I have never written a negative review in my life and simply put this review is the result of the way I was spoken to and hung up on mid conversation by the manager Donna at this salon. The call left me in tears as I've never experienced something like that. I've been getting Brazilian blowouts for years and decided to book one at Hunter Paige as they had a lot of free openings. The service was listed as the original "Brazilian Blowout" on their website. At the start of my appointment, my stylist flippantly mentioned how great it was that the new formula no longer had formaldehyde -- I hadn't heard of this before so when I asked if it would have the same effect, I was assured it would. It did not. What she put on my hair was the "Brazilian Blowout Free"treatment, which is a completely different product and without formaldehyde the end result is extremely different. After one wash, my hair looked completely untreated. When I called to address this, manager Donna hung up on me mid-conversation and told me 'no one else has complained, therefore your complaint is invalid.' She had no intention of hearing me out and every intention of dismissing me and being defensive. I followed up with a detailed email outlining my concerns and have received no reply. I later had the original Brazilian Blowout done at another salon, where my stylist confirmed the two formulas are entirely different treatments with different results -- and that the free formula has received many complaints. The Brazilian Blowout company's own website confirms these are two different products requiring separate certifications. The free formula was only introduced to the market in early 2025, yet I was told by Donna that they had been using it for 5 years ( which would be impossible)-- but I guess that was her way of saying they don't need to inform clients that they are going to provide a different service than the one they have listed on their website. Both the stylist and manager at Hunter Paige appear to lack the basic product education that should be required before performing and representing this treatment to clients. The photo difference speaks for itself. At the end of the day, they misrepresented and misled me on the product they were offering, and when asked a basic question about it, they were simply incorrect. It took me about 10 minutes of research to disprove every single argument they made to me. I deserved accurate information before my appointment, or at the very least an honest answer when I asked directly in the chair, not a bait and switch, a dismissive hang up, and silence. Although this review is specific to the Brazilian blowout treatment, I would not recommend this salon for anything based on the customer service I experienced from the manager. At the end of the day being kind and respectful costs absolutely nothing and would have gone a long way even if a refund wasn't possible. After talking with others who have been to the salon I know I'm not the only one who feels this way about the management. read more

Came in for a haircut two separate times. I liked my stylist enough. She was the best I could find in Nashville, so far, the past few years. (I can't remember her name since she isn't on the website anymore.) Wasn't the greatest by any means, but I liked her enough to try and schedule my third haircut for next week. Unfortunately, like I mentioned, she doesn't seem to work there anymore so I wanted to book just a simple trim with literally anyone else. I was denied now three times with no explanation. My experience being at this salon, and from other comments, as well as being denied now by three stylist for a simple trim; is that they hate money. They clearly don't want business. They could have a great thing going, but it seems they're too prideful to care about serving clients. I tip 50% or more usually but I'm not sure if they're discriminating based on tattoos, age, appearance or what it is. read more

