I've reviewed Gloria's under the supermarket next door before Again, they are super consistent on the tacos. Learned they make their own corn tortilla chips in house, they are my favourite as it has more of a bite and a solid crunch compare to the more popular flakey tortillas. The lady in the front was super nice and very informative this last visit. Barbacoa and Pasteur was on the menu this time, both overflowing with meat and fillings. Always bring your containers as I had to pack them to go. Those little things of having salsa in a squeeze bottle rather than rationed out in tiny sauce cups makes dining at La Gloria's enjoyable. read more

I came here with my friend C, I ordered a Horchata along with some tacos (chicken, asada and pastor). The taco were tasty. The horchata was a bit bland. The price was not bad given that I was full at the end. The restaurant itself is not fancy. It is a eat and go place. The restaurant is also connected to the Mexican grocery store next door. Service is a hit and miss. There is really no service. IT is a place that you pretty much order and get your food and sit down and eat. Overall, I did enjoy my meal and I will definitely be back. read more

It has been a while since I last dined here. The menu is still the same though the prices have gone up. I had my favorite enchilada and it came with rice, refried beans, lots of cheese and greens. Somehow the refried beans is no longer as good as before. It's ok but not as smooth or tasty. I won't be thinking about it in future now. They do close early some days so call before going. The hours on google map are not accurate. It had been closed around 8 pm when Google indicated 9 pm as the closing time. So I had to go elsewhere. It is attached to a small market which sells raw meat and other stuff like pantry food and snacks. Do spend some time there browsing or buying food. Parking is available out front. read more

I have ate here several times now, each time I enjoy their food. I love that they have Menudo on a daily basis. If dining in, you'd order and pay at the counter, and they will bring it to your table. Their taco truck location is a bit hidden. They are a mile or 2 north of their original La Gloria market. Their food was decent nothing outstanding. Their tacos have a good amount of meat on them. I had a gringa as well and that was by far my favorite. Their prices are inexpensive. They have several seating areas outside in a garden type setting. They also have a small market next to the truck, not much products to choose from except for drinks and a minor selection of bread, candy and other miscellaneous items. Customer service from some of the staff was nice others not so much. We seemed to be a nuisance to the cashier which is always a turn off for me. I'd go back for the 'gringas.' read more

The best-tasting Mexican food we've found in Bellingham so far. I got the Chile Verde which was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and tender, and the flavors were spot on. My wife got the Carne Asada. Not quite as impressive as the Chile Verde, but still quite good. Every individual component felt considered. The ambiance isn't super nice, but for a little order-at-the-counter spot attached to a grocery store, it's perfectly fine. read more

The morning after my daughter's wedding and we craving for some nice breakfast. Went to Birch Door Cafe, because we heard some much about the place. Unfortunately, the wait was an hour. That was not going to work as we were already getting hangry. Checked on Yelp for other local restaurants and found this place. Drive into this small strip and wasn't sure about the place. When we walked in and saw how busy they were, we were encouraged. The foods were pretty good. The steak was a little bland but they supplied extra salad to pour over the grill steak to get more flavor. Also the grilled jalapeño were the best if you can handle spiciness. The drinks were great except too sweet, you can ask for extra water to dilute the sweetness. Overall, we had good experience. It's on the return list for future visits. read more

The workers here are really nice and generous. They give large portions and don't cut corners. They really understand their culture and business. Food was wonderfully delicious, one of the better Mexican restaurants around. In fact when I think about it now, I'm getting hungry for more. After spending 12 years in CA I developed a taste for the "stranger" meats. Very authentic, delicious Mexican food. This is the kind of place in which you order at the counter and then find yourself a seat. I love that their chips are so thick and salty, and the salsa packs a heat punch while also being tasty. My boyfriend got three tacos and I got the chicken fajitas. He really likes his tacos but liked the fajitas more. I found the fajitas to be on the greasy side, but they were really flavorful. For the quantity of food we got, both dishes were really well priced. The people working there are really friendly and helpful. I just found this gem a couple of months ago when I moved up to Bellingham. SO GLAD I DID. The best tacos north of the border. I probably stop in at least three times a week for their tacos pastor. So amazing. So cheap. So convenient on my way home on the Guide. The parking lot is small, but plenty of parking whenever I show up. They have a little place with outdoor seating plus a bus for indoor seating when it's cold. The gals at the counter help me with learning Spanish, BONUS. So pleasant....every time. Go here. This is awesome authentic Mexican food for very reasonable price. I had a veggie burrito and my partner had chicken tamales (a plate with beans, rice, salad and 2 tamales). My burrito was very flavorful with fresh peppers, onions, lettuce, beans and cheese. Tortilla must be hand made. The tamales had a wholesome homemade flavor. Everything was fresh. Loved it.
