Hungry Howie is a great tasting pizza place. I would rate them higher but their failing is for me is the length of time it takes from order to delivery. It's always 75 plus mins, cost per pizza can be quite high and finally their app isn't that great. With that said, they do not disappoint in their pizza offerings and crust flavors. Would love to see better bundle deals and quicker turnaround. When that happens, will change this to a 5 star review! read more

im from Detroit and I usually like Hungry Howie's pizza so I was excited to try the Detroit style. I was disappointed, this was not Detroit style. The crust needs to be precooked before adding the sauce or you are left with uncooked soggy crust. Consider changing the construction of the pizza and I'll consider trying it again. read more

This is for the clinton utah store U can't find. It's is si trash though as I didn't get my refund or my order. They need to fire all of the staff there and hire people that care more about customers then door dash, and making money from theft that the driver will split with them. I first tried Hungry Howies Down in St.George and was super excited when I saw they had one In Layton. I ordered last night and it was 10/10. By far the best pizza I ever had! It's soft, fresh, and with the perfect amount of topping ratio. The pizza just melts in your mouth. Oh and if you love garlic butter you are going to love theirs! It was so fresh and tasted so good! Let me start off by saying, I'm not a huge fan of pizza. Hungry Howie's is hands down THEE only pizza I will consume. WOW. Nothing but good things to say here. I came in June 8th, right before closing. I felt bad, but my son and I were hungry, and we decided we'd give HH a try. The cashier was super sweet (The receipt name says Macy!) and understanding. She let us know it would be about twenty minutes before our order was ready, and we didn't mind waiting. We waited out front for our order to be ready, and a man happily greeted us with our order. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and a stuffed cheese bread. It was SO hot and fresh, and the bread was so cheesy! My son and I both liked it the best! We have been sitting here eating it and telling everyone about it! I'm obsessed! Thank you for making our night better and exceeding our expectations! We will be back!! read more

I really want to like this place but no one ever answers the phone, we tried a slice at a school carnival and it was ok, they even gave us free pizza coupons. That was 2 months ago, we try almost every weekend and no one answers. We then drove to there Layton location and it was closed. Not sure what's going on. read more

My children requested Hungry Howie's recently, as they like the flavored crusts. Well, what a nightmare experience that turned out to be! I went online and ordered pizza via the Google Slice app at 3:45 pm, to be picked up an hour later at 4:45 pm. When I got to the store on time at 4:45 pm, they initially stated that they couldn't find my order? After a few minutes of searching, they did find the order but stated that it hadn't been paid for? I tried to explain that it was pre-paid through Slice; however, they were unable to verify that, So I gave them another credit card and paid for the order. Then, they tell me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes? What the heck? I had to call Slice and wait while it took15 plus minutes to get the charge to my credit card stopped and reversed. To their credit, the Slice personnel were very accommodating and they even called the store in order to try and explain the situation; however, to no avail. So, to recap - order was placed an hour early and pre-paid, order was initially not found at the store, but was eventually located, order wasn't ready on time, and the order was charged twice. The pizzas were OK; however, the overall experience left quite a bad taste in my mouth. P.S. one thing that I failed to mention above was that the manager never came out from behind the counter to explain anything that happened. Not once, which was somewhat frustrating as well. Also, don't trust the B.S. responses provided by their "Business Customer Service" team, as when you dial that number, all they do is route you back to the store. I'm happy to be the first to leave this place a Yelp review. When I stopped in there, they said that they had been in business for 5 weeks. It used to be a Sonic Express or something to that affect. I was in the neighborhood and was by myself for lunch, and I noticed it and stopped by. It is mostly a takeout or delivery place, but they do have a small bar with three stools to sit and eat at and a bench for people to sit while they wait for their food to go. I sat and ate there. I had a small Meat Eaters with Garlic and Herb seasoned crust and a bottle of soda. The pizza was made to order and you could tell that it was made with fresh ingredients and care. The seasoned crust was delicious! If you are a person that might eat the pizza and leave the crust like I sometimes am, this is a place where you want to eat the entire crust... at least if it is fresh and not reheated the next day. I had never heard of Hungry Howies before, but I guess it is a large chain... I'm just discovering it locally though. I was quite impressed! One of the better pizzas that I have had in Layton. This was my first time visit here today. I didn't quite know what to expect. I had hoped for a single serving slice but was offered a small personal pizza instead. I ordered a cheese pizza with an asiago crust. The product I received was just fabulous. The crust was perfect. The pizza was hot, the cheese and sauce were fresh and tasty. It was exactly what I hoped I would find and more. I interacted with three staff members: the one who took the order by phone, the one I met at the window for pick up, and a third one who greeted me in the parking lot asking whether or not I had received my order yet. Hungry Howie's (aka) the last good old fashioned American Pizza place. They have paper plates, peppers & Parmesan packets that you can help yourself to for no additional charge. They forgot one topping on our pizza and I'm not even made because I didn't have to wash dishes or bust out my own Parmesan or chili flakes. read more

