The store is small and cute…read more I absolutely adored being surrounded by Spanish speakers. We very much felt at home, amongst Venezuelans. For our meal we ordered two domino arepas (sub "yellow cheese" because they were out of white cheese); Tequenõs and a Venezuelan cheese empanada. Inside all the seating was taken so we moved to the outdoor seating. It took 30 minutes for the 3 tequenõs, 45 minutes for our arepas, (and they ended up refunding our empanada because they were out of cheese again). No water offered or glasses provided while we waited. I wish we could say our food was worth the wait but sadly it the cheese was cold. The beans were unsalted and unspiced. The arepa itself was thin and crispy (but also needed salt).... or ironically longer on the grill? Thank goodness I added plantains to mine otherwise I wouldn't have eaten it. Truly the worst arepa I've had. I didn't know there was anyone that preferred cold cheese or unspiced unsalted beans. Shockingly bland I don't recommend. Was so happy to hear of a Venezuelan spot near to us. So bummed this was our experience. Their veggie options definitely need work.

The meats were cooked well and complemented well with all the dressing and zesty lemon slices. Portion sizes are on the smaller side though, and I would've preferred to pay a little more to have 3 tacos per portion rather than 2. But still great! They have great outdoor seating which is good when the weather is good, but it's right next to the road so may be a bit noisy

They also have all day happy hour on Sundays which is pretty awesome since we went there on a Sunday night! For drinks, we got their non-alcoholic pina colada which was good.. like any other pina colada :) For appies we ordered their queso fundido, without the meat. It was cheesy for sure and came with a side of four soft tortillas, it was kind of like make your own tacos. I liked it! And it was also on the happy hour menu. For mains - :: Carnitas taco - it came with pineapple pico which I didn't hate but I though the shredded pork wasn't the most juicy. :: pescado taco - SOO GOOD! The fish was really crispy :: papas chorreads - potatoes in creamy sauce with feta and paprika.. you can't go wrong :: pan de maize - sweet griddle cornbread with burnt onion butter. OH this was so good, it melted in your mouth! I would definitely return!!
