agua frescas! I had watermelon dressed with chamoy & Tajín and it was sooooo good! They are always super sweet and helpful there. There is indoor seating and a new outdoor patio when the weather is nice! This little Taco Shop has more than just the Best Birria on the Coast ... they have the Biggest hearts. Their service is top notch notch ! They ALWAYS greet you with a smile ... But today the Rosita Magic was extra Special ! My brother has Terminal Cancer and is home on Hospice. He hasn't eaten in Days. I've mentioned his favorites that I could pick up for him but he said nah he wasn't hungry. Well Rosita's is on my way home, on my lunch break I picked him up some Ramen and some Fruity Pebble Tres Leches Cake another favorite... and before I left Mama said we will be praying for you all. I believe her wholeheartedly because you aren't just customers to Mama your family! This is the best dang Mexican food I've ever had! I got the Birria ramen and egg roll combo and my wife got the loaded fries with carne asada. When I opened the boxes to see which was which, the aromas were heavenly. The food tasted at least as amazing as it smelled! The staff is friendly and attentive, even for a takeout order. The restaurant is cozy with a small dining room and patio seating area as well as a flock of ducks that are clearly used to being fed. I will definitely be back because there were a lot more dishes I'd like to try on the menu! read more

This isn't Taco Bell!!!! I believe what throws people off about this Taco Shop is the authentic Mexican food that is cooked for hours and made with care. The seasoning was awesome and flavors were amazing. Hubby and I shared tacos and quesadillas... one was corn shell one was flour, we wanted to experience both. We also had the corn without the hot Cheetos. I've never had anything like it and will experience it again! Delicious! The counter with limited menu are right at the entrance. They serve coke and Pepsi. They had beer bottles on the shelf that hubby didn't notice until we sat. He probably would have a beer if we knew. The service was professional, the menu and beef preparation was explained and we were hooked!!! The restaurant is small but a great step up from the food truck, which is where this restaurant originated. There is no music and it's Uncomfortably cold inside. My friend and I got the birria quesadilla and the taco plate with birria and chicken tacos. First of all, the servings were large: we had to get a couple to-go boxes. And the food was phenomenal!! The birria almost melted in our mouths, it was so tender! The seasonings were perfect and everything tasted so fresh and homemade. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. Was really looking forward to trying Rositas after reading the reviews and pics of limited menu items looked good. The Birria tacos were dry and chewy, lacking in flavor. I've had good birria tacos and these weren't. The people leaving rave reviews about taste have probably never had berria tacos before, that or they consider salt and pepper "seasoned". The Berrian ramen was met and the burrito would have probably been better if it was chicken (had to get beef due to no chicken available). If you have a limited menu you should never run out of items and those items should be off the chart delicious. Wish em the best of luck but enough word gets out that menu will stay limited. read more