The staff is always friendly and the salon is clean and modern. My daughter and I have seen 3 stylists at different price points over the past 3 years, and they've all been great! Megan Bird is amazing and does the best job with my hair of anyone ever! She asks and listens to what I want each visit, understands my vision, and does even better than I imagined every time! This was my first visit here and last. I wanted to really love this place but I'll go back to my old salon. I asked for some dimension low lights and a partial balayage. I will not mention the stylist name because she was nice and seemed to listen but it did not turn out. First thing my hair does not process just by sitting in foils, I always have to be put under the dryer. So I can't help but wonder if that was part of the problem. She cut my hair dry which I hate and it was the fastest cut in my life and I had to trim the uneven pieces at home. I witnessed a stylist across the way drop a round brush on the floor that she was using on her client. She proceeded to blow dry it off and used it back on the client I told my stylist I wanted curls not beach waves! Someone teach the stylists the difference between a curl and wave. She styled my hair how I hate it and once i got in the car I pulled it back in a ponytail. I know beach waves are the "in thing" but it does not last in my thick hair. Someone should be feeling confident and in love with their hair when they spend $240! I had to put it in a ponytail, come home to rewash it and style it myself. Update - I called prior to the snow storm about the color not processing. The nice receptionist told me to send before/after pics and she would send to manager who manages all 3 properties. I have been going to Hunter Paige for 4-5 years now. I started out going to Carly and getting partials for $90 and fulls for $120. Now they are $150 for a partial and almost $200 for a full, which would be fine except that at the same time prices rose, service declined. Carly was awesome, but once she left, I started going to Skye. I always give a new stylist multiple appointments because I feel like it takes time to learn a new client and get used to their hair....but I've tried 5 times now with this stylist. The last 4 appointments were not what I asked for at all. I asked for multidimensional blond and got the below. The last 3 times I was called an hour before my appointment and asked to come in 30 minutes later as the stylist was running late. This can be difficult if you are already driving, planning your errands around your appt, etc. I would look elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately I won't be returning to this salon for their poor management and policies. I called in the AM the day before my afternoon appointment to see if I could push my appointment back by about an hour or if not, then reschedule it because my child care cancelled on me last minute and this was my only option. There was no answer at about 9:35 am the phone rang and never went to an answering machine. I called back at my next free chance which was 3:05pm that same day, the girl at the front desk said my stylist had left for the day but she would contact her and then get back to me. 10 minutes later I received a text saying I must pay a $120 cancellation fee for cancelling my appointment less than 24 hour notice. My appointment was for 3:00pm the following day. So it was at this point 5 mins past being 24 hours. Although if the salon would have been reachable when I originally called it would not have been a problem? I called back and asked to speak to management when I received this text at around 3:15pm and I was told everyone has already left for the day but someone will be in touch with you tomorrow. Well it's been over a week and I never heard back. I totally understand cancellation policies and why they are in place, although I was never aware this salon even had one because they don't make that known I don't know if that's the fault of my stylist for not telling me or the salon itself but I didn't even want to cancel my appointment I was just hoping for some flexibility in the situation I was faced with. read more

Worse haircut ever. I saw Meg. I wanted long layers with some facial framing. The right side of my hair is noticeably longer than the left. The right side also has the layers and light facial framing while the left side is just pretty blunt cut almost with no layers. Honestly looks awful for $70 I expected better. I'm terrified to have her fix it. I won't be going back. read more

I first heard about Sarah when I noticed another woman's hair, I just loved the blonde highlights and I had to find out who created this look. Turns out it was Sarah , so I decided to go, and am I glad I did. I liked the atmosphere and energy of the place, no pushy selling or rudeness here. Sarah is authentic and I really appreciate how she was very kind with my hair, considering she was now faced with the task of fixing fine dry lightly orange with a touch of brass into a great icy blonde that happens to look more natural! That's the work of a very talented Sarah, who clearly loves her art. She has the great ability to access and diagnose, then provide solutions and all with a great sense of humor. She is an asset to the salon and needless to say, I'm going to be back. Finally, I also appreciated the amount of current knowledge and advice given. read more

I would give 10 stars if I could! Seriously, Brooke is fabulous! I went in for a change because I was tired of my natural (slightly boring!) brown hair but I wasn't looking for too much of a change. I knew I wanted balayage and I had a few pictures that I liked but I needed help making a decision. Brooke gave me her opinion on each picture and in the end I left with exactly what I was looking for! She listened to what I wanted (and what I didn't) and explained her process along the way. Not to mention that she was as sweet and funny as she could be! As for the salon, the environment is perfect! It was accommodating, relaxing, and professional. You're greeted with a smile and everyone was sweet. Having just moved here from Arkansas, I can't tell you how thankful I am that I found my go-to salon on the first try! read more

