Tule & Tule Fish burritos, Grilled Stuffed Cruncher time!
Mojdeh S.

How I heard of this place: My sister loves Tacos el Tule and recommended it during the pandemic as a great spot to grab food to go. We decided to try it again for our weekday picnic lunch. Type of cuisine: Street tacos, burritos, quesadillas and other similar offerings of Mexican cuisine. Ambiance: A bright yellow food truck, parked at a downtown corner diagonally across the street from the Whatcom Museum, they offer one folding table with four chairs for those wishing to eat outside rather than take their selections to go. What I ordered: On this trip, we selected the Tule Burrito ($9.50) - Flour tortilla, Rice, Pinto Beans, Meat, Onions, Cilantro, Lettuce, Cheese, Pico De Gallo, Avocado, Sour Cream, Jalapeños & Salsa; the Tule Fish Burrito ($9.50) - Flour tortilla, Rice, Pinto Beans, Fried Fish, Onions, Cilantro, Lettuce, Cheese, Pico De Gallo, Avocado, Sour Cream, Jalapeños & Salsa; and the Grilled Stuffed Cruncher ($9.50) - Grilled Flour Tortilla, Refried Beans, Meat, Cheese, Salsa, Crispy Tostada Shell, topped with Sour Cream, Pico De Gallo & More Cheese. In our group, we also had a chicken quesadilla, a Vegan Burrito and another Tule Burrito. What I loved: The large portions (burritos) make for a truly satisfying meal, while the kick of spice is a surprising and yummy touch. The Tule Burrito with chicken was a bit dry, but the flavors nice, and the fish was quite fishy (maybe fresh lime juice would help?), but moist and flavorful. Why I loved it: We love supporting local and immigrant businesses and it was a beautiful day to support this one. Thank you for the friendly faces, the smiles and the yummy food. Cost: Low to average

This food truck, located in downtown Bellingham in the parking lot of Accurate Lock and Security, provides great tacos and burritos at affordable prices. The burritos tend to be small, but are rich in flavor. There is also limited outdoor seating and the lines could get long during lunch hours.

Vegan Veggie Burrito !! Johnny had torta!! Thank you

Delicious typical inexpensive street tacos. Good location close to the courthouse. Yum!

Crispy chipotle burrito with pastor is the best thing you can do for yourself today

What are you doing if you're not eating a crispy chipotle burrito for lunch? This is the kind of burrito where you accidentally ate some of the foil from the wrapper because you couldn't unwrap your burrito fast enough. This is the kind of burrito that you eat ever day for lunch and you ask your self "should I really order this for the fourth time this week?" and you order it anyways because you realize this is self care. Do yourself a favor this week and order a crispy chipotle burrito. (If you aren't a spice person just get a normal rule burrito and you'll be golden) A fat burrito for $7 and super friendly staff will keep Tule my favorite lunch spot. Bring a little cash to tip these guys!

A fish burrito that is full of just warm beans :-(

I tried the fish burrito and was very disappointed with how dry and luke- warm it was. I had one bite of the fish and the rest was full of beans that were barely warm, not warm enough to warm up the cheese :-(

Simply excellent tacos at a very affordable price. House hot sauce is awesome. Why go to jalapeños when you can have Tacos el Tule:)

Not sure how the reviews are so high. Super bland. No flavor. I was told these were the best burritos in town. Definitely not the case

Vegetarian burrito is the best deal in town. Food is good. Order is always spot-on correct.

We were excited to try this place at first. Walking in they were playing cumbia and Latin music,…read morehad some cool decorations, were selling various Mexican candies and sodas. Menu looked like it covered all the usual and even had lengua. However, after receiving our burritos, we were sorry disappointed. The smell and look off my chicken burrito was unappealing. The burrito was also not nicely wrapped. I could smell the industrial flour tortilla before anything else. The burrito was mostly rice and the chicken was lacking in flavor. The menu said there was avocado in here but there was none! No pico de gallo inside to add some freshness. There was also one measlt slice of jalapeno. Even the little cups of green and red salsa they gave us on the side were watery and lakced flavor. Husband said his abodaba (pork) was also lacking in flavor. So sad. So disappointed. But I guess that's what you get at $8 for a burrito. Never returning.

This little brick 'n mortar with food truck style yumminess is still serving up tasty food, and their carne asada tacos, as always, did not disappoint. The prices have gone up a bit since I lived in the Ham, but the flavors were still the same deliciousness. I think the only thing that would make this place perfect would be the opportunity to pop open a cold Corona beer with my tacos (or even a margarita). It's a pretty small spot, though, so not sure that will happen. It's best to plan on getting takeout from here, as there aren't always tables available in their tiny seating area. I keep hoping they'll expand into the former restaurant next door - would be great to have a tasty, full-service Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood!

The restaurant seemed to be a house, with plenty of space. Bottled drinks and desserts are in the fridge cooler and to get them ourselves if we want that. I decided on the Mulitas instead of my usual enchilada plate. It's a smaller version with 3 mini size tortilla filled with meat of your choice. I had carnitas, beef and chicken. All were good. Served with beans and rice. My friend had the beef burrito and it was pretty big. She said it was tasty and very filling. It was literally the only meal she had for the day. It seemed to be a family run place and so service was a bit slow. We had to wait a while before someone came out to the counter for us to make payment. There was no bell to alert them. I noticed other customers popping into the kitchen/staff area to get their attention to take order.

We were looking for some good Mexican food for dinner and noticed this spot, long in the making, was finally open.