Preordered pizza for a specific time for my daughters birthday party. My husband even called to confirm and were told everything was good to go. It was told me 1 hour for delivery. @1 hour and 20 minutes we called and the restaurant manager said they never made the order. This is a newer location. I order every Sunday since 2/2020 and the food is always consistent and they make sure to apply the best coupons when I call In. I've met the managers Sheldon and Garret and they run the store really well, the employees like their work and the quality of the food is consistent. Recently I began ordering the gluten-free small pizza and I'm really satisfied with it. We usually order a large stuffed crust well done. #1 best thing about Howie's was the friendliness of the employees. We're from Idaho and decided to get pizza late Sunday evening. We went to the drive thru and were greeted by a happy person that was eager to help us with our decision making. We ordered a Howie pizza and an Italian sandwich. They said it'd be 15 minutes so we went to Winco and picked up a couple things. We returned and parked in front, two minutes later another friendly employee brought our pizza out. Their crust is awesome as is the flavor options for the crust. Everything tasted fresh. The sub was actually the best part though. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Next time we're back in town we'll be visiting Howie's again! read more

The last two times we got pizza there we noticed they DO NOT skimp on the toppings! Additionally it has been ready at the promised times. Picking up is also super easy with their drive through! Terrible! We ordered a pizza. After 55 minutes we finally asked them where the pizza was. They had run out of dough and didn't think about telling us -- really. They were just going to credit back our card, so we were off to someplace else for dinner. Two weeks later we got our card statement and they had never credited us back. So we called them. They actually told us that they mistakenly credited back someone else's credit card and it was too late to do anything about it. SERIOUSLY!!! Hungry Howie's is pretty brand new to this location. They took over the Sonic 3D building after it was vacant for a few months. They have an easy online ordering system and delivery has been a quick both times. The first time we dId 2 medium pizzas and a Howie bread. We got one thin crust sausage with butter cheese crust flavor and one regular crust pepperoni with garlic herb crust flavor and then a deep dish cheese Howie bread. Both of those pizzas were very good (7.5/10), however the Howie bread was the star of the show. It had perfect flavor and a great cheese to bread ratio. 10/10 for the bread. The second time we got deep dish pepperoni pizza with buttery crust flavor and bbq boneless wings. I'd also give the pizza a 7.5-8/10 as it was also very good. I'd personally like to see a little less cheese as it was kind of overwhelming, but the taste was very good. 3/10 for the wings and the primary reason for my 3 star revIew. Would give 3.5 if possible. The wings were not covered with sauce. In fact, they barely had any. They also were not well breaded or well cooked. Breading was soft and gooey instead of crispy. It wasn't like it was gooey from sauce either, as there was minimal sauce on the wings. They were kind of luke-warm and had the taste of a microwave chicken nugget. I have gotten pizza from this location many times and it's always been very tasty, very good pizza. The only downside is their pizzas are a little more on the expensive side but in my opinion it's made of higher quality ingredients than Dominos or Pizza Hut. The one thing I think sets them apart from other pizza places are the flavored crusts, which I really enjoy. They make pizza taste even better. I highly recommend getting the buffalo chicken pizza and getting the ranch flavored crust. read more

Manager left me voicemail that they credited wrong card and could no longer give me credit and that I would have to dispute with my card company. I did. They told me since it was for so little that they would just write it off. Told them NO you make Hungry Howies 02114 give you back what they agree they owe. Hungry Howies didn't respond to card company request so my card company ate the cost. I filed BBB and Utah division of consumer protection complaints over this (at best) poor business practice.