I was interested in going to the other salon but told that they couldn't accommodate which was fine the recommended I try Hunter Paige. Never again. Kasey Slattery was my stylist. I hate having to give an overall business a poor rating due to a bad experience but that's how we learn and I just consider it more of feedback then anything. I was interested in just a Blowout had my hair done by another salon and requested on the phone to please do a blow-dry not wanting a flat iron I made that very clear and the receptionist clearly stated that her stylist Kasey can handle the task. Great I booked m y appointment. So when I arrived for my actual appointment I met Kasey at the desk. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she said that was easy she could do this. I even mentioned when you blow dry my hair to please don't be afraid to pull with the curling brush as if you're ironing my hair with the blowdryer. It was like pulling teeth with her because it took her a while to warm up and she should've had a warm smile from the beginning. When my hair was being blown out I asked her why it wasn't curly as requested and she said "Oh you want curls". Well yes, I showed you the photos. I don't do flat irons. "Oh okay, she said with that "Fake smile". At that point I was done. If you can't blow dry hair you have no business doing hair. My hair when done was so frizzy and flat and thick which was not what I asked and not what I showed her.I don't expect ever stylist to get every picture but when you ask for a blow-dry and ask if you have someone that can blow-dry thick course hair and are told yes we have and she's Kasey then what's the problem? I couldn't leave like that and I said just use to iron PLEASE and she said don't worry about it I won't charge you which she should have considering more time was wasted! The bill came to $75. for a BLOW DRY????? She screwed up and had to use a flat iron which I requested NOT to use on the phone and then sitting in her chair. $75 for a Blow-dry when I was told it would not exceed the amount of $50. Then she had to check to see if she could fit me in the use the iron so that was more time taken out of my scheduled appointment and then I'm charged more money for her mistake which she clearly admitted she couldn't blow dry my hair the way I asked. Skye is the BEST!! She is an incredible wizard with my brown/blonde hair! She always goes above and beyond to make my hair look gorgeous. I came to her with foiled solid colored too-blonde hair, and she's transformed it into the hair color I've always wanted! It's healthy, it's blended, it's cool and I feel so beautiful every time I leave her chair. I also look amazing in between appointments as she does a great job with grow out! she didn't make sure the length she was cutting was the one I wanted, didn't ask how I wanted my hair styled and came up with the curler, cut more than I wanted and one side is shorter than the other, aaaand it just looks like I could've done this myself at home. Also felt like she wanted me out of there right after she finished, so kinda felt kicked out. So I'm not coming back sorry, I'm sure the other girls Are great but the one I got wasn't. read more

I have never been more disappointed with a salon in my entire life. I flew in from California to have me and my fiancé's hair done the night of our rehearsal dinner and the an entire bridal team do our hair and makeup on wedding day. My appointment was on our rehearsal dinner night. My hair was intended to be colored to the original color that I had gotten by the Exact same girl 3 months prior. I have a dark chocolate hair color with blonde highlights throughout. My HAIR WAS BLONDE. I literally was balling and in shock that she had messed up my hair so so so badly the night before MY WEDDING DAY! NOT ONLY WAS I 2 hours late to my own rehearsal dinner. But I had to leave with a color I was unfamiliar with and so unconfident in. I'm more than livid. I'm more than disappointed. I had a 6:00 pm appointment this evening with Kendra. I arrived early only to be told that Kendra was not there and my appointment had been cancelled. No one able to accommodate me. I was turned away and told there was nothing they could do. I took a Uber to and from a hotel to this salon. Very disappointed. I am a regular customer here..sent my 2 daughters age 17,21 to another stylist who had previously cut their hair and they liked. Today she told my one daughter it was too busy in the salon to wash her hair so she had to dry cut it. I'm sorry but if ur too busy to provide a full service for an appointment made a month ago then call to reschedule. I feel she took advantage of them because I wasn't with them. The salon was clean, well decorated, and fresh, and the woman at the front was very welcoming. Kelsey was my stylist and did a fantastic and through job. Wow! Katie Archer rocks! A friend recommended I go to her for color and a cut. I was very explicit with my instructions for both my cut and color. I couldn't be happier! She did exactly what I asked her to do and I love my hair! My color is so beautiful! It's the best color I have ever had and my cut is so pretty and easy to style. I called the first week of September to book an apt. for hair styling for my sister's wedding, which is October 5th. As everyone in the wedding industry is aware, time is of the essence on wedding days. Once I received confirmation I could be seen at noon, I made arrangements for my makeup, transportation, etc. Two weeks later, I received a call from someone at Hunter Paige that "one of their stylist was in a wedding that day too" and could I come in at 9 a.m. so the person assigned to do my hair could tend to her coworker/bride. I said no, that was a bit too early since pictures weren't until 3. She asked if I could come in at 10 a.m. I said I would like to keep the noon appointment I made as I have already ironed out the schedule for the day. I was then basically told that noon wasn't going to work anymore. I am never one to do reviews; in fact, this is my first one. But receiving that poor of treatment, not to mention the fact I had to desperately find someone to do my hair that can fit a certain time frame two weeks before a wedding, prompted my first negative review.
